Hello and welcome to the Orientation thread! Here we have some useful tidbits of info to help you navigate and understand what the different threads and sub-forums are for.
So lets get down to business!

User Image

Shop Concept:

A B/C Shop based completely around Dragons. Dragons, Dragons and more Dragons!
There will be10 species, each with their own set of lines.
It will be based in a world without humans, created by ancient Dragonic beings called the Primascales long ago and is called Serathen.
Roleplay is strongly suggested but not required and will yield a lot of perks more than just extra babies from breeding.
There are Job classes to be had, Races and Gauntlets to run and Battles to be won! There is more you can do with your Dragons than just rp, collect and breed, so very much more!

User Image

The Dragons:

The species names are as follows:

Omni (Adaptive, can have any of the other elements)
Terravyn (Earth and flora)
Pyrrath (Fire)
Zephyrae (Air)
Tideris (Water)
Crythar (Ice)
Voltaris (Electric)
Astraen (Cosmic)
Lumeris (Light)
Umbrith (Dark)
The Dragons that were the result of the Primascale's creation of this universe are sentient, intelligent and able to do things from being magic wielders to inventing Magitech, from being savage and wild to being educated and they can have many job classes.
The wild Dragons are without a colony but that doesn't always mean they are savage or have to stick with a specific alignment of personality. They can also join to the Shop's colony(s), or can join to a user made colony as well, giving them access to schools and colleges, breeding perks and job classes.
The Dragons can have small stat sheets that users will keep up with in their own journals after they have rolled for the stats, that will aid the Dragons with many aspects.
Each species will have a base set of abilities that go along with their element or heritage to pick from by users which is also noted in their stats and is selected from the Stats rolling thread located HERE! (Stat rolling and Abilities thread)
The Dragons gain the ability of flying once they are in the Teen stage, and thats the age where they are old enough for stats (Providing the user Roleplays. Does not have to be the same dragon, Just any roleplay activity will do) however they aren't the best at it and can't fly for very long periods. (The Astraen and the Zephyrae can float a little bit upon Hatching but not very fast nor very high, maximum of 3 feet)

gaia_diamond Breeding gaia_diamond

All of the species are interbreed-able and depending on what species the parents are, will greatly effect how the babies look and what elements/abilities they have available.
Dragons do not have to be in a Colony or roleplays or have stats in order to breed.
However the Fertility stat greatly helps you get more genetics to come out in the offspring. Without Stats, it is Colorist choice how your babies end up when breeding 2 different species.
Breeding Dragons will yield a basic of 2 offspring even if they are owned by the same user.
Breeding Dragons that are in a colony will give +1 offspring.
Breeding Dragons that have been RPed will give +2 offspring, so if a breeding pair of dragons are in a colony and are RPed, they potentially could have up to 5 offspring! Number of babies are rolled for by the colorist with an automatic +2.
The shop will have breedings in seasons, roughly every 3-4 months.

gaia_diamond Growing gaia_diamond

Once the eggs are dropped by the colorist or an egg is acquired, they grow in the times as follows:
Egg: 2 weeks to hatch into a baby
Baby: 3 weeks to grow into a teen
Teen: 3 weeks to grow into an adult
Adult: Eternal (might make "Elder" Stage later on, haven't decided how they become one yet)
So from start to finish it will take 2 months (8 weeks) total.

gaia_diamond Colonies gaia_diamond
All Dragons that are from Events and customs are Wild and are not automatically part of a colony, you have to join one to have the perks available for being in a colony.
The Shop will own one main colony called the Heartspire that will serve as their "capitol" so to speak.
Later the Shop may make a couple more shop owned ones but the rest of the colonies will be user made.
Colonies yield a +1 to breeding as long as one of the dragons is in one or both are.
Colonies do not give automatic access to jobs, schools and such, you have to have Stats for the dragon to participate in the Arena, Training, Schools and Jobs.

