Her black shape all but vanishes into the shadow of the trees as she leaps up onto and half fallen log, causing dry leaves to rustle gently, her tail waving as she peers around with intent red eyes.
"Nothing up here..." She declares a moment or two later, swiping at the log with sharp, infant claws, stripping bark in delicate lines. "Just some old bugs..." She snorts, as she looks back to her brothers white gleaming shape in the false gloom of the forest. "Anything?"

"Tsk." Sekhmet growls, shredding more bark from the tree. A passionate child, she seems to have absorbed every emotion shaken off by her cold, logical brother, though this doesn't make her nearly as irrational as one might assume as the result. "Bird bones would at least BE something. I'm tired of playing with the fish in Uncle Maji's pool." shr grumbles, sinking to her haunches like a panther in a tree, before leaping down in front of her younger brother.

"The dust?" Sekhmet notes, shaking her own black coat to try and clear it of the light dust. "Ich...I know. It's like it's turning into a desert. I don't like it." She growls, swishing her tail. "This is so BORING though. Chasing bugs is for BABIES."

"You have someone in mind?" She inquires, quirking an ear with interest, licking her paws back to glossy black perfection. "Uncle Enki maybe? Someone else? This is your idea, lets hear it..."

"His mane is funny." She agrees. "So's dad's....I'm glad I'm a GIRL...I can't imagine having that giant ruff in my way." She notes, flipping her tail proudly. So what if male lions grew up bigger, bigger didn't nessisarily mean much, especially not smarter, and she'd never have that huge fluff of a mane to get in her way and tangle in the brush. She'd also seen the way her father acted around her mother. Females had power, and as far as she could tell, it all but bordered on the mystical if applied correctly.

"I don't even want to think about having cubs, not yet away..." She sniffs, considering this a long way off. "It's going to have to be a really impressive lion to make me want to have his cubs. I'm not just going to make cubs with just ANYONE...we're too special. Its obvious." SHe notes, running after her brother.

Kisu's ears perked up as the two cubs approached where he, too, was hunting for some manner of food other than the now bland tasting fish. Fish for every meal, he was lucky to have the taste of red meat any more. Maji had even joined in the hunting parties to hunt along the boarder for meat, he didn't like to leave the lands but fish weren't breeding fast enough to feed a full pride- and with more and more rogues simply invading the lands without permission, food was growing scarce.

Kisu was older than his two cousins, and often liked to flaunt that around though he was by no means more graceful than them. He often found his flaunting led to such embarassing situations as being stuck in a tree or tripping over his own paws. It seemed his eagerness to impress always had him a bit blind.

He crouched down aganst the ground as the two approached, his tail whipping around as he waited. Just a second before they were on him he'd leap out with his best attempt at a roar, holding his paws up to make him look larger, "GOTCHA!"

"Beat the fluff out of me?" He smirked, craning his neck back a bit, "A cute little 'darling' like you? Shouldn't talk to your elders that way." He snickered a bit, his ears drawing back a bit, "You shoulda seen the look on your face though. Classic."
