Kittyintheraiyn Through thinking and listening, talking and the purr that was an almost constant rumble in his chest, Dark focused on change, he had tried to force the change when he was in the back of the kit's mind, when he'd first awoken in his bitterness and confusion, and the result was the same as his current state; he could speak in the voice he knew as his own, the red eyes of Daisuke gave way to his own color, dark purple, but that was all he got. A day ago, he felt he had won and again only the limited transformation, hours ago he had thought, maybe the magic existed differently here and he only need to wait for a time when the change would come on it's own, but now he was back at trying to force it, because he wanted it, not only to 'win' over the right to exist, but to exist for her. It was almost like a prayer or a mantra, the want to force it, and as he lay against Mina a happy bubble existed around them, he thought, it could happen soon, I want to be Dark!
"When I change, we will dance, the moon will come to us and a song from our hearts will set the beat." Dark said this with his heart and so it was neither a simple thought nor an audible statement, but still he was sure that Mina would 'hear' it.
"'Oh lovely Bird, you are a rare beauty to my eyes or a dream to be sure.'" Dark had taken up the story speaking for Fish. "'I wonder if your song is as lovely? Pray, sing me a melody.' The fish knew the bird's song was indeed a sound unlike any other, for he had heard it even in the depths of the water he was trapped in, and longed to hear it again." Kittyintheraiyn "I'm sorry, that was a rather dim way to - " Tria was cut short by the male beginning to hit his head again, she felt very strongly for mostly anyone, pain and self-loathing being something she knew for herself but never, or rarely shared with anyone, probably all her friends and kin knew her to be a cheerful and easygoing as they came, but that was only as she was now. Truthfully Tria had never had it as bad as some, but she did have many lonely months under her belt. She winced as the male began again to 'beating the charming hell' out of himself. Catching the words between -thunkings- she could only chew at her lip, thinking of a better way to help. "I'm not going to run away, just because you say I can. I may not be the brightest feli of the house, but my ears work just fine if you want to talk that is, I will listen. It can't hurt right?" Tria eyed the slight bit of blood that oozed from his wounded forehead "And I know a bit about first aid," she shook her head a little, "you are going to have one hell of a headache soon."

((SECRET! OMG!))
Still sitting partially away from her, the male turned his gaze to offer her a bitter glower; not truly directed AT her, but mostly, at her words, or perhaps at something else entirely... it was hard to tell, "Well, if you were smart, you'd run, much like the others did," this said, he turned to glance away, directing his glaring at the tree he'd quite charmingly mauled; fact was, it hadn't helped him, and Oswald made a soft mental note to hit himself on a pillow next time, as for one, it was less painful, and for two, it was less messy.
The second anotation was noticed as the blood slowly began to flow over his right eyes, obscuring his vision; turning it dark red, "Well, damn..." the words were half growled, half sighed as he took the time to sit sprawled on the grass, much like a human would, then took the effort to take away his eye glass piece and brush at his forehead. It was no good, however, and the wound kept on refusing to stop the blood's flow.
Soon enough, he'd made a complete mess of himself, frustrating him further, "I can deal with the headaches, it's something else I can't deal with, and god DAMN it!" after a final rub, which merely succeded in smearing the blood even further, the penguin rolled his eyes and allowed himself to collapse back, laying on the ground with his frown gaze directed at the tree branches.
He hated days like this; however, he had to compliment the girl... for she had not yet turned tail.

The smile seemed to widen as her friend followed along in the tale, and soon enough, Mina found herself drowned in the posibilities the story telling offered; not only was she in her element, but it seemed, in a way, so was Suki, "I shall sing, my handsome fish, if you can show me something of as much beauty as my tail," she spoke softly, as if imitating the vain bird's words, "If you manage to do so, not only shall I sing, but I shall sing for you alone, day and night, and the other animals shall know my song belongs to you.' now, the bird was vain enough to know the poor fish would never find a thing beautiful enough to compete with her own beauty, and thus, with that, she began to form a nest, secluded by the rocks of the river, where the fish could see here, a mere few centimeters away... and yet away from predators."
At this point, the young adult's gaze returned to the kit's and she couldn't help but place her paw over his, almost as if silently indicating something she could not otherwise.
A dance under the moonlight, where the stars shall sing.... find that what I look for, and I shall be yours.
She hadn't truly heard him, and knew he couldn't truly hear her, however, the base thoughts were there, easily read within her brown orbs as her tail flicked; despite having 'grown' overnight, she was still basicly the same spirit... the same soul. The outside didn't truly matter, for it was Mina's interior what she thought made her most beautiful... more than any other. As vain a thought as that was, it was perhaps quite true indeed.

