Snowy Sneezes: (7) : Small custom shops and stalls always seem to open up this time of year, and Destiny City has no shortage this year. Several seasonal themed shops have already received raving reviews, and among them is a small cafe. Outside it looks like a cute vintage cafe, but inside, the shop has been decorated so convincingly that you feel like you've just stepped into a snowy northern forest. They have an array of delicious, cold drinks, and the trip would be worthwhile for that alone--except, shortly after the first sip, anyone who has ingested the drink will find that they sneeze a flurry of tiny snowflakes. The more drinks consumed, the longer you will find you are sneezing little snowflakes. It feels like there is a tickle up your nose for an hour or longer, depending on player choice; drinking more can also lead to longer effects. There are no negative impacts--just the need to sneeze often, and a little burst of cold snowflakes along with each one. Surprisingly, the shop still doesn't have any bad reviews.
Ainsley had heard about this cute little cafe that opened up for the winter season, and she just had to go try one of their drinks. Stepping inside the cafe was like stepping outside into a snowy forest that just happened to have a little pop up cafe in it. The line was long, but every review she had seen said it was totally worth it. So she waited, scanning the decor of the cafe. It was super cute, with forest scenes painted on all the walls and somehow the trees that sprouted from the tables looked real.
She was glad that the color from those weird steam puffs faded after a few hours, otherwise her face would still be orange. She giggled to herself softly as she remembered the morning she had spent with her future sister-in-law and niblings. Gosh, the twins were just so cute! And so inquisitive. They were definitely going to be a handful when they started crawling.
Finally it was her turn to order and she opted for something called a Pomegranate Sparkler. Apparently it had pomegranate juice, orange juice, and sparkling water, decorated with candied orange slices and pomegranate seeds. It definitely looked festive when they handed it to her and she took a sip as she stepped away from the line. It was sooo good! She could taste the pomegranate juice and the arils were the perfect combination of crunchy and sweet.
She took another sip and the fizzy water must have gone up her nose because she felt the urge to sneeze. Well, she felt the tickle in her nose anyway, just not quite enough of a tickle to actually sneeze. A small table opened up and she snagged the chair, relaxing under the 'shade' of the 'tree.' Pulling her phone out she settled in to do a little scrolling, a little game playing, while she sipped her delicious drink.
The tickle in her nose only got worse the more she drank, but nothing seemed to get rid of it. So she gave up and just waited for the sneeze to come while trying to distract herself from the tickle by playing on her phone. It worked for a little while as she played one of her merging games. They were so freaking addictive and it was so dumb, and yet she loved them anyway.
Once her drink was empty, she went up and ordered a second to go. It was so delicious, she had to have another one even if it did give her that tickle in her nose. She sipped it on her way home, and as she walked in the door... it happened.
She sneezed.
She sneezed snowflakes. A high pitched squeal left her before she burst into laughter. "NOA!" she yelled and ran further into the house. "IDRI!" She giggled as she ran into the living room to find them. She hoped the twins weren't napping, because if they were she probably just woke them up.
Oops. Oh, well, at least Noa would understand her joy. She sneezed again and another burst of snowflakes escaped her.
