bush really doesnt have anything to do with it. hes just the figure head, he doesnt write the laws. this country as a collective, sadly, does not view things the way we do, and as corrupt as the system is or isnt, the lawmakers and public opinion are the only deciding factors in this case. lay off bush, he probably is doing a better job than kerry would have done, though kerry is more open minded to such things.
my predictions for the next election is a democratic president, as much heat as bush is getting from everyone rolleyes

Actually, Kerry said he was also opposed to gay marriage. That made me sad when I heard it sad because he was my favorite in the primaries. I stopped supporting him until it was just him vs. Bush.
The problem is that many Christians (and others w/ their respective religions) believe that the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin. Regardless of whether that's wrong, regardless of freedom of religion, they believe that what they believe is true, and so are against gay marriage.

You guys gotta remember, Gay Hate transends race, political party, religion, gender, whatever - just cause one man is a figure head doesnt mean jack. There are peopel out ther who hate us. The only ones that I can find responsible are those like Reverend Fred Phelps and thier Zealot Campaign of Anti Gay Damnation Spreading Holyer Than Thou Attitudes that make life for us so hard. Dont blame Bush (even though I agree hes a b*****d) but blame the people who influence him... hell, blame all of Homophobia on Influence, and the random fear that some joe shmoe happened to have way back in history and decided to make homosexuality "wrong."

Any poiliticon seems to be extremly focused on banning homosexuality and homosexual marrige. Like that is the real problem America really needs to worry about. I qoute Lewis Black on this, "Gays getting married is a much as a worry to America as the question, Are we eating to much garlic as a people?"

Amazingly enough, to all of you who don't really understand the whole "GWB" concept", he's doing what he feels is right for his country.
And it's not HIM directly who gets to decide. It's a democracy, not a dictatorship. So therefore it's not Bush who has almighty power over the topic.
Canada's leader is against gay marriage, but we still have it. Why? Because the MAJORITY of the people who voted wanted to allow gay marriage.
So you must realize that the MAJORITY of americans do not want to allow gay marriage. You're just going to have to live with that and go somewhere that does allow it.
In fact, to my knowledge, the gay marriage issue goes by state, not the country as a whole at the moment. So you shouldn't be blaming Bush, just because he's homophobic. It's the way he's been brought up.
In fact, I'm irritated at everybody who says they hate Bush. Because guess what?
It's not like you could do a better job. You don't have the training to deal with all the stress and global issues and politics. He's doing the best he can, cut him some slack.
No, I'm not a Bush supporter. I don't necessarily like what he does, but I know that I can't do better on any level, so I DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT IT.

I agree with Sutiiver.Although I do not agree with Bush, one man cannot agree with everyone. If he were open-minded to everything, nothing would get done.If he agreed with one thing you do, he would have a mob of millions going against that too.Any president that's elected is,of course, going to stand by religion wheteher they believe it or not.Should it be like that?I don't know.I would say stay true to myself, but I can't wrap my brain around the immense responsibilities of a president. neutral

eek I don't like that he's anti-gay I don't like that my uncle is in Iraq because of him I don't like that he could have stopped 9/11, but didn't.
I guess it's good that he's made a lot of new jobs in America... hmmm... oh, and also, I guess he must be doing SOMETHING right! I mean, there's only three things wrong that I don't like! am I right?[/sarcasm]

I'll be honest. At the beginning of the election, way back in 2000 I liked GWB. He just made a few bad decisions when running our country. For instance, he sent the National Guard to Iraq. Let me spell it out for you, the National Guard is suposted to GUARD OUR NATION! NOT! some other country half way around the world. This decision left us all short changed when disaster struck. Namely Hurricane Katrina, Come on, Wal-Mart responded faster than the government, and you can't deny that was Bush's decision. Not to mention, he just appointed two new Justices to the Supreme Court, both of whom were former republicans. For the first time in history, the Court is not only overwealming male, but also Roman Catholic. What does this tell you? Bush is trying to push his views on us for years after he is out of office. Not to mention he wants the courts to overturn the ruling on Roe vs. Wade. (case that set the presidence for pro choice in abortion).

It is the one's who got him in office. Don't focus your dislike on just him, focus it on the whole idea that Gay/ Bi is horrid. The thing of it is, we're a minority and their is nothing that can stop that. Bush never really said it was a plain out sin and that is why he isn't allowing Gay marriage in general. If he did, then i could see your point. I dislike the man for choices made with the terrorist dispute. Gay marriage neglection, is basically a country decision. So, if you're just mad at him because of that then hate discriminatory people. I do.

Well, technically it is for our nation. "National Security," But and this is where it is great.. The government also has the ability based on that fear of security, has the right to imprison our citizens in other countries and interogate them by what laws that other country has. So, let's say you're suspected for being a terrorist. <.< Kablam, you're going to Guatamala or wherever they have their camps.

Since you guys all HATE Bush soooooo much, (Especially since most of you aren't at the legal voting age yet and probably don't know much about what the President goes through and actually does.. rolleyes )
Who would YOU have voted for hmm? Valid reasons too. Prove you're politically intelligent.
"I'd vote for *insert name here* instead because I don't want to see Bush in power." doesn't count.
.. seriously. If you guys are going to have opinions and feelings as strong as HATE, you should at LEAST justify them.
