Biting Chill ( 18 ) : The cold is strangely harsh, and even the still wind is vicious enough to sting. But the cold isn't the worst part of tonight--it's what comes with it. Out of a swirl of blowing snow, a massive, wispy wolf takes shape, enormous and snarling, with fur spiked like jagged icicles. Its eyes glow with a cold, wild intelligence, and before you can even react, it lunges as though you’ve trespassed deep into its territory. Every strike it makes feels like the bite of winter itself. Wherever its claws slash, wherever its jaws snap, frost cakes over. Even if you're lucky enough not to take massive damage, the cold seeps bone deep. When you manage to land a hit, the creature bleeds a strange, clear blood--icy water that freezes instantly into slush on the ground. The more damage it takes, the more its form flickers, shredded like wind-torn snow. The wolf fights with the relentless instinct of a dire beast, but it is not invulnerable. It will never run. It will fight until its body is broken and flickering, then--finally--a sudden gust will rip through the air and carry its dissolving body away. Howls echo on the wind. The rest of its pack probably isn't too far behind.

Note: This strange wolf is not a youma but can be used as a battle requirement for a character. It can only be used as a battle if there are two powered characters involved; you cannot write a solo and count this as a battle, and your character must be powered to meet battle requirements. You can use the prompt for as many characters as you like and it will count as a battle requirement, however if you repeat the prompt with the same character, only the first time will be usable as a battle.

She already knew she shouldn't be out without someone nearby, but Aiolos couldn't and didn't want to inconvenience anyone to monitor her so she stayed out of trouble. Now that she was…A bit more aware of what is going on with the war, she wasn't going to be so nice to every chaos agent she found. Okenite was really rare and it made her a bit sad. The wind started to pick up and she found herself shivering a little while she rubbed her arms to keep warm. Maybe she should call it a night and head home so she could warm up? She did have more of the apple cider Okenite made for her the other day.v

Yeti was running from the weird wolf made of wind and snow and very much not paying attention to where she was going. While she was looking over her shoulder, she ran right into a whole person. “s**t! I’m sorry!” Yeti got up quickly and tried to help the other girl up. “Come on, you gotta get up, there’s a thing coming and- Wait, are those wings on your head?”

She shook her head to get back to the matter at hand. “Not the time, right, anyway, come on!” she said. She glanced over her shoulder to see the wolf getting closer. “Stay close to me!” she shouted, then screamed her only option.

“I SCREAM!” Her voice was shrill as she screamed, and an igloo formed out of chocolate ice cream formed around the two of them with a small hole at the top to allow for light. “Hey, you okay?” she asked the odd bird lady.

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: I Scream!
Yeti can activate this defense maneuver with a scream. An igloo made of ice cream forms around her and any allies within a five foot radius, able to fully absorb any first stage damage. Second stage damage is 50% absorbed, and her shield has no effect against third or fourth stage damage. If an enemy tries to get through the ice cream shield they will find themselves ice cold and sticky. Her shield lasts for 30 seconds if no damage is taken.. She can use this shield three times per battle. Any damage taken from contact with Yeti's shield is optional/player chosen, but they will feel the cold and stickiness.

Aiolos fell over with a cry, about to ask questions about what the girl was talking about when she shouted that there is no time, telling her to stay close. If Aiolos knew anything, it was the fact that when someone told you to stay close, you listened because that could mean there is danger lurking. “O-Okay!” She stayed close and ran with the senshi to keep safe. She jumped when there was some sort of structure that appeared around them, tilting her head curiously at it. Her head wings flapped for a second before she turned around to look at the girl.

“I-I'm fine…A-Are you okay?”

She could feel the darkness coming from the girl in front of her,, which did cause her to step back a bit. Getting hit in the nose was not on her list of things to accomplish today.

Yeti let out a breath when her igloo formed around them, then winced as the wolf slammed into it with a shrill cry. The ice cream igloo shook and Yeti could feel it get weaker. “I’m okay, but that thing came out of nowhere, literally.” Now that she got a good look at the other girl, she realized that she was Order, which meant they were on opposite sides. When the girl’s head wings actually flapped like real wings, Yeti couldn’t help but stare. “Whoa.”

Okay, still not the time. Maybe afterward. “Right. So. There’s a wolf at the door. This igloo will last for another hit, maybe two before it breaks so we need a plan and fast. You got any offensive magic?” she asked. “I’m defense only.” She sighed at that, but her brother preferred it that way. It just meant she was going to have to take more martial arts classes and get better at fighting. And maybe find a weapon she could carry around with her all the time.

Wolf?! The poor senshi jumped when the wolf ran into the igloo, looking at the corrupted senshi with wide and fearful eyes. “I-I can heal? N-No…Fight. I-I mean…I CANT fight.” her english tended to slip when she was scared out of her mind and she wished Okenite or even Greive were here, they would know what to do and how to get rid of a big wolf that seemed like it wanted to eat them. She wasn't a tasty chicken damn it! Why did everything monster want to eat her?! “We could just…..Throw something at it?” she really didn't have any ideas at this point so maybe the other senshi was full of them?

If not then they were both going to be hurt by the end of this.

She stared at the bird girl. “Throw something at it,” she repeated. Right. “Not sure how well that’s gonna work…” She chewed her lip for a second as she looked at the ground where they stood. There were small stones, but she didn’t have a way to throw anything like a projectile. Damn, maybe she should learn how to use a slingshot.

