Florian was out again, though right now he was Schwetzingen even if he still had his camera out. Something had shifted in the city, and now that he knew more things existed here that were out of the ordinary, he could tell the night air was full of energy and the hint of something unknown. Turning back, he looked for Kaisariani and snapped a quick little picture with his camera. Another candid shot, his favourite, and he smiled and waved for the other to hurry up and catch up. "I think we can get some nice photos of the trees changing colors if we hurry! It's just the right weather for it, honestly." That last little bit he mumbled mostly to himself, content that it wasn't as cold as it could be this time of year. Feeling something beneath his boot, he stumbled and waved an arm to try and balance himself, but when he shook his head and looked around, the sidewalk and small shrubs that had lined the path they had been walking on were gone. Turning around on the spot, he looked for the other and then noticed the thing he'd stepped on. Picking it up, Schwetzingen rolled it between his thumb and pointer finger as he looked at it. This was definitely not one of the dice he was used to seeing at the nearby card shop, and for a moment, he wondered if he'd just been Jumanji'd.

Angel never turned down a chance to spend time with Florian, even if it was mostly magically inclined. He loved the way his face lit up when he got a good picture or saw something that caught his eye. It made his stupid little heart to backflips, and he wouldn't trade it for the world. Laughing softly as his photo was taken, Kaisariani made his way over towards him. "You'll have to give me a few of the photos then, so i can use them for my paintings. The color play really is lovely this time of year."Catching his arm gently, Kaisariani helped keep him upright. "You okay?" He peered curiously at the die in Schwetzingen's hand, brows knitting. "What's that doing out here...." As he reached over to touch it, everything around them seemed to shift and suddenly they were no longer in the Destiny City they knew. "Well. s**t. This night just got a whole lot longer I think."

More focused on the new area they were in, he could vaguely see a dimly lit path ahead. It looked like a gameboard and at least they were both here. "It looks like one of those gameboards. I think I'm okay and my camera seems okay too. Are you okay?" Looking the other over, nothing seemed out of place but then as they reached out to touch the die, it fell from his hand and rolled across the ground. Without any more notice, a force started to push him back and away from Kaisariani. "What?" More surprised than harmed, he felt himself being shoved further and further with the dice getting yanked along with him. When it finally stoppped and he could see that nothing had happened to the other yet, he went down to grab the dice before something shot out at him. Yanking his arm back, the sleeve sliced through, he whipped around and looked for whoever or whatever had done that. "Something's here! I don't see it though..." Keeping his attention on the area around him as he moved, another burst of air shot past him and he noticed the slightlys glint of light off it, realizing it was some sort of string. "Can you get through?" Calling out, he tried not to move as he heard more of that shrill sound but nothing else had hit him yet. Quote: Space 6: You hear a shrill, humming noise; it sounds almost like something is firing past you–and sometimes, you even feel a sharp burst of air, like something has just missed you. Maybe, even, it does get a slice out of you. Sharp, bladelike threads seem to string up around you; you’d best be careful not to get cut on any of them between now and your next dice roll.

Quote: Space 5:A dog barks, fierce and frightening. You can hear its growl and the hackles stand up on the back of your neck. You can practically feel spittle on you. It’s close. And it’s big. And it’s angry. If this beastly dog could reach you, no doubt it would try to tear you to shreds. As Schwetzingen was yanked forward, Kaisariani reached a hand out towards him only to be stopped by some sort of invisible barrier around the square he still stood on. "What the hell?" As he pushed harder against the barrier, he heard the other knight call out to him. "Be careful, I'm coming when this damn thing will let me." As he spoke, the dice manifested in his hand. Scowling at it, Kaisariani rolled it a bit more aggressively than need be, and he felt himself being compelled forward as well, stopping on the square just behind Schwetzingen. The hair on his arms stood on end as he heard barking and growling, though nothing seemed to actually attack him yet. "Looks like we have to roll til we reach the end. Be careful, okay?" The concern in his voice was clear, and all he wanted was to be able to stay by Schwetzingen's side and protect him.

