Cooking/Baking: -- Arlen has a bit of a stress eating problem. When things get rough, and he needs to focus on something else, he snacks. To try and combat this, recently he took up cooking and baking instead. Definitely tastes better, at least.

Reading -- Between his occupations, sometimes the world can get to be a bit... Much. Crushing, some would say. So he likes to escape into novels. More likely than not, it's a romance novel (but don't tell anyone).

Drawing -- Having experienced a rather rough time as a child and in school, Arlen uses drawing as an outlet when he has time to get the supplies out. He's self-conscious of the sketches, and keeps them to himself for the most part, but he'll show them to someone he trusts, every once in a while.

Virtues:

Friendly: -- The first to start a conversation and always willing to try and interact with someone new. He'd chase down a stranger if they had a fun shirt on to compliment them, and wave to passerbyers without thought.

Funny -- The type to light up a room with his sense of humour, always ready to crack a joke or make a situation lighter with a laugh. He wouldn't let anyone be sad for too long if he could help it.

Soft -- Arlen would never turn down someone in need. First to offer a hug, to help someone up when they're down. He may not be able to fix everything, but if he could bake some cookies to improve a situation or hold a frightened hand, he'll be there.

Honest -- He would never be dishonest or try to cheat his way out of something (unless it was to keep someone safe), and is always there to give someone the grounding, solid advice they need. If you want the truth and someone to break it gently, Arlen is your guy.

Flaws:

Chatty: -- Sometimes, when the stress kicks in, Arlen can't shut off. Often, this manifests in him running his mouth like a motorboat, tripping over words and rambling about things that don't matter to distract from his panic.

Yes Man -- Often struggles with saying "no" to anyone. This can often get him into trouble with... Well, just about everyone. He overworks himself, overcommits himself, and makes a general mess of his life.

Reckless -- Prone to running blindly intro trouble when there's any form of danger, often leading him to get into sticky situations where he needs a save. Much to his embarrassment.

Implosive -- Arlen is the type to bottle up all of his emotions. Extensively. And usually when the bottle explodes, ah... Well, let's just say people should clear the warpath.
