Ash had spent a lot of time on this planet observing, taking notes, reading every book he could get his hands on. The fact they had public libraries which allowed anyone, with a small little card, to read everything they wanted was a novelty for the blond. He’d gotten himself a library card and had been devouring the books found within the confines to the building, there was so much to be learned. It wasn’t just books though, if only it were books, but documentaries played at home for him to watch whenever he had free time. There were, sadly in his opinion, only so much time in a day and he did need to sleep. But he’d been busy consuming every bit of knowledge he could.

He knew he still had a home world to save, he knew he was supposed to take people to his planet or bring a soil sample down so it could be looked at. The plague which had whipped out his people might still be an issue, and he simply wouldn’t be harmed when visiting, but he’d unintentionally pushed that all to the back burner…as humans would say. He’d been so preoccupied in everything else - there was so much to learn.

That being said he was also still trying to find a particular senshi…one who dealt with knowledge as well, she knew a lot of that he was certain, but he’d not run into her again. That didn’t mean he was giving up, he tended to get a bit obsessive over the idea of knowledge he wanted to obtain, because as much as he knew what had brought about his peoples end…as much as he knew it was a problem he’d need to remove from his planets future - it still had a grip on him.

It was what had led him, as a civilian towards the house, his hands stuffed into his pockets as he walked towards the Victorian style home. It really was nice, and the new paint did it well. All the snow on the ground, mountains of it, might be an issue for others but not for him. The cold of winter, this storm in particular, was like a breath of fresh air for him. He’d dressed in warmish clothing, he liked the cold, and had headed out. The roads were empty and the snow was still falling, he didn’t know when it would stop, as he plodded through the snow. The walk took longer than he’d wanted, he did have to watch where he went, but he did finally arrive.

Now that a certain issue had been resolved, Agatha was spending more time going between the manor and her home. While she still had a preference for the books in the manor, she liked the level of privacy she had at her own home. Really, only Desiree and Liam visited her, something she was pleased with, considering she still didn’t quite like Aloysius.

Looking over the stocked kitchen, she followed the motions to make herself tea before noticing movement outside the kitchen window. It was a blond, but not the one she preferred. Something about this one bothered her. Perhaps it was because they visited, and she didn’t exactly know what their intentions were.

If it was the status of the home, it was obviously being lived in and not up for market. Other than that, she was hesitant to believe it was a stalker. It wasn’t as if who she was now had existed that long in the grand scheme of things.

Pulling down one of the bags from the tin above the fridge, she set it and three cubes of sugar in a mug before pouring water over it and turning the small tea timer over to start counting down the time needed to steep.

Moving the curtain slightly to get a better view, she watched as the blond from before trudged through the snow and onto the shoveled path. Something she appreciated having been cleared by Liam when he’d brought her over this time. The option of driving wasn’t something she had expressed interest in; there were too many things to take into consideration regarding it, even if Liam seemed eager to help in whatever way he could.

With a sigh, she waved out the window at this visitor before turning back to set up another cup. It would steep on its own, but it's better to get it set up before heading to the front door to see what they were on about. Liam had made it a point to be courteous to guests; it seemed like the thing humans did, at least proper ones, so she resigned herself to doing the same to avoid any prying into her habits.

The house looked good, of course it did, but it wasn’t the house he was actually interested in though he did wish it were something so simple and easy. He still was trying to find a certain ancient senshi, another like himself, and with no leads he was of course snooping about. The wave he saw, because of course he spotted it, the curtain being moved in the window had caught his attention which led him to seeing the waving hand. A nod of his head in return.

He was hoping to not talk to this one again, it was awkward and hard to avoid telling her just what he was looking for. How to tell someone without risking your own identity? Had Portia just vanished? He didn’t think she’d gone out and gotten herself killed, that didn’t seem like her at all, she seemed far more cautious and not the sort to jump into fights easily if at all.

Turning on the porch light so it would help illuminate things as it got darker earlier this time of year, she opened the door and leaned out to look for them. It was colder than she’d thought, something she was glad the house kept out as she waved again.

“It’s quite cold out, you’ll get sick if you spend too much time out in it.” Something Liam had told her happened, and she’d heard it from the man she disliked as well. The way they coughed and wheezed from the cold, as if their lungs were rejecting it. But this person was neither of them, and she had to play house as it were.

“Come in, at least for a moment to warm up.” Taking another glance around the snow-covered ground, she didn’t see many other footprints, so at least this person seemed to be alone in their stalking endeavour.

Sick? He might, then again he might now, Ash wasn’t exactly sure how vulnerable to the cold he would be on this planet. So far the cold didn’t bother him like it seemed to everyone else, though he also wasn’t as tolerant of it as he used to be back home. But getting sick from it? How easy would that be for him?