At least as Kaisariani managed to get closer, he could see them. But the fact that they couldn't cross through the squares outside of what the dice result was made this frustrating. With all the strings around him, it was hard to roll, but as soon as the die hit the floor, all of them vanished, and he felt that very rude force shoving and pushing him forward. When it stopped, Schwetzingen was confused by the smell and turned to look back. "Do you smell that?" And with a shift of his foot, the ground started to swallow him slowly. "Quicksand? Or maybe peat? It's cold!" Whining a bit at how gross it felt. But he couldn't panic; if it was like things in the movies, he just had to be careful, and if things happened like before, he just had to find the die in this muck and roll it to reset it all. Though that was easier said than done, as he made a face at the cold mud as he sank further while trying to wade through it to find the die. Quote: Space 10: A swampy smell fills the air. You take a step, and you seem to sink into it. Mud creeps over your feet, and you sink rapidly. Ankle deep, knee deep. Whether or not you squirm and fight against it, you are sinking. The mud is crushing and painful, and if you sink too deep it steals the breath from your lungs. There’s nothing to grab onto; you have to roll your dice quickly before that too gets sucked into the muddy quicksand.

Rolling again, Kaisariani breathed a sigh of relief as he found himself beside Schwetzingen this time. "Go ahead and roll, I'm right behind you okay?" Reaching over, Kaisariani gently squeezed his shoulder and gave him a warm smile. It would be okay, they would make it through this in one piece. They had to, right?

It was a relief that when Kaisarianni entered the square, they could actually interact. Part of him wondered if whatever weird invisible walls might separate them, but with a touch to his shoulder, he nodded and finally managed to get a grip on the die and roll it. Even if he couldn't see the results beneath the muck, it finally freed him, and he managed to stumble forward. Not as far as he had hoped, but with a step, the ground gave way a bit, and he couldn't help the yelp that came out as he tried not to fall on the shifting ground. Seeing something moving below, he jolted up and looked back. "S-spider." While he wanted to yell, it came out more as a squeak as he tried to find someplace he could roll the die without it getting stuck to the web like his shoes had. Quote: Space 14: The ground is sticky. You land on this and immediately dip, as though you’ve stepped on a trampoline. Close inspection reveals that you are standing on an intricately woven web–and your shoes are stuck. And something is skittering just on the horizon.

Quote: Space 15:Bats. Maybe you missed them attacking earlier, but they’re back again, and angrier than ever. Instead of just screeching or scratching, they’re swooping down and biting now–and the effects are instantaneous. The little teeth are sharp and painful, but once bitten you might feel agitated and prone to violence, and you might feel perpetually cold and hungry with no relief in sight. The effects might last when you leave the square–or they might linger for a few hours or days after you get out of here. Kaisariani tried not to find the help his fellow knight made adorable. Truly. He really tried. But even in a situation such as this, he couldn't help the tiny little smile. As he felt the dice return to his hand, Kaisariani managed to roll and felt himself freed from the muck around him, being drawn forward. As he entered a new square, just one ahead of Schwetzingen, he frowned. What did this square have in store? Feeling something swoop past his face, Kaisariani let out a help of his own. "s**t! Bats!" He did his best to swat them away with his stick, but even with his best efforts he still felt the sharp little teeth digging into his skin. "Crap that hurts!!!!!"

After carefully rolling the die, banking it off the thin edge of the square before the web started, he hurried forward even before that burst of force hit him. It was a shorter distance than before but he had managed to see the other for one moment as they yelled about bats. When he tried to turn, that wall stopped him and shoved him just that last little bit. "What do you mean, bats? Oh gosh, we'll need to get you a rabies shot!" Even if it might be magical, or whatever it was, he knew that rabies was serious. The shots weren't a walk in the park either, but he'd had to deal with them before, after a trip with his parents to South America. Stepping back, he heard a crack, and then things started to shift. At first, it felt like he was standing on a moving platform, at least until that too cracked and he dropped into the cold water below. Another shriek at the change in temperature and how sharply the icy water bit at him, given the fact that he was still wet from the muck from before. Holding onto the edge of the ice, he kicked his feet to keep above water as he tried to figure out how much space he had to roll the die again. Quote: Space 16: As you step into your square, something cracks. At first, you can’t tell what it is, but as your full weight moves onto the square, the ground shifts beneath you. It’s cold, and it’s ice, and a hole falls underneath you, plunging you into frigid waters. There’s enough floating ice that you should still be able to roll the dice to get out of here, but you have to go quickly–you’re soaked, in chilly water, and something just swam by your feet.

