Name: Anna Findlay

Nickname: (Optional)

Gender/Pronoun: She/her

Age: 22

Birthday: February 2nd, 2003

Sign: Aquarius

Gemstone: Blue lace agate

Blood Type: O-

Fav. Food: Strawberry scones with strawberry jam

Hated Food: Burgers

School/Occupation: Librarian

Hobbies:

Reading
As can be expected of a librarian, Anna loves reading, and her favorites are fantasy and science-fiction, though she does enjoy historical fiction, some academic texts, and the odd romance novel. She usually has her current reading in her purse (unless it's too big to fit, in which case, she has it downloaded to the Kindle app on her phone!), and often spends her break time at work reading. She would like, once she's more settled at the library, to ask about whether it's okay to leave hand-written recommendations for books she thinks other people might like that haven't gotten as much love. Old favorite is The Last Unicorn, current reading includes the October Daye series and the Stormlight Archives books.

Teas
Anna loves teas, especially herbal teas. She even mixes her own teas, taking time to acquire and prepare the ingredients herself, though she doesn't have the temerity to try offering or selling her mixes to other people. Just the experience of making tea and sitting with her current reading with the tea, or working on a puzzle with the tea, is her idea of an ideal afternoon.

Puzzles
Anna very much enjoys the challenge, and the meditative relaxation, of working on a jigsaw puzzle. She usually does them alone, though she's happy enough to work with other people, Anna just has her own routine for methodically assembling them. Favorite designs are fantasy pieces and puzzles involving interesting or pretty places, though puzzles that are a mishmash of all of the books of a given author are a lot of fun, too!

Scottish Country Dancing
As is typical in Scotland, Anna started learning Scottish country dancing in PE when she was in school, as dancing is considered a form of athletics in Scotland. She fell in love with the complex patterns and social interactions and the music of the dance style, and joined a local class so she could dance even when she wasn't in class! Anna was very happy to find that Destiny City has its own local class, and has joined since moving to the States, where she dances on a weekly basis. She's been considering going for a teaching certificate, but isn't sure she's ready to do so at this time, much as she enjoys helping new dancers find their feet.

Archery
Anna came across archery when she was younger and hanging out with a group of classmates into historical forms of combat. The patience and steady hand needed to aim the bow appealed to her more than other forms of medieval combat, and, even after she stopped hanging out with those classmates, she found that she still rather enjoyed going down to any local archery range she could find to do some shooting, nice, quiet bit of exercise at her own pace to get her mind off what stresses her. Anna tends to visit the local archery range in the early mornings, when it's quiet and not many other people are around.

Virtues: These are positive aspects about your character's personality that affect them on a daily basis, and are things your character could be praised and admired for. These traits shouldn’t be too specific or only manifest in specific situations (such as ‘likes animals’), shouldn’t be overpowered (such as ‘Perfect’), and shouldn’t be based on their physical appearance (such as ‘pretty’). Virtues are things that are directly related to how your character behaves. Traits should be balanced, so all profiles need an equal number of Virtues and Flaws and should not contradict each other.

Polite

Kind

Caring

Example:

Outgoing -- Matt is an outgoing guy. He's always the life of the party, and loves to socialize. He is always eager to make new friends, and he isn’t afraid to try new things. His social battery never seems to deplete, and his kind and carefree demeanor makes him easy to be around. He is always enthusiastic and gives everything his best effort.

Flaws: These are negative aspects about your character's personality that affect them on a daily basis, and are things your character could be disliked or criticized. These traits shouldn’t be too specific or only manifest in specific situations (such as ‘hates kids’), shouldn’t be based on fears (such as ‘afraid of the dark’), and shouldn’t be based on anything that manifests physically (such as ‘clumsy’). Phobias and illnesses (physical or mental) are not viable flaws. Flaws are things that are directly related to how your character behaves. Traits should be balanced, so all profiles need an equal number of Virtues and Flaws and should not contradict each other.

Shy

Insular

Self-Sacrificing

Example:

Forgetful -- Matt can be overenthusiastic and often bites off more than he can chew. He will agree to obligations or plans and completely forget that he’s made a commitment. He can come across as fickle and flaky because it’s never guaranteed that he’ll actually show up. He tends to forget names, dates, and other important things regularly and needs to be frequently reminded about important things. It is easy for him to become distracted and he often jumps from one thing to the next; he can come across as careless and negligent.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Wide emerald green eyes

Hair: Long white hair with long bangs parted in the middle; hair should be bound and wrapped in back like this, leather color and bead material CC

Face: Delicately featured, with a small mouth

Skin Tone: Very pale

Body Type: Short and slender, only about 5', with just enough curve to read as female

Clothes: Usually pale colors or rich emerald or hunter greens; stylistically, simply and elegantly, favoring soft and drapey garments, paired with simple jewelry, flats or low-heeled boots, sometimes topped off with a newsboy cap; in the wintertime, has an array of lambswool scarves

Weapon & Magic

Knights fight with a magical artifact that they can channel magic through once they reach their second stage. This artifact is called a ‘weapon’, though it cannot be bladed or lethal, cannot be anything that could not be reasonably held, and must be a single item. They cannot be a pair of items (such as a pair of gloves) ; magic can only be channeled through one item. As they grow in power, their weapon will grow, and their magic will as well. Knight weapons will have three forms and should always be timeless. These are ancient antiques that have been passed down through each incarnation. At second stage, a weapon can have magic themed on the planetary powers of the world their Wonder is located on. Tips about writing magic can be found below the form!

Page Weapon: Creamy gold alicorn wand with blue ribbons tied around the base to match outfit

Squire: Golden scepter, with shaft of creamy gold alicorn, with blue ribbons tied around the base to match outfit

At this stage the weapon grows into something more useful. It can do damage but it should not be immensely powerful or lethal. From the examples above, a Squire Weapon might evolve into a heavy chain, a dull ceremonial sword, and a pretty flute. You gain access to your magic pool at this stage. Magic is channeled from a pool of energy and can be turned on and off at will. Magic must reflect the power themes of the world the Knight serves. The casting time for Squire magic pool is typically between 30-45 seconds at this stage depending on effects; offensive and debilitating magic will generally have a smaller magic pool, but healing magic, shields, and illusion magic usually have a larger magic pool. Most magic will typically have a range of about ten to fifteen feet at this stage but this may vary depending on effects.

Knight Weapon: Golden scepter, with shaft of creamy golden alicorn, with blue ribbons tied around the base to match outfit; gold studded with pearls and aquamarines and other similarly light blue gems; blue ribbons should be embroidered with wildflowers

At this stage the weapon grows into its final, most useful stage. It can do damage but it should not be immensely powerful or lethal. The weapon can become more ornate, or capable of doing more damage. From the examples above, a Knight Weapon might evolve into a heavy chain with a lantern at the end, a dull, but extravagant ceremonial sword, and an ornate flute.Your magic may become more powerful at this stage, and you gain a longer channeling time. Magic is channeled from a pool of energy and can be turned on and off at will. Magic must reflect the power themes of the world the Knight serves. The casting time for a Knight’s magic pool is typically between 45-60 seconds at this stage depending on effects; offensive and debilitating magic will generally have a smaller magic pool, but healing magic, shields, and illusion magic usually have a larger magic pool. Most magic will typically have a range of about fifteen to twenty feet at this stage but this may vary depending on effects.
