Congratulations!!!!! I was 21 when I found out I was having my first baby. He's now 17. Wow1111

So, you know soon enough you'll be sick to death of adivce from moms. but since you asked....well, first thing is take great care of yourself. It's good for you and for your baby. Get the rest you need. Get a good Doctor that you trust, and listen to his/her adivxce, but read as much as you can, so you stay informed.

Drink plenty of water,,,avoid alcohol, caffeine, hair color, and other stinky chemical stuff, ask your Dr about what medicines you should or shouldn't atake in genereal if you don't totally need it, don't take it.

Moring sickness sucks, but is actually a sign that your baby is healty. IF iit's bugging you though and you just can't eat talk to your Doc. Ginger Ale, melba toast, Ginger Crackers, etc are good for easing the upset stomache feelings. It's usually over before you hit 16 weeks.

There's so much more you'll learn, and probabbly want to know, but my littlest one age five just popped into the kitchen to tell me that he can't sleep.

GL and please Pm or Post as much as you'd like. and of course

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Your life will just get better and better from here! I can't wait to hear about the first time you hold that new lttle person.

Hi there, So you're having you're first one at 21? Thats a good age to start at, I had my first daughter when I was 18 and now im nearly 20 fixing to have my second child. I would advice you, that if you're starting to have morning sickness early in the mornings, that before you get out of bed have some crackers set by you're bed and have a few before you stand up. It really saved my a** 1st and 2nd pregancey. If you're tight on money, whice alot of us are in the begoning, I would advise you to start setting back a few dollers here and there. BELIEVE ME you will be greatful for it. Im spending close to 250 a month on dipers, whipps and infamil.I was so greatful to my sisters , after I had my daughter my sisters bought 3 months worth of dipers for us.LOL Its so cute watching my husband change his first diper, you'll get a kick out of the faces guys make if its there first shitty diper.LOL!

I was lucky, my parents have me finacally covered (they said they dont want to me get a job they want me to work on my education so i can get a good job later on when we move out). But yes, I agree, start putting money away.
Whatch your diet, if before you got pregnant you dident eat very well, start.
Get in to see your doctor asap. The sooner the better. I know some people that though out their whole pregnancy never saw a doctor becuse they were minors and dident want to tell their parents about the baby so they dident have the money to pay for treatment. Dont be one of them, if u dont have the moneytalk to family or friends, or get on state insurance.
take it easy, dont carry anything too heavy. Doing so can tear the placenta from your uterus and you could bleed to death.
In joy the little angel. And Have fun with this wonderful pregnancy. You know its really not that bad.

Congrats! biggrin How far along are you?

I guess my advice would be financial. Don't go out and buy a bunch of expensive things. It's very tempting but babies grow so fast and you seriously will not use half the stuff more then once or twice. Thrift stores carry a lot of nice baby clothes for cheap, as well as other stuff. Or look in other stores that carry second hand baby stuff. You can find a lot of great deals.

Hmm...other then that...document your pregnancy as much as you can! Even on the days when you feel bloated, sick, fat and ugly. You're beautiful and once it's over, it's over. Take pictures, keep a diary, do a belly cast, anything. Just don't let it pass you by without taking some time to make some mementos. It's so fun to pull them out and look back on them.

wink

HollyWog Is right about buying stuff! I bought some of the cutist cloths from Rosses and the Local goodwill. I about died when I was at walmart and buying baby stuff, a baby jumper was 5 dollors o.O. I bought a 5 piece out fit at rosses for 4.50. Look for good deals! But make sure you're rich relatives know about the baby and stress how much you would like to get some nice baby things.LOL My husband grand mother is really well off, she was going to baby stores in Cali paying up to 100$ for baby blankets and outfits. eek

Good advice...Gee, wonder if I know you. stare I don't have any kids (birthed. I take care of my foster siblings)and have never been pregnant, so..(I swear!) Go to the doctor regularly, and don't forget! Swimming is good for you!
