Cherish was still unsure about this Valentine's Day event. Admittedly it was a couple of days late, but still, Cherish wasn't so sure about this wqhole thing.

Lex picked her up in a rather dark but elegant waistcoast, cummerbund, neckerchief, silk shirt... Well. Regal outfgit, in all, with a silver-painted bone mask he'd made himself. and Cherish worried the gown she'd barely managed to make might be too off-theme. She'd been told 'Eldrich' and she recalled some vague HP lovecraft nonsense, thus making a ball gown with layers of false tentacles, similar to what her senshi skirt resembled, but in darke3r colors, layers of black, violet, and tyrian. It was low cut, strapless, baring her neck and shoulders, even if she lacked a bust to note. Shje wore long silken gloves and black high heeelsm and had managed some makeup art of dark tentacles across her cheeck. So opening the door to a masked, royal companion made her stop.

"Oh, Lex, am I-" Cherish began. He reached, caressing her unpainted cheek, echaling.

"No. You're perfect. Wonderful. Perfect." Lewx breathed. "The entire gala will have it's eyes on you tonight my sweet one." Lex murmured. Cherish blushed.

"I feel rediculous, I went Lovecradtian." She admitted. Lexs laughed, caressing her.

"Oh, that's fine. Others will have too. dear Lovecraft was disgustingly wretched in his views and delightfully horrifying if his writing wasn't so entrenched in his disgusting beliefs. Cosmic terror fits." Lex took her arm, allowing her to lock her door behind then before they walked for the complex exit, Cherish blinking.

"So wjat lkomd pf ga;la os tjos?" Chjeriosh asked as they walked. Lex hummed, blinking languidly.

"Gothic Valentines. It's late so it isn't too much for more... Sensitive souls." Lex purred, and paused. "...Autistic and porocessing issue sorts. The city is dreadful to them this time of year. Absolutely dreadful." Lex waved lazily. Cherish was impressed, however.

"I like that actually." Cherish admitted. "I thought it was something weird." Cherish sighed. Lex squeezed her arm with surprising tenderness.

"Gothic doesn't endoirse pain or suffering. We celkebrate the darker things in life worth celebrating. Death, a good ominous fantasy, the romance of a soul retuirning to love a living one. Death amd darlmess cam be beautiful, it does not mean we want to see others killed or suffer wantonly." Lex fidgeted shyly. "It's why my parents are in jail for neglecting my brothers and I took custody. It was cruiel and wicked but not to be celebrated. I simply testified true to save my brothers." And visibly Lex was admitting it because he'd talked to Limosa. Cherish knew he did it but feigned surprise.

"That's not wicked." Cherish admitted.

"I enjoyed seeing those bastards pay love. I relished in every scream, every cry, every threat. I grinned as they were taken away. I relished their rage." Lex flinched. Cheriush grabnbed his shouldewrs, looking him in the eye.

"Lex. You saved them from neglect. And you relished it knowing you saved them from bad people. Even if you were loved.... You did right." Cherish leaned in, growling and kissing him assertively. Lex startled, then clung. It was a rare moment of vuilnerability and she held him close. Cherish was quiet, letting Lrex process the new idea she'd planted in her mind as she once more thought of her father's fight with her step mother. She oprayed Lex was never pulled into the war. He'd be... Far too efficient, maybe, but... Would he sleep, with his brothers in danger? Rest, knowing they might be targets?....

No, if he awakened order, he'd have Limosa. And she'd make sure he had La Brea. And anyone else she could trust to watch his siblings. Like she helped with hers. Cherish nuzzled into his neck, inhaling deeply. Lex was creepy, intimidating, dangerously clever... And Cherish loved him because he loved his brothers. He was a sodding b*****d to anyoine he hated, but he was sweet and caring in his way. Her little carved bone gifts proved it.

"You see, this is why you mean the world to me." Cherish admitted. Her voice greeew soft. "You care. In ytour way. You're efficient. You want what's good for your brothers and you treat me well and you are amazing with my brothers." A pause. "Eos wants spikes now though."

"Good. He'd suit spikes." Lex checkled weakly. "Even if I follow gods nmop other man might?" Lex murmured. "And consider a pantheon of all, over one?"

"Yes." Cherish smilked, kissing his cheek. Lex smiled softly, and clung to her hand, as they walked for the gala hand in hand.