STR: (Strength, effect damage of physical attacks in battles and how much haul you get from mining)
DEF: (Defense, effects how much of raw damage you take from either physical or magical attacks in battles)
STM: (Stamina, effects outcomes of racing either in flight or on foot and yield of crops from farming)
INT: ( Intelligence, effects perception of traps in the gauntlets and outcome of certain job classes)

gaia_diamond Lore gaia_diamond

The beginning:
Before form, before language, before the first flicker of fire or breath of air, there were the Primascales.
They were vast beings of all energy and magic that took any shape they wanted, but they favored the shape of Dragons. They are who created Serathen and all that surrounds it in the cosmos, they created this universe. From their hearts bled fire, from their veins flowed rivers of living magic, from their bones formed earth, stone and steel and from their minds awakened the stars, like chips of diamonds against the swallowing black. When their creating was done they sank into the very heart of the world and merged with it, thus giving forth all life in Serathen. The Primascales did not die, they did not leave but are simply the life-force of this universe. At the place on the planet where they sunk into the world, they left behind a spire of living magic and crystal and it is from that echo that their heirs were born. Thus the first Dragons of Serathen drew breath.

Start of Chaos, result of peace:
When the first dragons of Serathen drew breath, the world was young and filled with power untamed. The aether rivers still surged with the raw pulse of the Primascales’ essence, and every dragon could feel it singing beneath their scales.
They were not fragile or fearful beings; they were born brilliant, curious, and hungry to create. They shaped the land with tooth and flame, built fortresses from glass and crystal, and wove the first instruments of resonance. Each believed their way to be truth that the rhythm of Serathen flowed strongest through them alone.
But ambition is a wildfire.
The dragons soon discovered that to pull upon the aether was to change the world itself. Their experiments deepened the rivers, shifted the skies, and cracked the very mountains they had once raised. Some sought mastery, others balance, and others still sought domination.
The harmony of creation began to unravel. The sky fractured into storms of raw energy. Rivers boiled with magic too dense to contain. The Heartspire trembled, its pulse faltering for the first time since the Primascales had merged with the world.

It was then that ten dragons each from a different lineage, yet all equally attuned to the world’s resonance gathered beneath the Spire’s light. They listened not with their ears but with their cores, feeling the thrum of Serathen’s lifeblood echo through them. For seven nights and seven days they remained still, until their breathing matched the rhythm of the Heartspire once more.
When they emerged, their scales shimmered with the faint glow of its energy. Their voices carried the calm of unity. The others listened, not because they were commanded, but because for the first time in an age, the world itself had stopped shaking.
From that moment, the Aetheric Conclave was born not as rulers, but as interpreters of the Heartspire’s resonance. They did not forbid creation or invention; they merely taught dragons to listen before they shaped, to harmonize before they built.
The world began to heal. The storms calmed, the rivers steadied, and the Heartspire’s pulse grew even once The Dragons then spread out, each guided by curiosity, not conquest. They built libraries and forges, gardens of light and Schools for the young and old. Aether flowed through channels of art, invention, and progress, and Serathen entered what would be known as The Age of Resonance, the current age.
Peace did not come from control. It came from understanding.
Though the Conclave remains as Serathen’s quiet voice of unity, dragons never forgot the lesson of that first chaos.

The Heartspire:
The Heartspire is the site where the Primascales had merged into the magic of the universe and is the main hub.
The Heartspire is not a city per-say , it is a living spire that reaches from the world's core to almost the heavens where the aether veins of Serathen meet. It's spires shift and glow with the flow of elemental resonance, forming halls like crystal, Slivered terraces of scale-shaped glass and caverns deep enough to echo the voices of ages. It is here that many Dragons call home and within its alcoves, they have plenty of room to have their own keeps.
The Heartspire is where all the schools and colleges are, where job classes are assigned and where the arena is (The arena is for PVP friendly gladiator battles). It has libraries, armories, grocers and everything for a society here in one place, busy and bustling with shops that carry trinkets and garments, toys and much more!
In its depths are the ever winding Heart Mines where magical and non-magical ores and crystals are harvested. Veins of gold and pockets of silver, vast caverns of gems and crystals all can be found in the swirling roots of Heartspire.
At it's feet are huge farmlands and ranches where grain, Vegetables, medicinal plants, milk, cheese and other farmed and ranched product is grown and tended to and beyond that are the deep forests where trees are harvested and regrown. (This is the main shop area basically and the primary shop owned colony)

Aetheric Conclave:
A peaceful council of Dragons that help to govern the Dragons and keep the world and all it's life in balance. Without them, the world would have been undone ages ago and are the only "Elders" so far. there are 10 members of the Aetheric Conclave, one from each species of Dragon.

The Arena:

Where Dragons go to test their skills either against one another or in gauntlets, Mazes and Races.

Magic Shop:

A special shop where potions and special items such can be bought for your Dragons. (Will have stuff like forever baby potions, stat raising items ect)
