There was something ironic, Lionel thought, that he was being chased down by a lion. Not entirely a straightforward lion, of course--the mane was spiny like a hedgehog, and it had very sharp-looking ridges down its back, and oh yes, a sharky tail and far too many teeth when it opened its mouth--but lion enough. The worse part was that it was hunting alone- usually Lionel liked to have his magic turn monsters on each other, but this time, he was stuck trying to fight it with fists.

That had not worked out particularly well for him. It had gotten its teeth into his arm, and he was bleeding, and it seemed to be all too eager to take a bigger chunk out, so he was running and hoping for backup.

There was a Squire around here somewhere; he could feel it.

"Hey!" He called into the dark of messy alleyways and closed shops, "I could use some help!"

Dunnottar was growing used to his uniform as a knight. The nearly literal candy cane aside, even if it did match his outfit. Truly, if he were honest with himself, he didn't look bad in it at all. He just wished it were more blue than pink, but there was little he could do about that.

No matter what, though, he could still take on an Agent or one of the Chaos Senshis, whichever faction they were from. And that was what truly mattered most.

Though he did especially enjoy brutalizing the youma. Taking down real monsters sent a thrill through him. So when he heard the call for help, he leapt into action, barreling through the area until he found the senshi who had called for help, and the monster chasing it.

Now that looked like a fun challenge, he thought to himself, pulling up his cane. He waited a beat, two, then lunged forward as it roared past him, cracking the great beast across the jaw with his cane.

Oh, good, this wasn't one of those aloof Batman assholes who didn't want to get involved in other people's problems or whatever. Lionel was glad to see the pastel-clothed Knight with his candy-looking cane come running in to help, without much in the way of hesitation. It was good to know people on this side would back each other up, too; he'd seen it in the Negaverse, but he'd wondered sometimes if Order's looser, more chaotic organization meant they were...less inclined to stick their necks out for randoms.

Of course, he wouldn't be purified if not for someone else sticking their neck out for a random, so he probably shouldn't have worried about it too much.

The youma, however, looked more than a little confused by the sudden second attacker. It snapped its teeth at the man in front of it, which was distraction enough for Lionel to come back in from the side and slam his body weight into it, sending the creature--and him--tumbling. Fortunately, they both didn't go far and landed in such a way that Lionel could use his weight to keep it pinnend, while dodging those hedgehog spikes.

"Whack it a couple more times with your cane," he encouraged, "I bet that'll take it down!"

Dunnottar let a small smile grace his lips. Really, more of a smirk, but he didn't think about it too much. The senshi knew how to use the strength of his body as well as his magic—that seemed to be rare, from what he'd witnessed in his time as a Knight. People overly relied on their magic.

Once the senshi had the lion-like youma pinned down, he strode forward and smashed his cane across the monster's face again, delighting in the way it roared in pain and fear. A moment later and his cane came down a final time; this time, stabbing the end of it through the youma's throat. It burst into dust and he stepped back to let it blow away without blowing all over himself.

"Excellent work," he complimented, nodding to Lionel. "Did it hurt you at all? I keep a first aid kit on me."

With all the strength Lionel had been putting into keeping the thing pinned, it was probably no surprise that when it vanished, he sort of...fell. After it. He made a soft "oof!" sound as he landed, face first, directly into the dirt, but he quickly pushed himself up and then winced.

He'd been ignoring the pain in his arm to fight the damn thing, but now that the adrenaline was receding, it came back in force.

"You are a very prepared lifesaver," he said, smiling in the way of someone who distinctly felt like a fool for what he was about to ask. "And it did get me. Bit me right in the arm, which was about when I started running to get backup." He sighed, stood the rest of the way up, and gripped the fabric of his uniform on the bicep where its teeth had torn through, yanking it off and baring the wound. The discarded fabric fell to the ground; it'd vanish when he powered down. "I don't know if bandages put on like this will stay? But I guess cleaning it some wouldn't be amiss."

Dunnottar did, briefly, feel like a jerk for asking if the senshi was alright after he'd just fallen to the dirt when the youma dissolved into dust, but at least Lionel didn't seem perturbed by it. He held back a wince at the sight of the wound and pulled his first aid kit from his subspace, gesturing at Lionel.

"Come on, you should sit so I can work on this while you're still," he said, moving to a bench not too far away. With better access to Lionel's arm now, he gently swabbed the excess blood away with some gauze and then cleaned the stained skin with an alcohol pad. The bite punctures didn't seem too deep, but still... He frowned at them, gently dabbing at the punctures with a fresh alcohol pad.

"I don't think you'll need to go to an ER to get stitches or anything," he said, still frowning deeply, "but I have a set of zip-stitches, if you'd like. You can apply them yourself. I'm not a doctor or anything, but I would recommend it."