“Alright, but just for a moment.” Because he didn’t think talking for long would be a good idea, how best to explain things without giving himself up as a senshi? If this was a civilian, and he had no reason to think otherwise, it would cause problems bringing someone into this mess. To explain to a normal human about magic and aliens and so much more? No, it wouldn’t be right or easy. “I see the home is all done, it came out very nice.” From what he could tell. “I had wondered if it would be done before the storm hit.” At least he could lie easy, far too easily, he hadn’t been wondering about this home at all. The only reason he was here was because of a person, someone who was missing. He would find her - he was certain of it. Just not today.

Moving aside as they dusted off the snow from their shoes, she nodded to where he could take them off so they wouldn’t track mud and snow inside. It was a simple solution, a boot tray on top of a small square rug.

Looking around as they spoke, she was still getting used to the changes and adjustments in the home compared to the scattered memories she had of the place. It was like night and day, from what she could tell. “Yes, for the most part it’s done. There are a few things to be handled for the upstairs rooms and additional bathrooms, but for the moment, those projects are delayed.” Between the weather and her getting used to people and working with Liam to manage it all, she had been expecting something like that to happen.

“I haven’t seen weather like this; it rarely snowed where I lived before.” At least from what she could remember, but most of it was contained in one location, and a visual of the sky was never present in those flickers of memory.

Settling back down at the table next to her tea, she watched the tea timer’s sand finish trickling down to the bottom before pulling the bag out and setting it on the small plate she’d set aside for them and both spoons. The sugarbowl sat between both cups as well as the honey. Everything was ready for her cup as she took a sip and enjoyed the warmth from it. “You can add whatever you’d like to yours. I thought it might help warm you up.”

“This is an unusually cold and brutal storm from what the weather keeps saying. We’ll see when it hits.” Though he had nothing to really compare it to, something he wasn’t about to say, but it also seemed that what was going to hit them was all over the place according to people he heard everywhere he went. From how many inches of snow to how cold it would be, even when the snow was to start, it all seemed a bit up in the air. Bending to remove his shoes, out of politeness, the blond stepped further into the house.

“This storm will set things back but at least you have heat and the basic needs at this point.” Or she might just freeze, if she could even live here, it would have been better to stay elsewhere if this place wasn’t at least survivable for this storm. “You should have things ready incase power goes out. I’ve heard some claim we may lose power in this storm.” Though he wasn’t sure about that it was best, in his opinion, to be ready for whatever might come…including power outages.

“Thank you.” Taking a seat as well he reached for the tea and pouring himself some the blond added a light splash of milk and some honey as well. It wasn’t something he’d normally drink, he preferred something deeper in flavor, but this was certainly welcome. “It was good to see the place worked on. I did wonder how long it would take.”

“I see, so I just happened to be unlucky with timing, it seems. At least it’s good to hear that weather like this isn’t common around here. I need to get used to the difference in climate here versus where I was before.” Picking up her cup, she swirled it lightly to disperse the sugar before taking another sip.

“I’ll take your advice and get something like that set up. With how lovely a home this is, I want to make sure that the pipes don’t freeze.” Some of the things she said felt foreign, but she had been given a laundry list of things to look out for by Liam with the home and with the contex,t she had figured out it was easy to insert it into conversation even if she didn’t know all the details about it.

“Did you end up finding another place? Or was this a home you were looking for to for vacationing? Not that it’s in a good place for something like that, I suppose.” Something about them felt just the slightest bit familiar, but she couldn’t place it. There were a few other blonds in her memory, but the faces didn’t match. At least this time they weren’t as bothersome compare to the first time they’d been loitering.

“While this isn’t common weather I wish it was, I like the cold.” He loved it infact, his home planet was nothing but cold and snow and ice. It was perfect, he was well suited for it, the heat of summer was not something he could easily handle. “Yes, that would be bad especially since things just got redone.” Assuming the pipes had been redone. He had lived on a cold planet and he understood the concept of pipes bursting due to water freezing in them, and expanding, but they’d had their own technology to keep such from happening. It wasn’t something experienced by his people, they knew how to prevent it, but it made sense in such cold temperatures for that to happen here.

“No one would be able to get out, with the storm, to fix it if they were to burst.” That would leave her for days potentially, likely, without water running. That was never good, the idea of not bathing at least once a day made his nose wrinkle. He didn’t like the idea of being dirty, he bathed at least once a day sometimes twice. If he could, three wouldn’t even be bad.

“I did find a place, though I’m living with a friend. It’s not bad for now.” The best way to explain his living situation, without getting too into it, he couldn’t mention he’d been taken in since he was new to the planet. It worked though. “I couldn’t help but see how this place came out though, the style of this place is just so nice. I’m glad to see it got the repairs it needed so bad.”
