Here's the scene where Kenshin almost kills Tomoe when she's trying to cover him with a blanket. In the OVA, they're drawn to resemble actual people. In the manga, they're drawn as traditional comic book characters. A.)  B.)

I don't know what to say...!! I mean, I love both. They're both unique and beautiful art styles. But I guess if I reeeaaally had to choose I'd say the manga, because I just LOVE Watsuki's style! 4laugh

...wow... that is a hard one.... harder then i thought it would be. the ovas have their own interesting style. But I love Watsuki-sans style for manga alot too.. @_@

Well I have already prefered the OVA series though the manga gives a more immediancy to the situation and a feel. I can really choose like miken-chan they are both just so wonderfully wonderful!

I prefer the OVA style for pure awesomeness but the manga style for portability & the look of :Someone put a load of effort into this!

I thought the OVA was better, but now I've read vol 20 and I think they are equal, but good in diffrent ways 3nodding

I always hated the OVA style.. but that's just me, I love the comic strip look.

Rise.Of.The.Dead I always hated the OVA style.. but that's just me, I love the comic strip look. Yeah, I know a ton of people that hate the OVA style... It's too serious looking or something for them I guess... sweatdrop

I really like them both. It is really hard to choose, but if i was forced to I would choose the manga style. I have nothing against the OVA style. I like the OVA style. it is different, so therefore i like it. LIke i said... I really like them both. xd

I'd have to say that I like the manga version better. I've never been one for how OVAs turn out. The shading just looks wrong to me, almost like it's cel-shaded. It goes from one color to a more extreme of that same color (i.e. brown to very light brown) I like the manga's style of using lines of black to make the shading. But that's just my opinion...