"So then I'm not smart,"
A brow arched elegantly as the male turned his head to glance at her, his expression questioning, yet sardonically so, "Oh, really now..." the words were drawled out at her from his position, still laying down amongst the grass, back pressed into it... and blood smeared over his face.
The idea of him being dirty iddly made him wince; a motion that must've been out of place, at least within Tria's eyes, for it was performed out of the blue. However, it was fact that Oswald disliked being dirty, and so, the idea of slowly just standing up, brushing past the girl as if she'd never happened upon him... and padding over to the river was more and more alluring as seconds flew by.
However, something was stoping him.
"Look at it this way, my dear," a semi frown was direced towards the female as his eyes became hooded, though amusingly enough, the Penguin was not insulted... it was mostly because he thought she was playing his game, really, "If I inflict pain upon my forehead, I have little time to think about what's truly bothering me, being much too ocupied with the intense pain of my throbbing forehead, and thus, mission acomplished," the wors were almost mocking, a tingue to them, however, they were the truth; it was exactly the idea he'd had when he'd began to bash his head on the tree.
It was as soon as her paw came to touch his forehead that the male figured out just what was stopping him; it was curiosity. Sheer curiosity.
A pause as he diverted his head, allowing himself to sit up, and swiftly after, stand up, shaking his frame off from stray grass blades, "I'm fine, don't worry; it's just a wound... it'll be fine as soon as it's treated, I'm sure," his forehead, amusingly enough had been pressed against her paw all the time, almost a silent invitation, however, his features still remain emotionless, frowning slightly, his eye piece dangling, held on by a chain around his neck, an oddly amusing sight, no doubt.

"There was, however, an answer to the bird's riddle, and she knew this much, for after having formed her nest and settling herself inside it, she thrilled, 'Oh, but I do wish to sing for you, hence why I settled by the river bank... however, it's a riddle, and like any riddle, it needs some time to be solved, don't you think?'" the smile on Mina's face would've easily matched that of the bird; sly, cunning, almost as if there were second hidden thoughts behind such simple words, "And with that, the bird merely leaned over the edge of her nest, allowing her face to reflect upon the surface of the water, admiring her feathers there... and she smiled, for within such a simple action, she'd allowed the fish the answer to the riddle."
There came no further words of the story from the female's maw, but instead, she offered Dark a rare ture smile, and a nod, letting him know it was in fact, his turn to continue the 'magic', for you see, Mina thought that story telling was indeed a magical thing.
Something others could rarely do, for they lacked both the spirit and imagination necesary to do so.... and the young adult prided herself in having both said spirit and imagintion, for both were powerful, powerful things to behold.

It wasn't her smile what had convinced Oswald he'd found someone much too naive for her own good, but mostly, her words, and the fact her paw was still firmly placed over his brow. In a sense, it was oddly comforting, however, at the same time, it was quite strange, and the Penguin had to quite literally force himself to stay in place and not flinch away from the touch.
He'd longed for it, that much was clear, even as he squirmed slightly, however, the fact was, it burned. Too much too fast.
"Right," the word was drawled, not truly allowing much of his internal debate to show, "Well, it DID go away due to the fact I wasn't thinking about it, however, remembering it now, is obviously not helping to poke it away and out of my mind, now is it?" a brow arched, following his questing, his maw pulling back into a sardonic smirk, jagged teeth revealed, "Are you planning on walking all the way to the house... with your paw held over my brow?" the smirk seemed to widen as his golden eyes narrowed, even despite the dried blood that marred his features there, "A drunk would gladly debate that... however, seeing as how I don't drink, I'm quite appalled to say I have no idea."
It was clear he was amused by the girl's words, and merely finally pulled back from her touch, placing his own black paw firmly against the white fur around his wound, "Pretty much, yes, I found you're quite mad..." he turned around and walked towards the forest, instead of the house, directing himself towards the lake where he wished to wash his injury, however, he suddely turned to grace her with a sly smirk before she could answer his first words, "However, I have never said mad is a bad thing..." this said, he moved his head slowly, motioning towards the forest, as if willing her to come along and truly probe her madness further.

