Quote: Oh, Rats (7) : Destiny City is a metropolis, of course there are rats. This is not new, not unusual. Fat little rodents scrounging amongst the abundant scraps of the city are expected. What’s not expected is how destructive they’ve suddenly become. It’s not for a lack of food, there’s still plenty of that. They look like normal rats, but they aren’t stopped by walls, wires, or even steel. They gnaw through everything. Plastic, wood, metal–nothing can stop them. They’ll destroy anything. Pipes, doors, walls, fences. They come and go in a matter of minutes, or hours. Could you chase them away if they came after you? …Would you risk them chewing through you? Even if the lack of felines hadn’t clued her into the fact that she was no longer in the park, Sadalsuud was pretty sure that the lack of well 'park surroundings' would have done the trick.
Well that and the squeaking.
Because squeaking and purring were not even remotely the same thing.
She’d heard about the sudden rat problem that Destiny City seemed to be experiencing, because well honestly who hadn’t.
It had been plastered all over the news, with pictures of damaged pipes and some grainy security cam clips of a partially chewed steel door–
And the worst part was that it didn’t even seem to be hunger driving them, because there was still plenty of that around if the shredded remains of what had once been a market stall of pumpkins that she’d scrolled past on social media were anything to go by.
DC city officials had apparently tried everything from poison, to traps and ultrasonic repellents–
But nothing seemed to work with the rats seemingly coming and going as they pleased.
For her part, Sadalsuud (and to some extent Mi-Hi) had been lucky to not be directly affected by the rat problem–
But as she plucked the remaining remnants of stray leaves from her hair from her earlier leaf pile tumble, Sadalsuud could hear the loud teeth chattering from somewhere up ahead and couldn’t shake the sinking feeling that her luck had suddenly run out.SSBrosB Hope this works as a start and apologies for taking so long to get it up

Bellerophon had heard about the rats from various social-media and the internet in general, but he hadn't been expecting them to be, well, here. He had chosen this area to see if he could gather some energy, but when he saw all of the bites that had been taken out of well, everything. And due to his curiosity of the unknown magic happenings around this place he had to investigate. The area didn't seem to be covered in Chaos aura and he didn't think that the Negaverse had that many cats to be covering them. It wasn't exactly a park area, but it did have some greenery, enough to make giant leaf piles at least, most likely an empty lot? There weren't houses around at least. That didn't really matter to him though, what did matter was the fact that he came upon the rats. They were currently chewing on a rusted car it seemed and without eating the pieces if the small amounts of metal on the ground were anything to go by. And unfortunately that meant accidentally stepping on some of them as well, making a small crunching sound that one could hear if they listened closely. Or had the hearing of a rat. They all seemed to turn towards them, and at that moment he could feel an a fellow Dark Mirror aura as well. "I have got to team up more when gathering energy." He mumbled to himself as he took a step backwards to see if the rats would follow him.

Sadalsuud wasn’t particularly familiar with the part of Destiny City that the strange leaf pile had dumped her in and she was loathe to remain tooo close to the leaf pile that she had tumbled out of–
Which had left pressing on through the tree-lined greenery and hoping that this happened to be one of the corners of DC that had a mirror stashed away somewhere as her only real option.
And she definitely wanted to avoid the source of the teeth chattering sounds. Would count it as a welcome bonus
Her heart sank as the noise only seemed to grow louder with each step, the chittering and clacking echoing through the trees almost as though she were walking towards the source instead of away from it.
A sudden glint of silver caught her eye, her footsteps slowing slightly as green eyes traced over partially chewed branches and scattered fragments of metal.
Silver-coloured metal with teeth marks.
Teeth marks that she didn’t want to think too closely on.
So distracted was she by the disturbing fragments of metal, that it took Sadalsuud a few moments to realise that she wasn’t alone as she finally picked up on the aura of a fellow Court member.
It felt close.
Close enough to suggest that the source of the aura was somewhere nearby.

Bell was still having a staring contest with the rats, taking one step back and watching as the rats moved forward as well. Not as far as him, but enough to show that they were interested. And they clearly weren't going to go away until they nibbled whatever off of him that they wanted. "Well, won't go down without a fight at least." He said before shouting out his attack. "Fire Shout!" And with that he held his mouth close, feeling the heat build up and luckily for him the rats had decided now was the time to attack! And he let out his own attack, letting out a stream of fire and catching as many of the rats that he could. He could hear a few squeaks and saw some running away, but that didn't mean he was out of danger.