The wolf slammed against the igloo again and the structure shuddered. “One more hit.” It could take one more hit. “So, uhh, I’m gonna trust you for this fight at least, okay? When my igloo falls, I’ll keep the wolf distracted while you go find something we can hit it with.” And hopefully, the Order girl wouldn’t just leave her to the wolf. But then again, if she did, she had two powerful Nega agents on her side and Yeti could put a target on Bird Girl. Polarite and Saleeite would relish coming after someone who hurt Yeti, especially if they were Order.

The plan sounded like it could work!

Without hesitation, Aiolos nodded quickly, readying herself to go look for something nice and big that she could throw at the wolf. “Can count on me!” It didn't matter that she was chaos, she would help because it was the nice thing to do, and she had a feeling this senshi wouldn't hurt her, unlike the officer with the bubblegum hair.

Yeti nodded; it seemed like bird girl was on board with the plan. “Get ready,” she said and turned in the opposite direction to fight the wolf. Another full body slam into the igloo came from outside and the structure melted into chocolate goo before disappearing completely. “Go!” she shouted, aiming a kick for the wolf’s head while it was still downed from its body slam. Any normal creature would have been feeling the biting cold of touching her igloo, but not this freakin’ wolf.

Her platform sneaker landed a direct hit to the wolf’s temple and it staggered, shaking its head. She didn’t let up, despite the fact that her foot now felt like it was freezing. Yeti kept kicking at the wolf, even if she missed, because it kept the wolf on the defensive and not attacking her. But she could tell that it was getting frustrated with her. Finally the thing launched itself at her. Yeti screamed in actual fear and tried to run, but the wolf’s claws caught her calf. “Damn it!” The wound felt like she had cut herself on ice, and frost caked over it. Well, at least it wasn’t actively bleeding.

While the senshi was distracting the wolf, Aiolos went to look for anything that would give them an advantage over the beast trying to tear them down. The noises behind her were making her nervous and she wanted to hurry so she could get back and help. Eventually she found a big rock that was slightly too heavy, but she managed anyway, coming back immediately to find the senshi on the ground with a wound in her calf. “O-Oh!” She hurled the rock as fast and hard as she could towards the wolf with the intent to hit it in the head.

The small senshi quickly made her way towards the corrupted senshi, pulling a purple baton out of the jewel on her forehead. “H-Here! Take it! It will heal you~”

”Do you accept”
Sailor Aiolos touches the purple stone on her forehead, and pulls out a baton of light. She would then offer the baton to the target, who will feel compelled to accept it. Once they take the baton, it dissipates and envelops them in a warm light. They will feel a wave of acceptance wash over them, often accompanied by a sensation of relief, calm, or peace. Her magic will heal all minor injuries and targets may get a slight second wind. This can be used three times and lasts for 30 seconds. This magic has no effect on severe or life-threatening injuries.

Yeti relaxed when a giant rock came sailing from behind her and struck the wolf in the shoulder, knocking it down and back and making it flicker in the wind. When the smaller senshi spoke, she looked up in time to see her pulling a baton of light out of her forehead. Weird. But okay. She gave the other senshi an odd look but accepted the baton. The baton dissipated and Yeti was surrounded by warm light. She felt calm, despite the wolf still growling a couple feet away from her. They could do this, it would be fine.

She looked down at her leg when she felt the skin pulling. Whoa. She hadn’t been kidding about her healing ability. “Nifty,” she said and stood up again. “Thanks!” She grinned and kicked the wolf while it was down, grabbing the rock and heaving it at the wolf, hoping to hit it in the head.

Yay! Someone that was appreciative of her healing abilities!

Giving the senshi a smile, Aiolos stepped back while she watched the senshi work. Usually she wasn't for so much violence towards anything, but when it came to survival, she would make an exception. That didn't mean that she didn't feel bad for the poor wolf while it was being hurt with the rock, wincing when there was a weird wet sound once the rock met the wolf’s head.

Oh, gross. That sound made her shudder, but she hefted the rock up again to hit it once more. The wolf’s form flickered and she dropped the rock on its head. It went down, clear liquid oozing from where the rock had connected and done its damage. It tried to get up but its form began flickering even more until another wind blew and took the wolf along with it.

“Oh, thank goodness,” she said and relaxed. She turned to the other senshi and held a hand out. “Truce?” she asked. “At least for now. I can’t promise anything if we meet during a fight.” But this girl seemed alright, even for an Order senshi. She wouldn’t tell her brother or Noa about her at all, and if they met one on one like this again Yeti wouldn’t attack her.

Truce?

That was the first time someone had offered.

Aiolos quickly took and shook the hand offered, “Of course! I will always help you…Just…No attack please. I erm…Dont like to hurt.” She hoped this senshi would be like Okenite and maybe then she could have another friend! With that, Aiolos smiled, “My name is Aiolos….What is your name?” That way she could remember it for the future.

Yeti nodded; she could do that much. “I’m Yeti. Senshi of Ice Cream,” she said with a grin. Aiolos. She’d have to remember that for next time. Her phone jingled with her brother’s text tone and she rolled her eyes. “That’s my guard dog texting, I’ll catch you later, birdie,” she said and waved before jogging off.
