Oh My God, is this game really fun...yet annoying at the same time. I just started playing, and I died twice. xD I'm skilled. Ooh Ooh! The thing I hate is that 'use your weapon to much it dies' thing. Grr, it makes me mad. then at the same time, happy... 'Cause then you're not all like, "OMIGODLYKIMGUNNAWINWITHMYALMIGHTYSWORD" You have to use a different weapon, or else you lose a weapon forEVER. I love Dark Cloud...I'm stealing it from my brother...
Oh, just tell me what your veiws on the games are. I want to know your opinions, just so I have enough mind power and skill to complete the ever so awesome game of awesome-ness.

I played it a while ago, so I don't remember too much. I remember thinking that it was ok. Nothing particularly special. The puzzle of putting the village together so that everyone is happy was sort of fun. It was a good time waster.
I played the second, but it kept dying on the second level (saved games wouldn't load and it would crash when you enter the door to get to the next level).

That games awesome once you get used to it! xd heart
Tips: -Since your just starting , every dungeon or 2 , leave and go to the mayor of the village to get repair powder. -If you find Dran Feathers , use them , they make you run really fast -Use the ponds to recover health and wearyness -You'll get something called tran oil , or something along those lines...use that to enter the lil red question mark on your map, its a hidden dungeon, you only get tran oil from chests. -and on the last level, make sure you upgrade at least one of your weapons if you happen to find any...otherwise fighting _______ will be hard..

The game is really good but you know in the sequal the weapons don't vanish when they break...keep talking to the mayor in the first dungeon to restore supplies and you keep getting them again and again...
Darn feathers are useful but only in emergency really...
The hidden dungeons aren't worth it when you're just starting...the keys sell for a bit i think...
Take apart a weapon (I don't remember the process...) and add it on another for good effects...there is a knife down there that adds quench which will be REALLY helpful for the stronger weapons (You can buy the knife later though...I beat dark cloud 1 and 2...)
If you want spoilers or to know where some weapon effects are I know most of the locations (including critical stated in the manual)

Ah...that was a fun game. I played it like mad for about a week then got frustrated when I couldn't beat the first boss. I eventually did, and now I'm stuck on the Dark Genie...Ugh. I doubt I'll ever beat it, since my PS2 controller's broken. And my weekends are currently dedicated to Oblivion, so...
Ah. Have you gotten the 2nd character yet? If you haven't...I'm not going to spoil it and tell you who it is! Anyways...tips... Don't bother with always using the dagger the Fairy/Spirit King gave you. It's better to use the powerful weapons that *can* break. After you level them up 5 times, you can break them down in to Synth Spheres and attach them to even more powerful weapons you may have found. Or you can keep leveling them up so that they'll transform into new ones...
Anyway. Fun game. I haven't played the 2nd one though...
