Marshmallow Snow: (5) : Fresh-fallen snow coats Destiny City. It’s pristine and crisp, and it crunches as you walk through it. It may be a few inches deep, but it doesn’t seem to go above your calves when walking. At first, it’s easy enough to walk through, but gradually you realize that it’s getting harder to move. Every step you take feels like the snow is pulling you back in, and if you get a good look you might realize that sticky white fluff is clinging to you. The more you walk, the more it pulls, until you’re almost completely stuck. Something about the snow smells oddly sweet, and the tacky, marshmallow-like snow seems like it’s suddenly become a prison. The more you try to break free, the stickier it gets, and you’d better hope you don’t fall down. The more you struggle the harder it is to escape, but if you manage to stay still for a few minutes, the marshmallow will freeze and crystallize. When you move again, the snow will turn into a powdery dust and you can break free easily. The only good thing about this is that you won’t starve if you get trapped–the snow tastes just like marshmallows. Despite being perfectly stuck, chest-deep in oddly sweet-smelling (and tasting, he found) snow, Danny was the very picture of calm. Rather than panic when he started sinking into the snow, unable to wrench himself free from it no matter how hard he tried—and he tried for a good several minutes—he quickly gathered his wits about him and stopped moving. He stopped sinking immediately, though he was still incredibly stuck. Luckily for him, though, both his arms were free, and he had his phone in his hand, so he spent some time sifting through his contacts, eventually deciding to send a message to one he thought might be willing to help him. Being that he was family and all, and the reason his parents ever even agreed to let him go to college in Destiny City, he figured it couldn't possibly hurt.
stuck in some weirdly sweet snow. not making it up. here's my location. can you come help me?
He sent that message to Alex just a short while ago, along with a pin so he knew where to find him, and then proceeded to play a few rounds of the latest MOBA he was trying out while he waited.
He was doing his best not to think of his parents, actually, and the fact that he wouldn't be seeing them for the holidays this year. He was off at school and they'd gotten called away on business so wouldn't be making the trip to see him or spend any time with any family they had in the city. It didn't bother him too much. He wasn't a little kid anymore, so it didn't bother him as much as it used to, but he'd be lying if he said he was completely unaffected.
The young man groaned as a lose screen came up, and he lowered the phone just in time to see a familiar someone coming his way. He waved, smiling a bit forcefully as he tried to keep the scowl off of his face.
"Over here!" he called. "And watch it, or you might get caught in the stuff, too."

Danny's parents were very odd amongst their family, rare even, as they didn't work in the city or the surrounding area. They lived over seas and that was beyond rare in the Evans family, and Alexandre knew he hadn't grown up in this city and didn't know what went on here, his poor cousin was going to be stuck here without his parents this holiday season. It wasn't like he would be without family, as nearly the whole family lived in and around Destiny City, there was plenty of family around and Danny would without a doubt he surrounded by family.
He'd given Danny his phone number awhile back, and pinged him when he came to live in the city, to remind him he was here and could help him if need be. He didn't think he'd need the help, at least not like this, and yet here he was walking towards his trapped cousin. He was certain, if he eyed the family tree, that Danny was a distant cousin but rather than care about how distant he was Alexandre went for cousin and left it at that. It was the same for his grandmother, who was really his great grandmother. he just dropped the words which added distance between himself and others in the family, it wasn't needed, they were all family after all. Since rejoining things, and being active in his family, the petite blond was content to close the distance with people and spend time with them when he could.
"Stay still, I'll get you - don't worry." That said as he powered up, hoping his cousin wasn't involved in this war, he was taking a risk and he knew it but he did need to get him free and teleporting was the best option in his opinion. A quick teleport later and he was in the same mess as his cousin, grabbing onto him. "Just hold tight." Thank god his uniform would be clean once he powered down, there wouldn't be a mess of marshmallow goo the next time he powered up, this was such a mess.
"I'll bring you home with me, get you some food and something to drink." And likely answer questions, because of course he'd need to. Again the secret was going to expand to include another family member, he should really tell Fiona.

