Hobbies:
Ice Skating || When he was younger, Micah took an ice skating lesson, and took to it extremely well. He's not looking to be competitive or anything, but it's a good active hobby and during the winter, if there's a safe skating lake, he's happy to be on it. Mostly he skates at an indoor rink not too far from the DCU campus, and it's his favorite place to go when he needs to stop thinking and focus on something physical.
Foodie || Micah doesn't cook, but he loves food. He especially loves food experiences--not so much the super elevated "I have deconstructed a beef wellington into two thin slices of wagyu, mushroom foam, and the essence of puff pastry" type of experience, but a chef-curated menu and food that is meant to both taste good and display unique techniques or ingredients. It's part of why he wants to be a food critic, and he already runs a food blog where he reviews local restaurants, though he's just one guy with a blog and a funny writing style (he thinks, at least.)
Warhammer 40K || It really is a good thing Micah has rich parents who don't care what he does with his "allowance," because plastic crack is a real problem. He has invested quite a lot of time and money into his armies, and painting them himself is a soothing hobby. And he doesn't just play the tabletop game; he's genuinely invested in the franchise. His collection of Black Library novels is extensive and yes he will pay whatever inflated price for some fascinating bestiary that was only released in extremely limited quantities because it's his favorite franchise. The Emperor protects.
Virtues:
Persistent || Micah does not know the meaning of the phrase "give up." He doesn't like to accept failure or negative results, and always works hard to overcome obstacles placed in his way. If he wants something, he'll work to get it, and he won't let setbacks or unfortunate circumstances dissuade him.
Detail-Oriented || The little things matter, and Micah likes to make sure he keeps an eye on them. He always wants the details to feel right and in order, and he'll notice little errors or small problems and work to head them off before they become big ones. Every piece of a puzzle matters--so Micah will always work to make sure they're all in place.
Flexible || Micah does his best to adapt to changing circumstances; he prefers to persist through obstacles, and sometimes the way to persist is by changing the plan to go around. If one idea isn't working, look for a new idea. The answer is always there, sometimes you just have to change your angle to find it.
Flaws:
Little s**t || Micah gets a lot of entertainment out of being a gadfly, annoying people, and generally being ridiculous and frustrating. This is, obviously, a trait that makes him incredibly irritating to be around when he's in a mood to do it, and he drives away plenty of people who are unable or unwilling to put up with his particular brand of nonsense. Micah would insist it's all intended in good fun, but not everyone agrees, and he's certainly capable of pushing way past when he should knock it off.
Sunk Costs || Micah doesn't like to give up, and therefore he will often continue to pursue a goal well past when he should have stopped. Surely if he just tries a new approach, he can figure it out, and he never wants to stop believing that he can figure it out. "Sunk cost fallacy"? Never heard of it. Sounds like a skill issue. If he just keeps trying, surely he'll get the result he wants--except this doesn't always work out and leaves him with a much bigger mess than if he'd known when to fold 'em.
Can't See the Forest || Micah is very capable of getting lost in the details of whatever he's pursuing. They matter so much, and he will therefore give them more weight than might be entirely fair. Focusing down on the little things is still focusing down, and means that sometimes he misses bigger-picture, cumulative problems while working on something much smaller and perhaps less important.