As the squeaking grew louder and louder, a strong part of Sadalsuud had wanted to turn back and flee back the way she had come - because she didn’t really want any part in discovering the sound - especially if it turned out to be coming from the rats that had been splashed across the news–
Particularly if it turned out to be the rats splashed out across the news.
Besides she doubted that she’d be of much use against any creature that could apparently chew through metal, whether it be rats or otherwise.
The aura of the other dark mirror senshi gave her pause–
Because whilst there wasn’t a precise method for trying to track auras, it did seem like the other aura was awfully close to the loud chittering.
The part of her that called for her to retreat in the opposite direction pointed out that the owner of the aura was likely far better equipped than her to deal with metal-chewing rats and reminded her that she was hardly the best option for back up–
But another part whispered that that there didn’t seem to be any other auras around, and it wasn’t right to leave a fellow Court member to deal with whatever the source of the squeaking was alone, and in the end it was the latter part that won out - although Sadalsuud just knew that she was going to end up regretting it.
She called on her Super magic, figuring that she do with as much luck as she could get, although there didn’t appear to anyone in the immediate vicinity to hear her speak the words "Clover's Fortune" aloud - and then she had reluctantly continued towards the source of the chittering.
Sadalsuud arrived in time to see what appeared to be a stream of fire taking out a bunch of rats, her hands flailing around uselessly as one dropped out of a nearby tree–
And by all rights the hit should have never connected - but somehow it did and managed to strike the rat with enough force and at the right angle to send it careening into a nearby tree trunk.

The other Dark Mirror aura that he had sensed was now starting to come closer to him and he hoped that it was help, or at the very least not another member getting chased by another group of rats leading them to where he was so that they got even more rats in the same place... His fire ended just in time to see the other Senshi hit the rat into a tree trunk and he couldn't help but laugh a bit at the image. At least, she didn't appear to be trying to hit it but still managing to do so was quite the feat. "Please tell me you didn't bring more rats with you." He said as he took another look at the group that he had run into. Most of them were either unmoving or had run away, but there were still a few left that were still making their way towards the two of them.

Sadalsuud gave a quick shake of her head in response to the other senshi’s question as she flailed out instinctively at another rat that had scurried a little too close for comfort and somehow managed to clip the creature with enough force to send it tumbling into another rat with a thud.
"Uh… no," she admitted, a little breathless as she vaguely gestured in the direction that she had come from "I didn’t see any rats back that way.."
In fact the only rats that she’d encountered so far were from the cluster of them in front of her - although most of them didn’t look like they were about to move anytime soon–
And some of them appeared to be scurrying in the opposite direction to herself and the other Dark Mirror Senshi.
She hesitated, her green watching the retreating shapes for a moment, before adding "But maybe this is a good chance to just let them… Do whatever they’re doing."
Which hopefully meant them continuing to leave.
Because Sadalsuud wasn’t going to fool herself into thinking that those hits had been anything other than accidental–
And very, very lucky.

Bellerophon nodded his head. "You're right. If they're leaving, it's best if we leave as well." He said, making sure there weren't any more rats staring at either of them. "I appreciate the help." And he did, even if it wasn't much, it was at least some backup and she had hit some of the rats, enough apparently to give them the idea that messing with these two Dark Mirror Senshi wasn't a good idea. As much as he wanted to get to know the Dark Mirror that he had never seen before, she was right in the fact that they could come back. It frustrated him a bit, but what could he do? "I'm Bellerophon! If you ever need help just let me know!" He thought that at least would be enough if they ever needed to meet again. He took out his compact and decided that wandering through the city, whether powered or not, just wasn't worth it tonight. "Guess I'll see you later!" He said, before using his compact to mirrorwalk away. litian ending post from me! thank you for the rp!

"Um sure" Sadalsuud said with a smile that was a little awkward - because she wasn’t entirely convinced that she’d been of much help.
Especially since the other Dark Mirror senshi seemed to have had things mostly under control on his own.
Her awkward expression softened, as uncertainty gave way to something warmer and more genuine "Still, it was nice meeting you. Even if the circumstances could’ve been better."
She paused for a moment before adding with a wry twist of her lips "And preferably rat-free."
Even so, Sadalsuud knew that there was a very real chance that the rats might decide to return - and she really didn’t want to be around on her own if that was the case.
As Bellerophon started to disappear from sight, Sadalsuud raised her voice to call out "And I’m Sadalsuud!" Although she wasn't sure whether her fellow Court member had actually heard her.
Either way it had seemed wise to find her own exit, so with that Sadalsuud turned and started back towards the strange leaf pile that had dumped her here–
Because whilst she wasn’t particularly enthused about said leaf pile, Sadalsuud figured that she’d rather take her chances with the leaf pile than with the rats.