He didn't have to be told twice. He probably sank as deep as he did because he tried too hard to get out earlier. If he'd stopped moving sooner, maybe he would've only gone down as far as his ankles or something. Then he'd have had more leverage to get himself out of this mess without involving anyone else. Not that he was exactly embarrassed or anything like that, but he did feel a little bad about pulling his cousin away from whatever he was doing to come get him out of such a stupid mess.
"Thanks," he said, smiling up as Alex approached. He would have said more, only he watched as his cousin...became someone else in the blink of an eye. His mouth fell open at the sight, and as if that wasn't enough he then proceeded to disappear from in front of him, only to reappear beside him in the marshmallow-y mire.
"How did you– But you were–" he stammered, then pointed at where he had been quite literally a second earlier. "Over there–" he then moved his finger to point at his cousin beside him. "And now you're here. How the hell are you here?!"
Even as he continued to go on about how impossible the thing his cousin had just done, though—he's teleported, which people didn't just do---Danny wrapped an arm around his cousin's shoulders as instructed. Skeptical as he was, home sounded good. So did food and a warm drink. And maybe a shower, too, if this sticky snow would gunk up and get all gross. He was covered in it, and it probably wasn't going to be pleasant.
"This good enough?"

"I'll explain when we get back to my place." Because his home was safe, he could talk freely there, Katya was a mauvian so she was no risk and Rene was a corrupt senshi so also no risk. He didn't have room mates or people who could just turn up at his door knocking and demanding attention, unlike Danny who lived in a dorm room. Having his own home made it safer. Grasping his cousin, as they held onto his smaller frame, the blond took the time to focus on the entrence room to his home.
Arriving in his home, in the blink of an eye, the general was powering down and standing there in his normal clothing. A nice warm, long, wool coat had kept him warm when he'd gone out to get his cousin but now it would overheat him - so it came off. The buttons were undone and the coat was walked over to the coat room and hung up while his boots also came off. The boots were snow boots, since the ground was covered in so much snow, and now he stood staring at his cousin. "Do you want a shower first? You could certainly use it." Looking over the other slowly, assessing his clothing and the state of it all. "I'll try and wash your clothing." Because he didn't know if he could get it all clean.
"Then we'll talk over something warm." Something to drink and some food. "Let me show you to one of the bathrooms."

"Whoa!" was the first word that tumbled out of Danny's mouth when, in the blink of an eye, they had gone from the weird marshmallow snow straight to the entrance to his cousin's house. The exclamation was a mix of surprise and impressed, because as weird as it all was he had to admit—it was pretty ******** cool. He turned to Alex, who had again done whatever he did to change in an instant to a different set of clothing, and sort of gawked at his cousin as he put his coat and boots away.
Oh, yeah.
Danny looked down at his own clothes and frowned. They looked like an absolute disaster, and when Alex said something about trying to get them clean he waved a hand dismissively. "S'alright," he sighed, looking up again before starting to follow his cousin's lead. "Got any clothes I could borrow, though? I, uh, don't exactly have a spare set on me." He held up his hands to show that he was quite empty-handed.
"And I know you said we can talk after I get cleaned up, but how did you do that? I mean, it's impossible! Teleportation, and not even the long process like in that Star Trek movie..."
He went on, as animated as he always was by things that he found fascinating, all the way to the bathroom.
Sleet Tempest Snape Sorry! Lost track of this one. lol

Glancing over to his younger cousin the blond shook his head slowly. "You won't fit my clothing...maybe Rene's, something older of his perhaps." His fiance collected clothing but he cycled thigns inand out, getting rid of old things, so he'd need to watch what he grabbed and make sure it wasn't something too new. This was one time he wished you could do something similar to uber eats, and grubhub, but for clothing.
"Teleporting isn't all that hard, it takes some time and effort but once you have enough power and experience it comes with ease." He didn't mention what power though, he wasn't looking to bring Dan into things. He had a feeling it would happen though, somehow, at some point - it was just a feeling.
"There is a lot to explain in all honesty. I will explain things, once you clean up and get changed, provided you keep in mind the families policy on scecrets and silence." Which was strict. The family had survived, had thrived even, for as long as it had because they kept silent with outsides. They kept their family secrets and guarded them, they'd had to. "Only this is a secret to keep from others within the family as well. Few know and I'd like to keep it that way. The fact any know was never intended to be." He'd never intended to let Lorcan know, never intended for Hudson to wind up a potential knight. But Hudson had a knights item turn up and Alexandre had brought him into the Negaverse instead. Lorcan he'd gone to when injured...to the person he trusted the most, the someone he'd grown up with, and it had led to his cousin joining. It had gone from there. He was still trying to keep it small, contained, not wanting to worry the family or for everyone to try and join...to make it a whole family affair.
The walk up the stairs, down a few hallways, took time but Alexandre soon stepped infront of a guest room door and motioned the other inside. "There is an en suit. It's fully stocked. Do what you need and I'll drop off some clothing." He'd just need to find some clothing.

