The young, stumbling cub had now grown over the past few days into a determined child. The way Chinara carried herself through the tall grass, she almost acted as if she'd owned the place!
And yet, she felt lonely. Ezeoha constantly flirted with her, even if she was too dense to realize it. But she slowly caught on to his antics, and got a bit bored of him. After all, he -was- a cub, unlike her.
Wandering for a few more minutes, China sat down on her haunches, looking at the ground a bit sadly. She admittedly missed Zuri. She hadn't seen him since that fateful day by the large tree and the watering hole. Where had he gone? Was he dead? Did he see his family at all?
Speaking of family, she should have told her family about her joining! Perhaps she would travel back home when she was older. At the moment, she was still vulnerable to predators, but thanks to growing and learning a trick or two about hunting, she didn't worry so much about that.

The young boy dragged his paws one after the other, causing dirt to fly around in tiny storms over the ground. It was certainly becoming a rather dull day. He had not seen a girl -- er, lion -- in a long while!
Zuri'bluu paused for a moment. The scents mingling around him were all new, not a one had he sensed before, besides those of Africa and the savanna, and the scattered green. He brushed aside a clump of dirt as to reveal what was undernearth: a budding plant. At this, his mind flew to a time far back, a time with a massive tree, newly-sprouting plants, a convenient pool of water, and a girl named China.
It was hard for him to focus on both the new area and the girl at the same time; both were vying for his full attention. Bluu did not know where he had stumbled into, and knew very well that if some lions happened to live in this unknown territory (and lion scents he did smell), then it could possibly be a dangerous one for him to travel in. And yet, once he thought about China, he was eager to find her again. He would have to search every place with plants to find her.
And who knows, maybe he would.

China sat there for a moment or two, before hearing the rustling of grass. Who was it? Were they friendly? WHAT IF IT WAS A HYENA?! 'W-w-who's th-thewe?" she called timidly, reverting back to her infantile dialect. She curled up tightly into a ball, preparing for a large elephant to come charging out and stomping her flat!
Wait. Big kid lions did NOT act that way. Slowly but surely, she stood up, still a bit hunched over with fear. She tried to look tough, but her face showed increasing fright.

His concentration soon grew to the new scents. Perhaps it was part of his recent growth? Nevertheless, he needed to find out where he was and whether it was safe to travel here or not. The only thing that would break his determination, was, well, of course, a girl.
And sure enough, when he turned his head rightwards to peer out into the horizon, his nose flickered for a moment. It twitched, for it had finally smelt something familiar in this new world.
"Ch-China..?" The words unintentionally escape his mouth, but the answer, if there was going to be one, would either make him rather excited, or rather downhearted.

The cub blinked a few times, hearing a familiar voice. Could it be?! Only one way to find out. Slowly, China stepped towards the grass, before flinging herself at whoever it was.
And before you could say 'hakuna matata', she was on top of Zuri, wide-eyed and surprised. And whaddya know, their noses were touching! >3 "ZURI?!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, before tumbling off him. Could it be her dearest friend?! The one she hadn't seen in ages?

All of a sudden, the wind was stolen from his chest as the surprised male fell backwards into the ground. As soon as he heard the voice, the previously unknown force that had knocked into him then gained an identity. By the time he had realized what was going on, his nose was gently touching China's, in an accidental but cute sort of way.
A light blush ran through his cheeks, for he was unsure what this gesture meant, but nevertheless, the blue youngster exclaimed, "China! China, it's you!" He let out a hearty laugh of both excitement and relief, and added with a playful blink of his eye, "..Look's like you've grown. Grown bigger.... and prettier!"

Chinara stood up slowly, eyeing Zuri as she shook her body to get rid of the bits of dirt that clung to her fur. "S'great to see you, Zuri!" she exclaimed, trotting over to him.
His little comment about her being prettier caused her cheeks to feel a bit hot. "E-er, you too.. and um.. you've gotten prettier, too?" she said, a bit confusedly. "A-anywho, how have you been?" She couldn't help but grin widely. She finally got to see Zuri'bluu again!

