It had been unsettling, to say the least, the way that alien senshi seemed to accept death - to want it. They hadn’t cared, almost as if being here on Earth weren’t something to treasure or enjoy, like they were taking a second chance for granted. It was, now that he thought about it, insulting even. But more than anything it was unsettling and he was certain their mental, and emotional, state could be taken advantage of in some manner. Maybe a deal could even be struck but he wasn’t the one who could broker a deal; could offer something. He knew someone who could though.
That was why he’d decided to reach out to his General and make sure they were free to talk, because they needed to talk, and so he was approaching the front door slowly. His hands were in the pockets of his coat, it was cold out, while he went over the odd conversation in his head. He’d been trying to get something out of the other…and had failed. They were just not normal, at least not for a human he supposed, and that bothered him in so many ways.
He’d even spoken to his spouse about what had taken place, because it had bothered and annoyed him so very much, so at least he wasn’t as worked up about it as he had been when the conversation with the alien senshi had taken place. It was a good thing, as he was certain it wouldn’t be good to go into things with Aloysius all worked up, he needed to be concise and make sense.

With the heads up, Aloysius let Liam know he had to step out toward the smaller home nearer to the city’s center. It wouldn’t take long, he assured them and made his way over there with Desiree covering his teleport and signature.
It only took a few moments to make his way through the home and into the kitchen to start the tea kettle to sell that little lie that he did in fact live there still to people. Sure just a few of his team knew about the manor, but he liked to keep things buttoned up while Agatha was there.
Taking a moment to look out through one of the side glass panels that surrounded the door, he opened it as Akito approached. The quick gust of cold air started him coughing but he ushered them inside as he worked himself through the short fit.
“I have water boiling for tea or cocoa, I believe I may have some coffee left over as well but it rarely comes up here.”
Locking the door, he walked back toward the kitchen to pull down mugs as well as the sugar bowl and a spoon for each of them. Regardless of what they preferred, they’d need a spoon for stirring.
“Has something come up? I know you tend to submit reports to me so this must be something different; or at least sensitive enough not to submit through the normal methods.” That he could understand, the space allowed within the cracks of the bureaucratic red tape that held things together in the Negaverse when Laurelite wasn’t present in the city.

Bundled up to keep warm, how on earth it had gotten this cold was beyond him, the temperature seemed inhumane in his opinion. The warmth of the indoors, of the town house, was welcome as Akito stepped inside and instantly unwrapped the scarf he wore. “Thank you for agreeing to meet with me.” Though should he really be surprised? The other was his commanding officer - his General. They were doing their job, something which he assumed every General did.
“Tea is fine, you didn’t even need to put water on for me but I appreciate it. The cold weather has been a nightmare.” It was too cold and he was just glad the tiny apartment he and his spouse lived in had heating, and was well insulted, he could only figure the landlord didn’t want tenants dying to the cold - it would look bad and cost him money. At least that was what he joked about with his partner, which they scolded him for each time.
“I ran into one of those alien senshi…nothing bad, I promise.” Already moving, quickly, to assure the other nothing bad had happened. No fighting, no bloodshed, nothing of the sort. “They were very interesting, aside from not wanting to fight, I got the feeling they have a death wish - an honest want to die. I can honestly say I’ve never had an odder,, harder to deal with, conversation in my life.” And he’d fled a country after talking to his parents, confessing to dating a male, so this really was saying a lot. “It shook me a bit to be honest.” And he was wondering if there would be some way to turn things beneficial for the Negaverse. Trailing after the other, into the kitchen, once his snow boots were off his feet.

