"Rah rah, sisk coom bahh!!" Soho shouted loudly as she bounced up and down on the back patio. Silva, Aleric, and the boys were having a knock down, bloody football game. They had gone through half a branch of grapes already. Ice had had to go buy an entire new bag just for this game.
Silva slammed his shoulder into Aleric's gut, shoving him away as he raced for the goal. Nick tackled him at the knees, trying to drag him down as he kept going, but the tall feien shook him off, slamming the grape down and shouting like a kid. "TOUCHDOWN!"
"Out of bounds!!" Nick bellowed back.
"Like HELL!" Silva growled, turning on the wolf boy.
"You passed the stick! It was out of bounds!"

With an eerie sort of silence, Galatea landed just behind Soho's shoulder and frowned at the combatants. It was hard to tell but she reckoned they were playing a sport. Was it rugby or football? She could not begin to guess which. Half-shrugging to herself, she reached out and gently touched Soho's shoulder. She really hoped the other juvenile didn't mind her being so free with physical contact.

Soho jumped and turned with a gigantic grin that got even wider at the sight of the other female. "GALA!" She shouted. "We're playing football! Do you wanna be a cheerleader with me?" She held up her red and black cotton puffs, shaking them. "I dipped these in paint." She said with a nod. "We can make you a set, too!"
"That was NOT OUT!" Nack shouted, backing up his teammate. "You're just blind!"
"Like hell!" Nick shouted back. This was the best part of the game, they all agreed, save for Aleric.
"We'll take the ball." Aleric said calmly, grabbing the grape and heading back to the center of their "Field." He paused to wave over to the two juveniles. "Hello Galatea! Thank you for the necklace!"

"You're welcome, Mr. Aleric." Amazingly, the blood feien's voice carried clearly; it was probably the loudest any of them had ever heard her speak before. Then she turned back to study the pom poms. "A cheerleader?" she asked. "I don't know what that is or if I'm suited for it." Her eyes flickered back to the field where the players were again situating themselves for another go. "What are they playing? It looks... Fun," she hazarded a guess. If nothing else, the idea of running and dodging was intriguing.

"It's football." Silva said. "They have goals there and there, and one team has to get it to the goal before the other team can stop them." She said.
"You wanna play, darlin?" Silva called. "You can be on my team." Since his team suffered less damage.

At his offer, it was as if a lightbulb had gone off inside Galatea; she smiled brightly, a free and warm and glowing expression. Doubly pretty in that it was seen about as often as a blue moon. "I would very much like that, sir," she said and her fingers laced together in front of her in a familiar position of eagerness. "It would be an honor."
She glanced at Soho. "Do you mind, Soho?" she asked. "Would you mind cheering for me, too?"

"Okay!" Soho said, waving her puffs over her head. "Gala Gala Gogogo!" She cheered.
"Wait till the game actually starts, Darlin." Silva called to her, trying not to laugh.
"Oh, right!" Soho said.
"Over here, Gala." Nick called, waving her over. "You crouch here in front of Nack and try to keep him from passing you. We're keeping them from going that way." He said, pointing behind him.

Galatea nodded solemnly. "I will." Carefully, she stretched her arms above her head and then, blushing a bit at doing so in front of someone other than the Captain, lunged from side to side in order to loosen her legs for running. Then she straightened again and took her position in a graceful crouch opposite Nack. She smiled faintly at him, shy and apologetic. "Okay, Mr. Nick."

"24! 36! Hut! Hut! HUT!" Nack shouted as Aleric started moving. The ancient was fast, and he moved smoothly, well trained from a year of being Silva's training partner. Nack threw the ball to the ancient, then headed straight for Silva, ready to tackle him.

With a soft gasp, Galatea pivoted on her outside foot and darted forward towards Nick. Mimicking what she had seen Silva do earlier, she pulled her arms in against her body and doubled her speed. As her shoulder connected fully with the more solid boy, she spared a moment to thank her hours spent apeing the Captain's exercises and practicing with weights.

Nick grunted and went backwards. Just as Silva tackled Aleric to the ground about a foot away from the goal.
"Still our ball!" Aleric called as he stood. "Well... the new one will be, at least." The grape was smeared over his body. He grinned sheepishly at the sight of Silva wiping his face off.
Silva licked his hand then headed for the porch to pick up a bottle cap of water and pour it over his head.

Anxiously, Galatea hovered over Nick. "Oh, dear," she murmured. "Are you alright, Mr. Nick?" Flushed, she held out a hand to offer assistance.

He took the hand, then bounced to his feet, not bothered in the least by the hit. "You're pretty good!" He said cheerfully. "But you're not fast enough for it to hurt too bad." He added with a crooked smile.
"Good job, darlin!" Silva called as he handed the second bottle cap over to Aleric. The other male washed off and flapped his wings to dry off.
"An excellent tackle." Aleric said as well, jogging out to where he had been tackled after he grabbed another grape.

Galatea's cheeks glowed pink in embarrassed pleasure. Even if they didn't mean it, it was nice to hear such kind things about her. Though she rather thought they -did- mean them. There was no reason for them to lie to her. She rewarded them with a tiny, lop-sided smile and laced her fingers together again, this time behind her back. She rocked up onto the balls of her feet. "Thank you very much," she whispered. Then she abruptly loosened her hands again and trotted back into position on the field, looking to Silva to give her orders.
Meanwhile, another young feien had arrived, perching just out of sight. He narrowed purple eyes, recognizing his target. There. That was the guy who had manhandled Bavaria. Just as big and strong as he remembered. Sure that the older feien was occupied, Brunswick took a moment to study the others - two boys who were definitely -not- feien, another adult male, and two little juvenile females. Cute juvenile females. He grinned to himself. At least that old guy's ugly didn't rub off on his company.
Pushing away from his perch, Brunswick fluttered down to stand beside Soho and graced her with a smile that was suspiciously like one from a romance novel - rogue and rake all the way. "Hello, pretty lady," he beamed. "Please tell me you're not with tall, grey, and gruesome over there."

Soho blinked. "Grey?" She repeated blankly. "You mean Mister Silva Demon? He's my bonddaddy!" And he was CUTE! Erm, not Silva, but-- "My name's Ruby Soho! What's yours?"
Silva groaned, waving a hand in the air. "Time out, boys! Darlin!" He shouted, sauntering towards the boy dumb enough to move in on his little girl with a possessive look crossing his face.