Isn't all that hard he listened to his cousin say, as if it was the most normal thing in the world to be able to do. Danny's face had broken into a biggest grin as Alex went on, completely forgetting about the discomfort he was feeling in his mallow-ruined clothes. There was a part of him that was hoping he might mention how he could possibly learn such a cool trick, though he paused in his imaginings to nod at the warning about making sure to keep things on the quiet. Their family was all about that kind of thing, and his parents had taught him from a young age the value of knowing when and how to keep his lips sealed.
"No problem," he said, his voice exuding every bit of confidence to reassure his cousin that the secret would surely be safe with him. It did make him wonder who else knew, though he didn't really feel the need to ask. With time, and possibly more exposure, he had a feeling he would find out anyway.
When they eventually made it to a room and Alex gave him his instructions, he gave another nod. "Thanks," he said, "I'll try to be quick but I can't really make any promises. Not sure how fast this stuff'll come off," he made a face at the stuff he was covered in. "Also, sorry ahead of time if it ruins your pipes or anything like that. You can send me the bill for the plumber if it comes down to it, no problem." He shot his cousin another big, bright smile of gratitude, then disappeared into the room to start getting cleaned up.

"If it messes with the pipes I can afford it." He said shaking his head before turning and heading off to check his fiances closet. Down the hall, and around a corner and down another hall, the petite blond scooped up a rabbit on the way. Holly, one of the white bunnies, was in his arms cradled as he made his way into his shared bedroom and headed for the walk in closet. Time to see if Rene had anything old, something he'd be getting rid of soon, which might fit his cousin.
He did find clothing, something loose and comfortable, which he brought into the bedroom and left folded as he said he would. Holly was down on the ground now, he'd had to set the bunny down so he could get Rene's clothing, they had decided to follow at his side as he dropped the clothing off.
For a moment he wondered if he should just wander off, wait in the kitchen, but he was also sure Dan would get lost trying to find his kitchen. Seating himself on the edge of the bed, waiting, he wasn't too upset when Holly got up onto the bed and joined him. Her little nose twitching a mile a minute as they wandered about the bed slowly, he really was glad Rene had gotten him the cute little bunnies. Truth be told he wouldn't mind another one or two wandering the manor, they had the room, and it wouldn't bother him as he was certain Holly and Mistletoe would get along with any other bunnies brought in. Weren't the animals which did well in groups anyway? He had read that somewhere.

Much to Danny's surprise, the stuff came off easily with hot water, so he quickly got himself cleaned up and wrapped himself up in a towel before heading out of the bathroom. Being used to a locker room helped curb his surprise when he saw Alex sitting on the bed, waiting for him. "Thought I'd get lost?" he guessed, heading for the clothes as soon as he spotted them. He didn't wait for an answer as he headed straight back to the bathroom. "Two seconds!"
It was actually closer to a minute, but he soon walked out fully dressed and suddenly feeling incredibly hungry.
"These do fit pretty well," Danny said as he looked down at the clothes and wondered if the style suited him. He certainly wasn't used to it, but as long as he wasn't buck naked, the clothes fit, and he was comfortable, then he didn't particularly care. "I'll make sure to wash 'em before I give 'em back. So you said something about food?"

"Of course I did." He stated calm as ever, watching his cousin head back to the bathroom to get dressed. "You've not been here before and the house is rather large." Large was putting it mildly and the term house could be questioned, in favor of something a bit...grander? It was home though for hime thus the term house, despite what others might think and say.
"I'm glad the clothing fits well." Nodding his head as he stood slowly. "Let's get you some food then." Makign for the door way, knowing his cousin would follow him. "I was prepared to explain things to Rene and let you keep them, but if you don't mind washing and returning them that'll help." Because he was certain Rene would understand, and while he might not be the most pleased with that Alexandre was certain he could make it up to the Frenchman.
"Now, to explain things to you. There is a lot and honestly, if I didn't know things as I do, I wouldn't believe any of what I'll have to explain. It's a hard sell." The fact he had other family members involved, that they hadn't all thought him nuts, was a small blessing. He had family with him now...something he'd never planned on or thought would happen - ever. He'd tried to avoid it really, and now he knew that had been the wrong thing all along.
"I suppose we start with this being a cosmic war taking place on Earth, one with roots going back over a millennium. Also, add in a load of magic."