Watching as the other came in and dusted off the snow, he was glad he’d decided to get her through teleporting instead of dealing with all of that. The cold always gave him trouble; most knew, but only Liam, Desiree, and Lorcan knew the full extent of how bad it could get.
“As long as I am free from other obligations, I have no qualms with a meeting with any of those on my team. The weather, as well as the end of the semester for winter break, has given me a bit more downtime for things like this anyway.” Gesturing vaguely to the snow outside as he spoke, he turned back to get tea down, and now that they’d mentioned that was what they’d prefer, he had a few ideas of which blends would be best.
Glancing back over his shoulder at them at the mention of an alien senshi, he felt his curiosity stir. “I see… That is a different view than most. I wonder what kind of world made such a person like that.” It wasn’t usually the way of the universe to want to die; even at his lowest, there had always been that hesitation just before he was too far gone.
“So what exactly did they say, if you happen to remember? I am sorry something like that shook you. Have you spoken to your husband about this?” Knowing it best to lean on a partner for support after something jarring, he turned his attention back to the tea kettle as it began to whistle.
Setting a teabag in each mug, he poured hot water in each before bringing them both to the table alongside the spoons, sugar, and honey. “If you need cream or anything else, I can get it for you. It does need three minutes to steep before you pull the bag out and set it on this plate.” Gesturing to the small dish set between the bowl of sugar cubes and the glass jar of honey, he flipped over a small hourglass set with three timers in it. Tapping the center one to let them know which was the one to watch, he sat down at the table and focused on the conversation more now.

“I did and he was a surprised as I was, and still am. It’s not normal human nature, and alien as they are I assume that shouldn’t be their nature either. Things seek to continue o, to grow and multiply, to want to die goes against the very nature of everything on this planet and likely everything in space. It serves no purpose to want to die.” Which is why he was certain it took a lot to get to the point of wanting to die, to welcoming it,
“They said they'd been laid to rest on their planet, to help a failing harvest, and then woke up here.” Sure there had been blood sacrifices, of various kinds, in the history of this planet but when it involved people he doubted they wanted to die or tried to die. Animals were even led to slaughter - they were smart enough to not want to go somewhere that stunk of blood and death. No human would go of their own free will, saving a harvest or not. “He also mentioned meeting another agent, one who told him not to cause problems on earth and he doesn’t plan to - I believe him. Considering he wants to die I don’t see him as causing an issue here…he’s approachable and worried he might be a problem.”
Even thinking about it now was bothersome, to waste a life and to spend your life growing up with a plan to die the whole time, it was morbid and depressing. “He wants to go back to his world and complete what failed, if it’ll help his planet of course. He accepts it like it’s a good thing, with a smile, and just wants to walk himself right to the slaughter…nothing missed and nothing else thought of.” None of it made sense, and it had obviously bothered and frustrated him to no end. It bothered him now even, obviously, as he leaned back in his seat to try and calm himself before he continued.
“He thinks it’ll help somehow..and every senshi, of his planet, has done the same - sacrifice themself. Nothing but a bunch of self sacrificing idiots - all of them. The good thing is that he doesn't want to cause problems or fight, he’s friendly and mostly approachable. It’d be a life wasted, power wasted, and for nothing. His death, his sacrifice, won’t do a thing and I said as much. He thinks I’m the negative one. I think he needs to be saved, to forget his home planet, and learn to live for once as it seems he’s never done so. He lived to die…” And that was not living at all. But he couldn’t help them…couldn’t do anything. But someone needed to.
“He might be order…but he actually needs saving - from himself.” A sigh from him. “I just don’t know how. He frustrated me too much to try and do anything, talking sense fails, so I am hoping you’ll have a similar opinion and want to help.”

Listening intently, a picture started to form in his mind of what this alien may have been around wherever they had come from. As more details came, he tapped his fingers on the table to a melody as he shook his head.
“With as vast as the universe is, I never imagined something so barbaric still existing. How sheltered he must have been to not only go through with it but to willingly want to continue it after everyone else was gone.” It was crazy in a way but he didn’t exactly see it as the individual being crazy, merely the system and society in which they’d grown up in.
“So he seems to be docile? That is some good new among the less… pleasant information about this senshi. Did they give you a name at all? Or perhaps how long they may have been here? I have come across a few other alien senshi such as that one, but not so similar in viewpoint. Something seems to be wrong with them at a core level, perhaps due to how long they have seemed to cling to existence.” It certainly had been the case with Portia, before she’d become Dualite.
That such instance still left a sour taste as the fact that what could have been a near infinite amount of information and knowledge was cast into the abyss when she had joined the Negaverse. Though the outcome of her being on his team hadn’t been an issue per say, he still caught himself thinking in what ifs in regards to what was lost.
“If he seems to be friendly enough, perhaps we can coax information out of him about other alien senshi, maybe even names or frequent meet up locations. If he is a non combatant, there assuredly will be at least some good speaking with him after trudging through that idealism of his.”

