Random Races:
Random races are any races in which dice determine the winners instead of any "stat" calculations.
Each can set their own particular rules, how many dice, what number means you win, prizes, etc... but at this point in time NO ONE except Vahyla/Vees Girl is allowed to set entry fees for their races.
"Usual" Random Race: (set up by Vahyla/Vees Girl, others may differ)
1. A call for participants is put out. Anyone who owns a sigponi may enter, and any sigponis may enter, but a max of 2 per owner may enter each race.
1a. As entrants sign up they will choose whether or not they are "betting" on the race. You may choose to bet 100 gold on your sigponi winning. If your sigponi does win, you get 200 gold for 1st, 150 for second, and your 100 back for third. You get no gold if your sigponi does not win (this goes in a jackpot, discussed below).
2. Once betting is taken care of, each entrant rolls dice: 20, 6-sided dice.
3. The first Sigponi to reach 40 wins, the second to reach wins second, the third to reach wins third. If there are ties, the sigponi with the highest total before the last round wins. (eg: Sammy & Toto each reach 40 in round 8. Sammy had 38 in round 7; Toto had 36-- Sammy wins first, Toto wins second)
"High-Stakes" Race:
This is where the money in the "jackpot" goes. Whenever the pot reaches 5K, one of these races will take place.
The rules are the same as above, but it's 500 gold to enter the race. First place wins 5K, second wins 1K, and third gets their 500 back. The rest of the gold goes to a quest pool.
"Donation-Stakes" Race:
The quest pool gold continues on into this race. If you're looking for gold for a quest, this might be the place to try. Every time we reach 10K in quest pool gold, one of these races will take place.
The rules are almost the same, except you may only enter one Sigponi into this race, and I would prefer you were questing for something, but I can't exactly check up on that. wink
There is no entry fee, and two 5K prizes will go out.

Moderated Races:Moderated races are any races in which the winners are determined by a combination of "stat" calculations and dice instead of dice alone. Augments and Sigponis with lineart edits are (unfortunately) NOT allowed to participate in moderated races. Their features would affect stat structures and, well, I don't want to deal with it. sweatdrop At this point in time we have a basic stat system set up, there may be more advanced versions in the future. Reaction Time (RT): 1d4 -how quickly does the sigponi react to starting chimes? Stamina (Sta): 1d6 -can the sigponi keep up the pace? Willpower (WP): 1d4 -can a will to win pull the sigponi ahead at the last minute? Luck (Lu): 2d20 -if problems arise, will the sigponi be affected? These stats intertwine with whatever dice are rolled to begin the race. When your sigponi starts racing, they probably won't effect things much. As time goes on, however, your stats may increase. At race's end, I roll 1d20. There's a 1:4 chance the first place winner's stats will increase by 1. Random racing can also increase stats. First place wins are worth .5, second place wins are worth .2, and third place wins are worth .1, when you reach one point, you get a random stat increase. You must keep track of these for yourself and inform me if I need to update stats. Keep URLs of races so you have proof!Stats will not be inheritable. Role-play Races:
Role-play races are any races in which the winners are determined not by numbers, but by words.
There are no set ways to go about role-playing races, but there are some things to keep in mind.
1. These types of races usually work better with just two people. You are welcome to attempt more than that, but make sure everyone gets equal opportunities.
2. Don't force your opponent(s) to take certain moves. AKA: Don't "god-mod."
3. Races of this type may be as long or as short as you like. You may or may not choose to have a winner and a loser, I leave that up to those participating in the race.
4. I will generally stay out of role-play races, but if there are problems or I really like what's going on, I may step in. heart
Generally, role-played races will not effect stats, but they could. You never know (unless there're augments or edits involved, of course, since they aren't allowed stats).

Either I haven't gotten to rolling them yet, or your Poni is ineligible.
Augments and Sigponis who have lineart edits (excluding MANES) are ineligible to have racing stats. Yes, even if it's just cloven feet instead of hooves or little tiny scales around the eye or something like that. This includes cosplay Ponis. <_<
Why? Things like that would affect racing ability. At least, some of them would, and I don't want to be the person who goes "no... too many edits" or somesuch. Therefore, ALL of them are ineligible-- manes edits excluded, because they already have different mane types. whee

Wild Ponis will, indeed, be race-able. They have the same body structure as regular Sigponis (as I just edited the two existing poses to get the wild pose ninja ).
Unless there are lineart edits besides the mane, totally raceable. 3nodding

That means anyone can run a random race, but you can't set an entry fee. You just have to follow the regular rules for setting up a race. 1. Call for participants. 2. No more than 2 Sigponis per owner. 3. After you have your participants, everyone rolls dice. 4. Whoever is running the race adds things up until a winner is achieved.
