Totoro had visited one of his favorite area parks with a large soccer field, while the ground was blanketed in white and no one could play soccer it made for a great place to build a snowman, it would have also been a good place for a snowball fight if there were more people out. He was rolling up a large snowball for the base humming as he did so.
Glad that his raccoon fuku kept him almost warm enough, he added thick black socks to cover the little bit of leg that his fuku didn't cover, just to keep the frost bite from getting him since his mother worried. There was a pause as he inspected his snowball to see if it was a satisfactory size and grinned. Looking to see if anyone else was a around since he thought he felt another energy signature.
Maybe they'd want to help him?
Snow Strike (11) : While out, a sudden snowball smacks you squarely--then another, and another--launched with uncanny accuracy from nowhere you can pinpoint. Whether it’s one unseen assailant or an entire invisible team, the barrage is definitely targeted, and attempting to throw snowballs back or defend yourself only seems to escalate the attack. Sometimes the snowy onslaught will follow you if you run; other times, stepping past a certain point makes it abruptly stop, as if whatever’s behind it has lost interest. No matter how intense it gets, the bombardment always dwindles after a few moments, leaving you cold, dusted in snow, and wondering who--or what--decided you were the perfect target for winter mischief.

Aquitania had begged an excuse to go sledding by herself in a nearby park while her mother and brother were practicing his driving, promising she'd give her cousin a call to come join her. However, the chibi had been inexact as to when she was planning on calling her cousin, as Aquitania wanted to get more time in as a senshi. After all, her big brother had Powered up to a super senshi, and she was starting to want to push herself to improve like that, too.
So she stuffed her sled into subspace and transformed as soon as the family was out of the house, grabbing some gloves, a heavier coat, and thick socks to put on underneath her boots, before making her way toward the park of her choosing, one that happened to have a large soccer field, right beside an excellent hill for sledding. Just in case she decided to actually go sledding. Given the cold weather, she was honestly glad of the additional warmth, and willing to try sledding--
As she entered the park, the chibi felt the gentle pinging flare of a friendly energy signature. Someone else was here? Or maybe nearby?
Aquitania scanned the park, spotting nobody else at first...except for a boy in what looked a bit like a jacket with a raccoon hood, sporty pants rolled up just under the knee, fingerless gloves, and very unique-looking sneakers, with a raccoon tail hanging at his back. Oh, and a sailor collar camouflaged against his coat.
Another chibi? She didn't see other kids like herself very often, and that was definitely worth a look. Making her way over to where it looked like he was rolling...a snowball?
Either he was making a very small snowball, or he was building a snow fort, or he thought he could get the drop on her. Well, two could play at that game.
Pausing, she picked up some snow, and began to shape it into a rough ball, working quickly, because it looked like he was starting to turn around to look for people. Had he sensed her, as she had sensed him.
She lobbed her snowball quickly at his back, before abruptly pulling her hands behind her back to unobtrusively dust the snow off, hopefully before he cottoned on to the fact that the exceedingly girly-looking chibi senshi behind him had just tagged him first.
Totoro was humming as he continued to roll his snowball and suddenly he was interrupted by a snowball. . . coming from a direction that he didn't look in and paused, standing up and looking blinking. "Heyyyy~! No fair I wasn't ready!" He looked at the chibi who'd thrown the snowball curiously after he said that.
There was a pause and his eyes lit up, "Heyyyy you know Realta right?" He didn't seem to be bothered by the fact he got hit by a snowball, nor the fact she was the only other one around. He was pretty sure he'd seen her at the fight with the huge snake.
Did he remember her name though? There was a lot going on during that time. "Do you want to build a snowman?" He asked smiling as he motioned back to the larger snowball he'd been making, "Orr we could see if we could find another person or two for a snowball fight?" The snowball having hit him gave him the idea.

