The weather is turning but mother nature has one last hurrah in store - it seems she has mustered up a blizzard that's blown down from the mountains and over the majority of the Kawani lands. This is highly unusual for this time of year, it seems winter was not ready to let go! How does your soquili fair in this blizzard? Do they see the signs early and manage to avoid it completely? Do they seek shelter in time and wait it out? Do they find themselves stranded and in danger? Do they fend for themselves or do they help others around them?

Write an RP responding to the above prompt telling us about how your soquili responds to this natural disaster! Should you meet the requirements, the spirits may send them something to keep them warm!

Tristan was the type to stay alert in signs of danger and wouldn’t run when it came to facing any problems. Doing all in her powers to make things right, or at least try to. So when Mother Nature decided she wasn’t done yet, it was Tristan who burst forth and took that gallop towards her Dad’s place.

Trevor on the other hand, once filled with so much vigor and life, he was now tired and just existing. Laying in his home he didn’t bother with too much, but he did have company over. Apparently the weather affected his health as he grew weak and sick.

His guest was a lovely, ghostly mare by the name of Karma. She was kind and gentle around him. Picking up blankets and making sure he kept warm through this blizzard.

The snow would be up half way to her knees before she could get inside her Fathers home. “Dad!” She bursts in looking around only to give a more secured sign of relief. “Oh goodness, I’m so glad you’re okay.” Spotting Karma she smiled. “Thank you for taking care of him.”

Karma gave a nod. “My pleasure.”

“Dad, are you prepared for this blizzard?” Tristan paced as she looked around, it didn't seem like he was completely prepared, but it did look like Karma did all she could to prepare for the both of them, to her ability. Tristan was ever grateful for her Fathers dead friend.

Trevor on the other hand only stared at the small fire inside his home that kept them all warm, as he curled up, his body ached, from muscles to his joints. His nose buried under the blanket, glancing up he acknowledged his daughter only to have a rough cough after.

“I’ll take that as a no.” She let out a concerned sigh before making her way outside, being sure to grab a saddle basket, and placing it on her back, with Karma's help as she made it back out in the blizzard. The cold bit through to bone as she shivered, kind of wishing she had something warmer to help her on her expedition. First thing was first, she made sure her little dragon followed her the entire way, as the green child climbed up on her back, trying to use his warmer body heat to keep her warm as she decided to get some more wood stocked up.

It wasn’t like she could cut trees down, but digging her nose into the deep snow, feeling and finding any branches she could, she pushed herself, making sure she filled her baskets to the brim, so it would help her family.

As she worked she kept going as her heart warmed up, excited to tell her dad later. She found the love of her life and she was looking forward to moving in with him instead of being on her own, well technically not on her own since she had her little dragon buddy, but still.

Letting out a cold breath she shivered, the blizzard sticking to her, especially around the face made it harder to work. Shaking her head she rubbed her eyes on her leg before continuing on. “Mother Nature, what brought this fury upon you to have that final breath of harsh winter.” Oh how she hoped it was the last big winter of the year.

Shaking her head again she knocked off the fresh snow from her mane and tail, now trudging through the snow, anything edible she tried to gather through this mess as she wanted to make sure her Dad didn’t starve through this last bite of winter.

Tristan on the other hand was prepared at her own home. It was something she was good at, staying prepared and working hard. She didn’t like all these dainty, have the stallion do all the work sort of mentality, as long as she was happy, she didn’t care what anyone thought of her. She was happy and her sweetheart of a Stallion made her happy as well as they treated each other like equals.

There was one thing that stopped her though for a small breath, here and there. And that was the beauty of this blizzard. She knew once all calmed down that there would be such a lovely sight to behold. It didn’t matter Mother Nature's mood, She knew Mother Nature was creative and strong. Never get on her bad side and to respect all that came along the long journey of it all.

Once she was all done with her gathering endeavors she made sure to trudge back to her Dad, Trevor’s place, stomping and shaking all the snow off when she was safely inside as Karma took the baskets, placing them to get dry as she sorted through everything.

“Thank you for everything, Tristan.” Karma was ever grateful. Once she was done sorting she brought over another blanket, wrapping Tristan up in it as she led the hard working mare over to the fire. “Rest with your Father and I’ll get you both something warm to drink.”

“Thank you, Karma.” Tristan beamed as she curled beside her Dad, laying her head and neck across his sleeping back. “You better get well soon, I have so much I want to talk with you about.” She whispered. Not wanting to disturb his slumber, but also very happy he was resting off his cold. Deep down she missed how active and peppy her dad was, so seeing him so sick, worried her dearly. “We’ll get your spunk back, just you wait.”

Karma was careful as she brought Tristan a bucket of warm herbal water, wanting to make sure Tristan wouldn’t start to get sick after working so hard. Seeing Trevor asleep she decided she’d get him something warm to drink later.

Tristan once again thanked Karma as she sat up enough to drink. Her body warmed up as the taste helped clear her sinuses after all the cold snow clogged them for the time being. After she finished her drink, she rested her head and neck on her Fathers back, a yawn coming from her as she decided to rest with him to help keep him warm.

Karma joined in, as she laid down, curling around the other side of Trevor, her head on Tristan's neck. They were both dear friends and she wished that the blizzard would pass soon, as she gave a small yawn herself, resting with them.
