HOBBIES:
Music (Creation and Exploration)
Music remains at Ilian’s core in everything he does. As a civilian, he plays primarily for himself — composing, experimenting, and learning new instruments out of curiosity rather than ambition. His passive ability makes exploration easy, but mastery still takes effort, which he enjoys. Music gives him a private emotional outlet untouched by expectation. It’s one of the few places where he doesn’t have to worry about how his actions could affect others.
Physical Conditioning
Ilian maintains a disciplined physical routine focused on strength, endurance, and controlled movement. This isn’t about appearance or competition, but rather preparation. Training allows him to burn off tension, maintain control, and reaffirm confidence in his body without having to rely on others. He prefers solitary workouts, where routine and repetition create a sense of stability, but he will often go jogging with Lovely.
Targeted Research
While Ilian has never loved reading for pleasure, he engages deeply with research when it serves a purpose. Recently, his focus has turned toward the patterns behind Senshi and Knight names, celestial symbolism, and possible cosmic connections. His approach is practical rather than academic. Zealous and Resilient
Ilian’s defining trait has always been his refusal to quit. His passion is no longer fueled by desperation or revenge, but by disciplined resolve. When something matters to him, he commits fully and endures whatever it demands. Setbacks don’t deter him. They refine him. This resilience has allowed him to survive loss, rise through the Negaverse, and shoulder responsibilities that would break others.
Loyal
Ilian’s loyalty is unwavering. He is devoted to the Negaverse as an institution — its structure, its goals, and its role in maintaining order and protecting the Earth. This loyalty isn’t limited by rank, proximity, or personal attachment; anyone aligned with the Negaverse’s cause falls within the scope of his protection. Outside of powered life, this same loyalty manifests as consistency and reliability. Ilian stands by the people and commitments he chooses. Impulsive
Despite his maturity, Ilian’s instinct is still to move first. He’s often the first to rush toward danger, driven by a fierce desire to protect others. Though he has tempered the aggression of his youth, he doesn’t apologize for his convictions and he can struggle to empathize with viewpoints he considers shortsighted or harmful.

Ilian holds himself to a high standard of fairness before intervening. He’s careful not to wield authority impulsively, preferring to ensure his actions are justified and necessary. While this restraint prevents abuse of power, it can also allow situations to escalate further than they might have if addressed sooner. When Ilian does intervene, he does so decisively — but the delay often leaves him carrying the weight of outcomes he feels he could have mitigated.

HOBBIES:
Piano — Music is Ilian's life, plain and simple. He surrounds himself with it whenever he can, and seeks comfort in it when he's angry or upset. Playing the piano comes naturally to him, some even say he and his older brother are prodigies like their father before them. He's even been told he knew how to play before he could even walk or talk (he's not sure he believes that, but also can't pinpoint the moment he knew he started playing). The piano is one of Ilian's very few talents in which he doesn't have to try very hard to be good at, like everything else in his life. Despite being placed in Hillworth, a kindly old piano instructor decided to take Ilian on as a pupil, despite Ilian not being able to afford any kind of lessons and had either taught himself or learned from his brother since he was eight. Now, at least a few times a week, he stops by his instructor's house for lessons or to play on a piano that is actually tuned.
Singing — Next to playing the piano, singing is the only other thing Ilian has found he has talent for. His mother held voice and singing lessons and held music therapy sessions, and she and he would often sing to each other. After the accident, it took him a few years to start singing agin. He hopes to one day produce his own music and looks to artist and groups like Billy Joel, Elton John, Tori Amos, Journey, and Queen as inspiration.
Lacrosse — Ilian was told he had a natural gift for piano and he should do everything he can not to threaten the mobility of his hands... So naturally, he plays lacrosse. What better way to keep his hands safe than potentially getting them beaten and battered every game? Of course, he was interested in lacrosse ever since his brother started playing in middle school, and often took to helping him practice, despite being four years younger. Once he was old enough to join the middle school team he did, and continues to play much to his piano instructor's distress. He's not the best player by far, but he puts one hundred percent effort into playing. His zeal and enthusiasm makes up for a little where he lacks in natural and practiced talent.
PERSONALITY
Zealous — Out of all Ilian's failures, no one can claim that he didn't try. He puts forth his best effort in everything he does, and while he seems to always fall short, he stubbornly continues on. His resilience makes him head-strong, but it's his passion that defines him most. Even if he knows he's not going to accomplish a goal, even though he knows he'll never be good enough to do what he wants to do, he'll never give up. Lacrosse, schoolwork, helping someone out: whatever it is, he'll give it his all no matter what.
Sociable — Ilian likes being around people, whether they are doing something together, or just sitting around doing nothing. He's comfortable around people and enjoys speaking to others and learning about them. Friendly and outgoing, Ilian will often start up a conversation when meeting someone new, and he welcomes others to come to him for anything. He's never too busy to talk to someone to try to help someone out if they need him, although many have learned that he's probably not the first choice if they want something to succeed.
Decisive — Resolute in his decisions, it doesn't take long for Ilian to make up his mind and stick to a plan. He knows what he wants and doesn't hesitate when it comes to picking one thing over another. His decisiveness exhibits his determination and passion for everything in his life. If need be, Ilian is more than willing to step into others' arguments to put an end to their bickering when a decision can not be made — this is sometimes helpful in curbing tension, but can also backfire due to his own inability to change his mind about something.
Impulsive — Despite being told not to do the thing, Ilian will most likely do the thing if he's made up his mind to do so. Ilian's actions are based on emotion, so the likelihood that he will do something rash and dangerous is much higher than if he took a few moments to think things through. Jumping in to defend someone being bullied, or even standing up to authority has gotten him in trouble before. He's been told he needs to think before acting, but in his mind, thinking is just hesitation and it's not like thinking about his actions will change his decision anyway.
Self Righteous — No matter what you might say to try and convince him otherwise, he believes himself to be morally right and takes it upon himself to bring others to justice for their behavior. He is very outspoken against driving under the influence, as well as separating siblings in foster care — both of these examples for the huge impact on his life. He sees other people with their "perfect" lives taking things for granted and judges them for it. Obviously no one has a "perfect" life, but it could be so much worse. They have no idea what it's like to have nothing to your name. If Ilian wasn't under eighteen, he'd be homeless.
Obstinate — Ilian refuses to let go of things and holds grudges with the best of them. Once he makes up his mind about something, he will stubbornly hold on. Not only will he not change his mind about something, but he will argue against someone else's viewpoints if only because he doesn't like seeming like he's wrong. This out of everything else, causes his temper to flare and has been known to have outbursts that he is no longer able to control, blinded by his own unyielding nature.