Quote: Space 20:The end; once you have arrived here you are free to leave. You will see be basked in the glow of a beautiful, opalescent aura that will take you back home. If you arrived with a guest, you can leave without them or choose to stay until they make it to the end as well. When you arrive back in Destiny City, you may choose to keep the six sided die–if nothing else, it’s pretty! Though, it doesn’t seem to have any magical qualities, that might be for the best. Chills ran through his body as he smacked away a few more bats. "Not sure they have shots for magically summoned bats, Schwetz." He gave the other an apologetic, gentle smile despite the pain and chills. "Don't worry about me, alright? You just focus on keeping yourself safe." Because to Angel, Florian being safe through all of this was the far more important goal. Managing to roll again, Kaisariani breathed a sigh of relief as he got away from the angry, bitey creatures, and was relieved further still when he found himself at what appeared to be the exit. "You're almost there, okay? I'm staying right here waiting for you." As he stood at the end waiting, Kaisariani rubbed his arms in an attempt to get warm, though the chill refused to leave.

Even if they couldn't see him, he still made a face at the magical bat comment. Neither of them knew if it did things like regular bats, so it was better to get looked at if you asked him. Throwing the die over the ice flow, the feeling of cold water vanished, and he found himself on solid ground as he moved forward. He was closer to the end but not quite there; maybe it was because of all the unsteady places he had to roll the die on. Sighing slightly once it stopped, just a few more squares short, he coughed as the air he breathed felt toxic. It wasn't like anything he'd smelled before, but it felt dangerous, and he pulled his sleeve over his face slightly to try to breathe through it to hopefully filter out whatever it was. At least that was the plan before he saw that the fabric of his outfit was breaking down, sending a panic through him as he worried if that meant they'd see more than he wanted anyone to see of him. Moving towards the far side of the square, he looked down and saw the skin on his arm and hand moving on their own, sliding off with a mess of rotten liquid. Gagging, he closed his eyes and remembered the die, tossing it again and hoping this was fake too. Part of him wasn't sure, considering the muck and water had effected him and he still felt chilled to the bone. Quote: Space 18: You smell something poison, something noxious. You pass through a haze of strange, green gas as you enter the square, but it fades after a few seconds. You feel cold. You feel empty. You start to decay. Maybe a part of you knows it’s an illusion, but in that split second when your body feels like it might go limp and when you look at your hand and see skin melting. You see bone. You’d best roll the dice so you don’t wind up a skeleton prop for the next player.

"Schwetz? Hey, what's going on, are you okay??" Kaisariani pushed against the barrier of the square as anxiety and worry courses through him. "Florian, what's going on?"

He heard Kaisariani, but he didn't want to say anything just yet as the air cleared and he got shoved forward. This time, his feet couldn't keep up, and he stumbled forward and fell into them. Looking down at his arm first, at least as much as he could see, he was a bit horrified to see that his sleeve had, in fact, melted, but other than that, his skin looked fine. Startled for a second time, he looked up at Kai. "Nobody heard that right?" There were so many things going through his head right now, but with all the bright light in this square, it was hard to focus on any one thing. "I think we can get out of here now..." Though he made no real effort not to be slumped into them. Hopefully, it would keep them distracted enough not to look too much into the fact that there were holes in his uniform. Quote: Space 20: The end; once you have arrived here you are free to leave. You will see be basked in the glow of a beautiful, opalescent aura that will take you back home. Strong arms wrapped around Schwetzengen, holding him protectively. "No, it's just us here...." His heart was beating far too hard in his chest for his comfort as he held the smaller knight for a moment longer before cupping his face in his hands to look him over. "Are you hurt anywhere?" He stepped back just a tiny bit to look him over a bit better, how brow knitting as he noticed scars showing through one of the holes melted into his fuku. "C'mon. My apartment isn't too far from here. We can take a breath there, alright? I'll make some tea or something to help both of us calm down."
