((Ask to join outside this thread, please! We'll welcome anyone, but we'd like some warning. 3nodding ))
Dani sighed as she sat on the steps leading up to the Velveteen Toychest, fingering a slip of paper in her black-furred hand. "We did settle on a time, right?" she asked worriedly. "And I'm just early, right? I hope so; if she doesn't come I'll be worried...heck, I'm worried now, but I'm always worried. Do I worry too much, Minnie?"Minnie sighed and nodded in the half-fox's lap, as though to say, "you always worry too much, what else is new?" Between her paws there lay a shining cat's eye marble; something she had chosen as a gift from Dani's collection as a gift for the little feline plush she had heard of.
She looked up at the halfling, deep brown eyes curious. "Do you think it'll like it?" she seemed to ask. "I think they'll like it," Dani said consolingly, running her free hand over the bear's back. Minnie growled contendedly as she trapped the tiny glass ball beneath her paws again, hiding it from sight protectively. Dani chuckled to herself as she rested her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands, staring down the street in first one direction, then another. "I hope they get here soon..."

((Sorry 'bout the delay, btw, exactly how animated are the plushies?))
Shiara walked around the corner and spotted the half-fox sitting on the steps. Catching her eye, she waved as she picked up her pace. "Dani, right? I was told to meet you here for a play date." She held out her hand, "I'm Shiara, and this," she held up the pink and white persian cat plush that she carried in her arms, "is Sebastian. I'm assuming that this lovely lady is Minnie, correct?" This was the first play date she and 'Bastian had been to, so she was a little unsure of how to react, or what to expect.
"Hope you don't mind that I brought along one of my cats." Kousetsu seemed to have some affection towards the small plush and had refused to stay at home. The adolescent feline was white with brilliant purple eyes and cream-colored fur on his chest and stomach and inside his ears. Currently, he was washing behind his ears, seemingly oblivious to his surroundings.

((As I see it, plushies are...just plushies. xd They don't do much, but they probably take in information from the outside.
AND I'M FINALLY BACK ON MY GAME! Sorry it took so long. sweatdrop ))
A bright smile winds across the half-fox's face as she stands, scooping Minnie up before the little cinnamon bear and her hidden prize can fall and tucking them both under one arm. The other she raises in greeting, nodding vigorously upon mention of the playdate. "Yep, that's me. It's nice to meet you, Shiara...and Sebastian, too," she chuckles, reaching out to gently scratch the tiny plush between fuzzy ears.
"And I don't mind that you brought along a cat," Dani grins, waving away the insecurity. "I've always been fond of cats; it makes it all the stranger that I don't have one in my house at the moment, tell you the truth. Anyway, is there somewhere you'd like to go? Maybe get some lunch or a snack? I know a nice little place down the street, if you're interested..." she trails off, letting the suggestion hang in the air.Minnie, for her part, is far more curious about Sebastian the persian than she is in Shiara. Though she does bob her head in friendly greeting, her eyes are immediately drawn toward the yet inert plush. Grasping the marble between the thick pads of her paw and toes, she reaches out in an attempt to present her gift to the persian cat.
Unfortunately, her small size makes reaching across the wide gap between the two young women quite impossible. Oh, well. At least she tried.