"I think there's a saying that all's fair in love and war, and I think a snowball fight counts, as long as nobody's actively trying to hurt someone else. Though maybe a squirt gun fight qualifies better," she added thoughtfully, and waved. "Yep! She Awakened me. I don't think I caught your name? But mine's Aquitania."
She peered at his snowball. "Either sounds good to me--"
A snowball smacked her squarely in the back, between her shoulderblades.
The chibi whirled around in surprise. She hadn't sensed anyone--
SMACK.
The next snowball hit her in the shoulder, causing her to stumble back slightly. Where had it even come from? She could see no one else, but the two of them in the snowy park. Whoever it was, they had volunteered themselves for the fight. Bending down, she quickly scraped together a fresh snowball, and hurled it in the direction the two previous mysterious snowballs had come from...
...And was rewarded with a volley of more snowballs aimed at the chibis, in clear escalation of the one little snowball hastily thrown in self-defense.
Totoro laughed when she mentioned she thought there was a saying about all's fair in love and war, "Yes, I do believe that is a saying. However, if you don't know it's a war how is it fair?" He gave a playful wink and grinned.
"Snowball fights count I'm pretty sure~! I agree though no one should get hurt." He thought for a moment before nodding, "Squirt guns for a water fight would be fun but I think it's better suited for warmer weather." The raccoon clad chibi gave a chuckle.
"Awesome, Realta awakened me too!" Totoro said when Aquitania said she was awakened by the same cat. "I'm Totoro~ I'm pretty sure we meet each other with the big snake but I think we didn't get to really do introductions because of how crazy it was."
He was about to say great when Aquitania got hit by a Snowball and he looked around quickly, "Who threw that?" He didn't feel any energy signatures and suddenly he got hit square in the back and gave a quick yelp from not having expected it. "Heeeyyy it's an ambush!"
He rolled up a bunch of snow in his hand for a snow ball and looked towards the direction the snowballs were coming from, his new friend having gotten hit a second time and then once she threw the snowball she'd quickly made a volley of them coming towards them he clicked his tongue and threw his snowball too. Were they surrounded?
Maybe they could use his largest snowball as some sort of cover and quickly make a wall while the other one threw snowballs back?? "Should we run or try to use my snowman base for cover and one of us try to build a wall from him to protect us? While the other throws snowballs back?" He was trying to dodge the snowy spheres being thrown at them as much as he could. "Unless you have a better idea to add to the Snowman base for protection? If we go that route?"

"That's a good point about war and fairness," Aquitania conceded as she made a dash for the base of his snowman. "I'm good with the snowman base as cover. I can build the walls if you'll throw," she added, aggressively shoveling snow into a crude barricade alongside the base of the snowman.
Her hands were too small to get much piled up quickly, though....
The chibi's golden eyes lit up, and she reached into subspace, pulling out the saucer she'd been intending to go sledding in. It would work.
Aquitania aggressively scooped the snow using the saucer, shoving it on top of the rough little curtain wall, ducking as soon as the next scoop was in place to avoid getting pelted with rogue snowballs, which were coming thick and fast over their heads. Sure, the saucer would need the excess snow smacked out before she could do anything with it, but at least she had a tool of sorts as she got the wall high enough to defend the two chibis from the mysterious onslaught of snowballs.
Totoro chuckled and nodded when she said that was a good point and he'd gotten smacked on the side of the head with a snowball when she said she was good with using the Snowman base as part of the cover, "Good, lets go."
The chibi followed and ducked behind the large snowball base as he started making up smaller snowballs to throw while she worked on the walls. He was lobbing the snowballs towards the source of the snowball's that were attacking them. "Do you actually see anyone attacking us? Or do you think it's some invisible gremlin?"
The chibi of raccoon's was trying to figure out what they were being attacked by. When she got the wall large enough for both of them he stayed a bit low as he made more snowballs. "It's really weird..." He mused.

Aquitania shook her head. "No, I don't see anyone, either. Maybe some random flare up of magic? Or maybe just random magical event," she replied, shrugging as she pushed the wall higher and higher.
As Totoro was able to rest more and more, she relaxed next to him against the wall. "I know what you mean," she agreed, watching snowballs sail harmlessly over the wall to land a few feet away. "I'd really like to know what's behind some of the weird events that seem to happen around the holidays," the chibi added, thinking of Halloween and Star Fest. Both had been marked by odd events that she hadn't really marked as anything special back before she was a senshi. Did these events tend to pick on people with magical powers, instead of mundane people? On the one hand, rude, on the other...well...at least the weird events were more often than not targeting people who weren't defenseless. So that was a good thing.
It took her a moment to realize the rate of fire from the mysterious flinger of snowballs had begun to drop to a trickle. She blinked. "Hey, Totoro? I think it's stopping. Do you think it's safe to come out from behind our little snow fort?" Aquitania asked.
Totoro was trying to figure out where to throw the snowballs largely tossing them in the same direction as which the enemy snowballs were coming from.
"It's weird if it's a random magic flare up. I wonder how often that happens."
The chibi of raccoons had to pause and make more snowballs, "Yeah I wonder if one of the cats would know what's behind the mystery or maybe one of the others like the deep space senshi or those other aliens?"
He finished making another couple of snowballs when she said something about it slowing down, He peeked out from the safety of the wall and looked around, "I think. . . maybe it is." He said cautiously.