“I don’t remember if I got a name, I was a bit preoccupied.” With the rest, the moe dramatic, information which made him wonder if there wasn’t a way to save this senshi and bubble wrap them perhaps. “He is docile though, easy to make friends I think. I did mention you, that if he was so keen on dying you’d go with him and finish the job.” He’d been aiming to shock him, somehow, but it had failed sadly. “I can’t imagine such a society where the value for human life is so lacking that his own self value is not even there - not if he thinks it’ll serve a purpose.”
Sighing Akito nodded his head slowly. “We could try that but I’m wondering if we can’t turn him as well. Much as we may not like order, and we might be fighting against them, I still dislike the idea of one seeking death so easily. Something about that makes me want to rail against it and bring him over.” Because it was just in human nature to not seek death, aside from the select few. “Should we try and bring him over? Give him the life he likely never had?”
Akito had fought for the life he had, running from his family and country, in order to live the life he wanted with the man he wanted; who was now his husband. The other needed to find a lif for himself, and only themself, even if it included serving chaos…it was still a life that they would have and it would be theirs.

While his face didn’t show it, he disapproved of not catching a name when the senshi hadn’t actually been fighting. No matter what had been said he felt it was a priority to be able to identify them for a report. But he said nothing on it as they continued, even as they brought up that they’d mentioned him.
“Things like that have happened here on Earth, it just takes very specific factors of course. Now as for bringing him over, that can be a delicate situation when involving those aliens. They really are wholly unknown so who is to say it can be done without turning them into a youma? I have yet to hear or see one of them approach either us or the mirror court.” Keeping his own alien on the need to know basis which didn’t include many people, he was already displeased by Ako knowing that she corrupted.
“As for disliking order, I agree that they are in the wrong but, sometimes I find their off world information useful such as it was during that storm. If more of them came to our side then of course that would be ideal but not everyone would be a good fit either.” That he knew from reading reports alongside all the years he had spent as a General.
“I will see about meeting with him, if I can find him. Do you have a description at least of him for me if possible? And where abouts you saw him last if you remember?” It might not be easy, like finding a needle in a haystack, but he thought it might be an interesting passtime. “If he really is so far gone though, it might be best to let nature take its course. I will see what I can do on my end, or if you see him again first reach out and I can find my way to you to intercept. At minimum, we can hopefully find out something useful among his warped views.”
As he looked down toward the timer, the last few grains of sand fell to the bottom and he pulled his teabag out and added in the two cubes of sugar. Stirring it slowly, he picked up the mug and took a sip. It really was a good blend for the cold weather, warming him from within as he drank. “The tea is ready, we can take a break and enjoy it before getting back to business.”

“No, some wouldn’t fit. I’ve heard their side is disorganized…I imagine those who can’t handle such organization wouldn’t fare well on our side.” Since they held ranks and they took orders from those above them, something he doubted the other side did, no the other was right in that some of them would not do well changing sides. But the more who did change, who could make it work on this side, the better.
“Mmm, off world information. It would be good if we could get that information ourselves somehow. Not saying I don’t trust them but rather it would be better if we could look for it ourselves, do our own searches, rather than rely on someone else to do it for us.” Plus the idea of space was fascinating, in the same way he figured it was for most people. “Oh, yeah! He looks like he’s part deer maybe…a mix of deer and nature. He says he keeps to the forests, which we know can be dangerous in this city, so as to keep out of things I think. I think it’s part of the whole behaving and not causing problems bit." Which was good, that he was trying to keep out of trouble and remain peaceful while here, but the woods weren't always safe in this city. Hell, no part of this city was entirely safe, he still figured it was some forum of fate that picked for him and his spouse that they came here and didn’t wind up moving somewhere else.
“Sounds good.” And he would, and did, enjoy the tea before he saws himself out. Knowing the other would do what he could, that maybe this senshi would live, was good enough for him. At least his General would try and help them, somehow, he’d let his spouse know when he got home.