A laugh escaped his mouth as the little lion got up, subsequently plopping his bum down, positioning his front paws on the ground, and looking up at China. "Heheh, thanks... I guess. And s'nice to see you, too!"
He blew a little strand of hair that was dangling over his face to the side, then continued, "I've been good. Explorin' around and stuff. How 'bout you?"
Whether it was just his love of females or not, Bluu couldn't stop staring at China. She sure had become prettier during her absence! It was rather difficult to hide his oogling eyes, both concentrated on the juvenille across from him. In self-concious yet unsure attempts to break his gaze, Bluu asked, "Uhh.. so uh, d'ya know where we are right now?"
...Sorta makes you fear what would happen when the furry blue creature met even more girls!

China laughed as well, before perking up at his question. "Oh, nothing, nothing.. y-y'know, travelling, taking care of the plants, joining the Pridelanders.."
She said this quietly, as if she was embarassed about joining a pride. "E-erm... in the Pridelands..?" She gave a sheepish grin, pretending she didn't know. The juve couldn't help but tilt her head at his staring. "S-somethin' on my face?" she asked, putting a paw on her cheek.

"Oh! No no no, not at all!" He lifted his paw to brush China's off her face. Grinning, he mentioned in a whisper, "...just couldn't take my eyes off you.."
Immediately sitting up, regressing from the subject, Bluu begun on the topic of the Pridelands. "Hmm, I've heard about them a bit. Not really about the members, but more of the general existence. So I guess you're part of them now?" His eyes were lighting up as he spoke, probably because of his excitement to see China again after so long. With a grin, he finished, "So, uh, d'ya think it's a good idea for me to be hangin' about here?"

The juve's ears flickered as she strained to hear what he whispered, before sitting upright once more. "Yup! Once my family comes home, I'm gonna tell them. My mom always wanted my brother and I to join 'em.." she said proudly, puffing out her chest.
She exhaled, however, hearing him ask his second question. "I guess so.. they're not like that Fire-whatever pride.. they tolerate rogues, like you and me! 'Sides, it's not like you're gonna be caught by anyone-"
Chinara suddenly leapt at him, tackling the cub down and grinning mischievously. "Except for me." she laughed, her tail wagging with excitement.

The poor, unsuspecting juvenille was listening patiently, taking in all the new facts he was learning, when he was suddenly knocked down -- again!
As his back hit the ground, causing yet more dust to fly into a massive flurry, Bluu was forced to sneeze due to a few escaped particles catching in his nose. The sun glimmered into his deep eyes now directed towards the sky, and he replied jokingly, a cough coming right beforehand, "Oh, I certainly couldn't risk being caught by you, could I?"
His retaliation was composed of one, hearty chortle, and a paw aimed at his opponent's damp nose. He targeted it like a sniper targets its prey, and closed in over the course of one, swift swipe.
Bluu then tried to squirm his way out of the entanglement by rolling away against the ground. During the process, he called out, "So, ya havin' fun here, in the Pridelands?"

Chinara grinned down at Zuri triumphantly, before getting a paw shoved at her nose. The juvenile couldn't help but giggle at the ticklish feeling of his paw pads, and batted against him.
As the blue lion rolled over, she flopped onto the ground, before sitting up. "You bet! Everything's perfect here. Except for this cub named Ezeoha. He just won't leave me alone," she said, half annoyed and half jokingly. "He calls me 'beautiful' and 'cute'. Well, he calls all the girls that, anyways."

Bluu was peering at China intently and with a transfixed grin when she spoke of this "Ezeoha." His laughs were interupted when she said her opinions of him and his actions.
He became slightly puzzled but also slightly worried about... himself. "Do girls not like being called 'beautiful' and 'cute?' " he inquired. Who better to ask than a girl herself?
Bluu's head dropped slightly as his mind crossed over into subjects he normally didn't think about. It didn't trouble him that much, but this "Ezeoha" reminded him quite of himself, and China seemed like she was somewhat miffed by the cub, at least by a little.
"Maybe..." he offered. "Maybe this guy just likes girls a lot? Like... me...?" The last part was added in a short whisper; Bluu was unsure whether this was the best choice of wording or not, but just in case, he said it with a smile, hoping that an optimistic facial expression might offset an awkward sentence.

Chinara's ears perked up, and a feeling of uncomfort slowly washed over her as she replied, "N-no, it's not that! It just.. sounds weird coming from s-somebody.. that you've only known for a while..." Quickly adding, "B-but not that it's not nice! It is!"
She gave a little sigh of relief, before chuckling to herself. "He sure does. He goes around following this cub named Mosi, who's like his soulmate. She loves getting into trouble, or so I've seen." She shrugged a bit, grinning jokingly. "Not that you'd do that stuff, right?"
