A group divided. Separated by time but still with each other in spirit. Some lost forever. Some still with us on this plain of existence. Their lives melded together in a flurry of friendship and insanity.

Who is this group? What does the future hold for them?

"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father: prepare to die."

Inigo slashed Count Rugen once on the cheek, leaving a clean wound with crimson flowing freely. Inigo stood back as his opponent tried a clumsy counter attack and kicked Count Rugen's weapon out of his hand.

"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father: prepare to die."

Inigo slashed again, leaving a wound on the other cheek. Count Rugen's hands shot up immediately, his eyes pleading and a low whimpering escaping his lips. Inigo stared into those pleading eyes with cold and justified fury, knowing his triumph was at hand.

"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father: prepare to die."

He slashed once more, across the chest this time. A deep, unforgiving wound gushed with blood and Rugen collapsed, shock setting in and his lips glowing red.

"STOP SAYING THAT!"

Inigo stabbed the evil Count one last time, jamming it deep into the flesh and the pulling it out slowly. He watched Rugen's face shatter with pain and then observed how the muscles in the man's face relaxed when his body gave out. Inigo stood and then spat on the body, turning as he said his final lines.

"Goodbye, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father: and you have died."

As soon as Inigo stepped off the stage, curtains fell into place and he pulled off the bandana covering one eye and tossed his sword away. Ksrugi's short, spiked hair pointed up immediately and he grinned to the people around him.

"So was that scene good or should we try it again?"

Back on stage, the "dead" Rugen groaned.

Eiji fiddled with his pen, even though he was writing the book on the computer.

"Hmm, maybe some fresh air would help me write."

He opened the window and climbed out onto his roof. He eyed the ground warily, then jumped onto the lawn.

"Good thing I live on the 2nd floor and not higher..."

He said unlocking his car and getting in it, just as his editor opened the door of his room and ran to the window. All she caught sight of was the tail end of his car.

"Right then, if rehearsal's over then I'll be going now."

Ksrugi flashed a smile to the director and she smiled warmly at him, nodding and turning back to the rest of the cast. He gently closed the door behind him, starting for his motorcycle when her frenzied screams were heard again. Crows flew into the sky, the earth ripped open, and an angel lost it's vocal chords, but at least the cast was being blamed instead of him.

He tossed a leg over his cycle and then mounted it and started it, waiting a second to appreciate the gentle rumbling of the engine. And then he sped off into the night, trying to ride away his disgust.

Ever since Site B, nothing was a challenge anymore. Work? Pfft, the scientists there wouldn't know meiosis from mitosis if their lives depended on it. Leisure delights? Nothing got his blood racing anymore, nothing gave him a sense of satisfaction anymore. Friends? He only had one band of good friends, the rest of the world could go to Hell in a handbasket and he wouldn't care. This acting gig was supposed to be a way to get his minds off things, but it was fast becoming more of a chore than a joy.

Ksrugi's hands left the cycle's handle bars and reach into his coat pocket, fishing out an MP3 player. He popped the earphones in and then a soft ballad played into his ears, quickly turning into an upbeat song that made him smile and encouraged him to make the cycle accelerate a bit. He nimbly rode through heavy traffic, dodged pedestrians that were stupidly walking in the middle of the road, and kept an eye out for the police.

He sighed when no police caught him driving so recklessly and stopped in front of a small, modern two story flat. He parked his motorcycle in the garage and the door opened for him when he stepped close to it, a device he devised on his own. Once inside, he flopped onto a couch and promptly reached for the remote.

Eiji wondered what he could do, life was so free for him, but he missed his days back at Site B. Sighing he pulled up in front of a Borders.

"I might as well get some reading in...give my eyes a break from looking at a screen all day. Come to think of it...I might also pick up some new ideas for the event..."

Eiji pulled out the latest of a manga series and sunk into a nice cushy chair and started to read

Ksrugi snorted as the zombie movie played on. Consumerism indeed....militant bikers indeed....flesh eating zombies? Meh, old news. He cast a look over his left wall, his trusty shotgun hung up with numerous notches, an old pistol laying dismantled on a table nearby, and a rusty katana, unsheathed and rusted with blood that was held upon a cherry wood stand. His trusty weapons, and a ready source of the G Virus should he ever need it.

With the thoughts of the virus and his olden days, Ksrugi thought back to Site B. All of their good times, their follies, their massive wars with rival corporations. He grinned and looked over a newspaper article of former President of G Corp, Zgpad, being dethroned by Bono and Tao.

"Ah, where are you guys now?"

Ksrugi walked over to the bathroom and stripped, getting ready for a bath. He ran himself some warm water and slipped into the tub, stretching out for a moment and letting his muscles relax. Numerous cuts, scars, and wounds marked his lightly built body, he ran his finger over a particularly nasty one on his thigh. It didn't hurt anymore, not physically anyway. He was well beyond that, but from time to time a pang of reverance would rise within him, knowing full and well he got off easy instead of the fate others suffered.

Ksrugi sighed and sank beneath the water, just letting go and trying to relax.

731 threw the book against the wall of her room in frustration. It wasn't an ordinary book. It was a book of names, baby names to be exact. She had many of such books littering the floor of her room. She needed these books and anything, anything at all that would jog her memory.

She frowned and picked up the book and stared at it as if trying to force it to tell her what she needed to know. Nothing. It was hopeless, she had tried everything she could think of to remember. She knew the memories were there just locked away.

Her hand moved to a thin scar on the side of her head. It had happened so long ago, the event that had taken her memory or at least part of it from her. She had thought that by finding her name everything else would just come back to her, but all she had found were dead ends, nothing that would jog her memory. All the records that she was able to find were absloutlely useless. Anything pertaining to her name parents and birthplace had either been destroyed or somehow lost.

It was frustrating and it made her want to scream. She threw herself facedown upon her bed. She wanted to cry, but didn't. Crying wouldn't help her. 731 took a few deep breaths and rolled over on her back and stared at the ceiling. She closed her eyes and was soon dead to the world.

Jake had exhausted most of his contact list when he was struck with an idea. Tao had said Retloc was dead, his location would be easy to find. Deaths involving sniper rifles were rare occurances and last time Jake had checked Retloc was a spy- there nothing to say he had been keeping close tabs on the rest of the group. Perhaps Retlocs death was not in vain. He quickly lept from the chair in the offices and headed outside, getting onto his motorcycle he sped off. He would have to be quick. Tao needed the group back together.

He had arrived at Retlocs old house without a hitch, things were coming together well but he pondered if Tao would even make it to that wretched facility at the time. He cracked the lock on the door and pushed his way through- the room was littered with papers and documents. On the wall hung corkboard packed with pictures of Durant. Retloc really had all the dirt on this guy and it was painfully obvious why he had been killed. Durant had planned this all out down to a t with precision and perfection.

Jake turned and looked down across the desk, a picture sat there almost taking pride of place amidst the carnage and chaotic messof papers and info- it was of a group of people outside a building, a sunny day- they were all smiling wearing labcoats. Jake bent over and looked a little closer, it was them, it was the crew. He smiled as he noticed a fresh faced Tao in the picture. How things had changed. He shrugged off the nostalgia, after years of searching for what many considered to be a mythical area invented by a madman to cover his tracks Jake had felt like he was somehow connected to the people in Site B.

His hands searched the desk and he finally came across a small set of files stacked atop of the desk, they looked like they had been recently checked over and read. Names, numbers, pictures, character profiles, references- the works. Time to get to work. He started with Bono Vox, Ksrugi and all the other main membersof the crew.