"Drunk off the pain not liquor, it was a metaphor or something." Tria said in her own defense as she followed after the male. What else could she do but follow? She wanted to go back to the house, to clean the blood from her own fur, to clean his head, she felt she needed soap and bandages, not something they would find deeper in, but still she followed.
At his last comment she couldn't help but laugh out. "Now I know I'm crazy, you state the same thing that I think to be true, and I follow you." As they walked Tria thought that they were heading to the river, she lifted her head and smelled water, heard the sound of rushing water soon after, that would work she mused, for riding themselves of the blood on their fun, but was it okay for washing the wound? He probably didn't want her to wash it for him anyway and would do it himself; she tried to remember if any good plants grew near here and then almost out of the blue asked him something she wanted to know since meeting, "So what is your name?"

"It was a metaphore, my dear," the words were hardly breathed, taking into she was near enough, however, it was no doubt she heard them. Oswald's eyes were fixed up ahead, one ear perked, swirling around, almost like a radar, while the other remain particulaly flattened, or rather, facing Tria as they walked, as if to silently voice he was in fact listening to everything she was saying, even if he wasn't looking at her.
After all, the forest could be tricky, he knew that much, and it paid to keep your attention upon it; thus so, the Penguin did, "Of course you're crazy, whom else would be seen padding alongside me as if I were a harmless kitten?" at this point, the male looked back at her, directing her a dark smirk, his teeth once again showing, however, perhaps there were no ill intentions performed within the action... perhaps it was just the way he smiled, always looking dark due to... the way he was. It was hard to tell, really.
It was soon enough that not only the river came in view, but also the lake that resided within the forest, "Ah, here we go..." moving till he was at the shore, the male shot her one last glance before swiftly diving into the water, head first, much as if he were a water feli, rather than a dark one; it was not common knowledge that this strange feli could in fact NOT fly... however, it WAS common knowledge that his swimming skills were up to par with those of almost any aquatic feli he'd seen. As soon as he came back out of the water, he took in a deep breath, slowly climbing up the shore till he sat on the grass, dripping wet, however, clean and free of blood, dirt and any grime; his pelt shinning black wence the sun hit him, "Oswald," he breathed as his gaze fixed upon her, a brow arching up, "Some call me Penguin," a pause, "For obvious reasons."

"See I knew what I was saying." Tria shook her head a little, like she was sure she knew she was right, even if she wasn't. She had a sort of skip to her step, as she followed the dark one. Yes the forest was not one to play idly in but she had a good sense of direction and knew where home was by 'feel'. "I dunno, but I bet I'm not the only one that enjoys your company. 'Sides, what have you ever done that would make me think you aren't as harmless?" Tria stopped walking when he's turned to smirk at her, those teeth didn't give her the shivers or anything. Really she had a thought in her head that, maybe they were fake - like the fangs she wore, but she wasn't entirely sure. "Kittens can be quite harmful what with their sharp claws and annoying antics." In Tria's mind; kittens = kits = bleh. She continued walking and talking together with penguin until they reached the waters edge and he'd dived in. Tria stayed out of the water, feeling that she could keep a better eye out than in, and she could easily clean her paws at the edge. While she rinsed her fur she watched him in the water, the way he swam reminded her of something, and it wasn't exactly like Almy or anything like that...
"I get it!" She grinned, almost teasingly, "I'll call you whatever you prefer though, sometimes people don't like nicknames placed upon them."

A chuckle escaped the male's maw, sounding almost harsh, hoarse, as if he were quite unused to laughing at all, something that would've no doubt, struck many as weird, for whom.Would you be surprised to know that not only don't others not turly enjoy my company but feel intimidated and edgy around me, not to mention scared?" a pause followed, during which the Penguin settled himself for sitting before her, though far enough to give her some space, then slowly, he raised a paw and began grooming himself, for the sun could only do so much to dry his pelt, and he wasn't sure he wished to stay wet all the time.
After all, dirt might cling to him whilst walking if he did so, and he truly didn't wish it to.
"I'm afraid I have more than sharp claws," he said softly as he opened his maw, much resembling a beak, and poked softly at his fangs before he smirked again and closed it, "At any rate, it's not the phisical atributes that people think make me dangerous, but something else alltogether." he bothered not to explain any further, but rather, continued his grooming, his tongue passing softly over his fur, and though he was still humid... at least after a while, he was no longer dripping wet. A pause followed, "Well, I don't really MIND so long as you don't call me Pengu," a shudder and a grimance, "Or Peck peck," his ears dropped at this point almost as if he were ashamed, a pout marring his features; Kala was used to calling him the later two, really, "Oswald is fine, so is Penguin, given... the fact I can't..." he looked up to the sky, almost glowering at it, but never finished his phrase.
