It's a ... guitar synthesizer pickup and pedal. I was just kinda wondering how it worked or so... I thought it seemed kinda nifty, so I was just wondering if anyone tried one out before. It seems mighty expensive, but I've always wanted to have some synth sounds from my guitar too.

it'll basically let you mix MIDI sounds in with your guitar sound...

I've use something similar to that unit while with a "midi" band. The band never went over well with me, so I wound up sacrificing the pickup/unit to get out.

If it's anything like what I've used, you can probably get guitar sounds out of it, but it's also possible to get sounds like piano or flute out of it. This tool would be extremely useful if you could only take the midi signal from the guitar and get it somewhere else(like a computer).

Which would then make it almost exactly like hooking an electric keyboard (which is just a synth anyway) up to your computer.

Then you can use a midi-capable program to compose songs.

I can normally figure out parts on keyboard if i need to, but I don't have a keyboard sad

Yeah, I looked into it a lil' more, and it says that to create midi data into your computer, you'll need another device: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/MIDI?sku=150094
Haha, dammit, this would be really expensive. If I ever get the dough, I think it would be really fun though. xp
