Dreama was riding her new bicycle through town. Though it heavily cut down on the expenses of the bus and was a more convenient way to travel in the city, it also raised the consumption of time - what did her American cousins; Davie and Dawn call this - Pros and Cons. Too true.
She was riding down to her favorite bakery that a close friend owned, when a car (the driver seemed to be a little drunk), swerved on to the sidewalk and slammed into her - she barely had time to process the event, let alone evade it. Within moments, she was under the car's tires and then the car was gone. Her vision went dark, except for the explosion of stars in her brain. Her consciousness faded in and out as a paramedic team arrived, and carefully lifted on to the stretcher and in the ambulance. She continued to go in and out as they stuck needles into her for IVs and took her vitals. They were talking to her and asking her questions. She couldn't hear them, couldn't focus on what they were saying. She passed out completely as they rushed her to the trauma unit.
She awoke, though not completely, as a doctor (who looked very familiar) checked her eyes with a flash light. She was still groggy, as he spoke to her in a familiar Irish accent. She was in a hospital gown, in a hospital bed, in a hospital bed, and in immense pain.
"Hello," The doctor said to her gently in that familiar accent. "Your friends told me your name is Dreama. I'm Doctor Jaimeson. You are in the Destiny City Hospital. You were in an accident. Can you remember what happened? Do you know your given and surnames?" She blinked at him. It couldn't be possible.
Dr. Jaimeson noted to the nurse next to him, "She's still a little confused. Let's give her-"
"Quinn..." She whispered. "What did you say, Dreama, I couldn't quite hear you?" "Quinn..." She forced herself to say louder. "Oh, is your name Quinn? Interesting that's...." "Your name too.." Dreama forced out. Dr. Jaimeson frowned at her. "How did you know that, Dreama?"
"Because, I'm Kakure..." Dreama passed out from the exertion. Dr. Jaimeson's eyes widened in shock. "Nurse, please contact Dr. Hamilton - the head of our department, and tell him we need a replacement doctor - I cannot work on this patient." He said quietly. The nurse looked at him in confusion - "Doctor Jaimeson - why all of a sudden?"
"Because, she is my sister." The nurse looked at him again, in confusion and asked, "Doctor Jaimeson, if she is your sister - how is that you didn't recognize her at first?"
"Because, I haven't seen her since leaving Ireland, when she was a little girl. She died in a catastrophe there."
The nurse's eyes widened in horror, and she turned to go to Dr. Hamilton, and paused. "Dr. Jamieson," She turned half way to look at Dr. Jamieson - "You know there's going to be trouble, right."
He nodded and sighed. There always was, when you fail to mention your long dead sister, whose death caused you to fake your own death, and flee to another country to start over, because you are terrified to tell your parents....
