What is a charm?

A charm is defined as: Something that brings good luck when combined with a gesture or a chant. It can also cure or prevent illnesses or afflictions, ward off evil or harm and secure good fortune. Amulets are charms derived from natural objects.

I have a few items I own.
Precious stones and crystals are important, I use them to draw out powers, or SEE better.

Symbols, I try to stay away. It's much to complex for me. But I did learn a bit of Rune.

Tarot cards? I def. stay away. You may not know it, but those that use them way to much, might fight something, or have something in them that shouldn't be in there. You will get prone to possession. Like the Oouji board. So if I must read cards. I use a regular deck of cards. it's more accurate then tarot cards. Really, it's true.

What else am I missing?

Charms? I use herbs most of the time for that. I grow them in my yard. If not. I uses the chinese ones. ~~ Must those symbols be so difficult to write?! ARGH!

Talismen? Come in many shapes and forms. Some just use the virgin mary or even el ninyo, jesus. The cross, only works if you believe in the faith though. Me? Hmm, I haven't gotten one yet. I'd like to, but I want to find the one that works for me. >.>;; Which isn't easy.

Ooh, good point Scarlet, I forgot about crystals. The different colors supposedly bring you different kinds of luck, right? smile

I dont believe in this Talismans, charms thing

I think it depends. If you don't believe in it, then it's not going to work. I can't say I have anything other than a clay pig, and it hasn't been tested. My silver rose ring, being my crest, might bring luck my way on occasion.

In my experience lucky charms have sometimes work. I think they really have a lot to do with your mindset towards though. Symbols are really interesting actually. In my opinion the symbols meaning really attracts what will happen. For instance a very common one is the crusifix. The belief about the symbol really attracts what the belief is and makes it happen. Talismans are interesting i cant say i know that much about them though.
