I DON'T GET IT. straight people don't have to think twice about who they like, but when gay/lesbian/bi people like someone it's gross!! being gay is just another aspect of your personality, so why does it have to be that big of a deal???

I think it has to be hard because it is shunned by society. All society cares about it pro-creation not love

You know I wonder that same thing, but there isn't alot we can do about it. Except try and make the community more accepting of us.

Beacuse we're not accepted by society as a whole. Oh sure, they can watch Queer Eye or Will and Grace, but God forbid someone they actually know be *gasp* not straight!
Don't worry about it, I dream that someday we'll be accepted and it won't be a big deal, and people can just say to us "I'm sorry, I'm straight" or something and that'll be it. No awkwardness, no disgusted looks...
Trust me, I've got my share of the disgusted looks... It's depressing. I currently like a homphobe. (Dude, that just sounded stupid. Why do I like a homophobe? Stupid me.)

It is hard, but I believe that the world is coming around to it. Slowly yes, but the attitude and culture of people has made a great change over the years. homosexuals have been around just as long as straight people. Soon enough, people will see their own unjust ways. I'm not saying they have to like homosexuals or bisexuals, just respect them and keep their discrminating opinions to themselves and out of their judgement of others.

i know... being bi is so much easier than being straight in a lot of ways... 'cos i dont have to worry about whether i like a girl or a guy... but really hard in soooooooooooooo many other ways, when i told my friends i was bi, and kissed a girl on camp, they totally flipped... and wont have me over to their houses, and wont sit with in like half a foot of me.... it sucks... they are way to straight for their own good, i dread teling my catholic family... they'll probably burn me at the stake...

Personally I never found anything to be truly hard about being Bi. Those that I told never really bothered to care too much. People don't mind as much as they used to. The world is basically becoming better for people to be diverse and not be afraid to tell others who and what they are. I dunno, thats my take on the whole thing.

It's hard because people are so unacceptable to people who are not like them. Making live a b***h for un-straights because, obviously, we are not like straights.

Think of it this way, if it was easy then everybody would be doing it. But, it's not, so people take the easy way out. We should rejoice in our difficulties.

You just have to "roll with the punches", It could get better, it could get worse, better I hope. It's who you are so they is really nothing you nor anyone can do to change it. Love yourself! xD

Well in the Dark Ages women was accused of being witches and was burned and black people have been through a lot too. I think homosexuals will turn out the same way. We'll be accepted someday. Sure there'll always be someone who hate us but some people hate black people too. It's a matter of how civilized you are.
