He knew several of the cameras were down, he had been warned about the outage and assured that security would be tightened because of it. He didn’t really believe that… at least that was his excuse for showing up there well after most rational humans went home. He actually needed to head home as well but first Quinn wanted to make sure that everything was still good.

There were still cameras working but they were mostly aimed at the entrances and the main road but he had spotted a perfect spot to commit some BnE several weeks back. The fence had been covered by one of the camera’s that were now out of commission, a little loophole that Quinn used to get into the nearly finished construction site. He moved quietly but with purpose, avoiding the covered fence line just in case someone spotted something, and made mental notes on various tech he would adore one of the cats to integrate. Mostly access control but he was sure one of the smart fur balls could come up with all kinds of security measures. He just needed to figure out the biggest hurdle; how to determine the residents were friends not foes?

Shang knew his plans, as did Maia and the rest of that crew. Venice knew of course… but he wasn’t entirely sure how else to get the word out. Not without blowing his own cover or vice versa. There were so many damn variables and he always got stuck on the ‘well how do you really know’. It boiled down to, ‘you don't’ but did he really want to stake his family’s lives on trust alone? Did he have any option?

Quinn was absorbed in his own thoughts, occasionally leaving notes in his phone about various changes or ideas for the building and its eventual tenets, forgetting about one of the main tenets of the city. Always have your head on a swivel because it wasn’t humans that were the only danger stalking the streets. There were also youma. Youma who saw nothing but a distracted human in an isolated place. A perfect target. An unsuspecting target.
