I'd like this place to be a nice little thread for posting links to fanfics that we believe are worth mentioning. Also mention one for publicity if you like there are just a tiny bit of things that I'd like you to mention for everyone's beneift.

1. Who wrote it, be it you or a friend. (Give the poeple credit they deserve it

2. What Gundam series it is. Or if it is an original, how it pertains to gundam.

3. Warnings of yaoi or yuri for those who don't like it.

4. A simple maturity rating. (Most fics have them somewhere if linking to something from ff.n or mediaminer)

5. A 1-3 sentence description of the fic so others know what they're getting into when they click it.

Other than that I just ask that you PLEASE keep them links. I don't think everybody wants to scroll through a 4 page post to get to a fanfic link below it. sweatdrop Feel free to discuss anything posted here. It's always good to have feedback for something you have posted. So have fun!! I'll post a few as soon as I can sort through my favorites.

Quick question: does it have to be Wing? I'm in the middle of a pretty good SEED fic, and I may read some UC, so I want to know if it's okay to post those. Just thought I'd ask in case you were touchy on it.

Also, I recently started what could be a Gundam fanfic in general. I say general, because instead of using any of the current Gundam universes I've instead gone and created my own. Basically, it involves what starts off as a war between Earth and Mars, with the main character basically being my avatar Aona. (I made up the character around the time I joined Gaia).

Aona lives in the city of Elios II, in the small island nation of Verdania, which supports the (generic) Earth Alliance (better name to come soon). The country consists mostly of those who left Mars when it declared its rebellion and returned to Earth, Aona and her family being among those. Her father is the founder of a modest mobile suit engineering firm, which has a large factory in Elios II that produces a wide variety of utility and construction mobile suits, though avoiding military work. This factory, however, contains a secret which threatens to jeopardize not only Elios II and Verdania, but the entirety of the Earth Alliance.... and even more threats lie just beneath the surface of a growing fault line among the greatest powers of the Earth Alliance.

The story is obviously Gundam based, with common Gundam terminology and the use of orbital space colonies and large, UC/CE style battleships. The atmosphere will have a more military, UC feel to it, and much of the technology will have its basis in UC, which has the most written on the technical details of the machinery. There will be some Wing influence however, especially in the area of character influence. I'm not completely sure where I want the philosophical themes to lie yet, that will come with time.

And don't expect it anytime soon. I might have a couple chapters written in the next year, if even that. I write slowly, and it might be flat-out bad, but I'm going to give it a shot, writing short stories (non-Gundam) on the side in order to give myself extra practice. Most of this will come to fruition over the summer, as school and track are quite time consuming.

Anyway, I've bored myself with my ranting. Back to your regular, modestly posted on topics.

I like both Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa, but I'm more fixed on Tsubasa right now.

Yes go ahead and post it Aona. I'm going to change it and add another requirement. Just what gundam series it is if any.

May as well plug my stuff...

Codename: Lightning - A continuation of Wing after Endless Waltz, in which political and personal stress drive Relena to the brink and she leaves her old life behind, becoming a Preventer. Her timing is pretty good, since a faction of Romafeller loyalists has risen and is preparing to take back the planet. Currently at Chapter 6 our of a projected 12, and will feature characters and machines from all official Gundam Wing series, as well as stuff from other Gundam universes (it's not as cheesy as it sounds) and original designs. Rated PG-13 for violence, swearing, and some intimacy (but it's not going to get graphic).

New Mobile Morphin Power Rangers W - A parody of Power Rangers (the American interpretation of Japan's sentai series) with the main cast of Gundam Wing being made unwilling Rangers by Treize's head in a jar and battling the evil forces of Dorothy and her minions. Sounds innocent, but this is a pretty cynical parody so there's a bit of swearing and violence, plus heavy alcohol use.

Path of the Comet - An alternate take on the original Gundam series, where Casval Deikun (better known to us as Char Aznable) decides that he has a better chance of revenge by siding with the Earth Federation. Focuses on the original series but has references to other UC works like Stardust Memory and Blue Destiny. Currently only one chapter, but well-reviewed and I plan on continuing it...eventually.

The Circle of Vice - No link because I don't have the webspace for it. ^_^;; This is my series of lemonfics set in the Wing universe. The first, Not That Innocent, has Relena attempting to hint to Heero that she's ready to be intimate - but he misses the hints because he's trying to avoid looking like a pervert. This was originally one fic, but my friends have convinced me to turn this into a four-parter. The sequel will contain RelenaXDorothy and will be my attempt to write a yuri lemon that breaks the stereotypes (they don't get together because their intended guys are gay, it's not despiration sex, there's nothing kinky, etc). The third story will have Heero learning about this (uh-oh), and the fourth will round out the series.

She is a friend of mine. She has a ton of Gundam Wing fanfics under her belt. I will highly reccomend Reminiscence Of War. There is yaoi. Some fics focus on it some you forget its there until certain situations pop up. I warn you now she likes to push the limits of ff.n ratings. None have gone above "M" there are some that are lower. I highly reccomend her fics. There are just some you might want to watch out of OOCness in some chapters.
