Under different circumstances Sailor Bacchus might have recognized the dangers inherent in picking up mysterious, magically compelling items. He might have walked past the strange die lying on the ground, at least he would have liked to believe that. But, his condition being what it was, there was little he could do beyond snatching up the curious trinket.
As the world shifted around him the deep space senshi’s head whipped back and forth, his mind fumbling for some handhold he could grasp in this strange darkness. The path put out before him was clearly the course intended by whoever created this place and with a defiant huff he turned away, attempting to return the way he’d come and repeating the process in as many directions as he could upon failing. That he’d been expecting some obstacle did nothing to reduce his anger at meeting an invisibly resistant wall. He was the ******** plaything of some spiteful entity and it seemed like the only way out was through. If he had his way, they’d be getting a visit as soon as he managed to free himself.

Grudgingly, he crouched low and dropped the die onto the ground before him. Two. As he stepped forward, he wondered what the rules of this stupid piece of s**t bullshit fish ******** game were.
A sharp impact to his back knocked the air from his lungs, “Piss rotting spore p***k!” He whirled around, disconcerted to find no one there. “You’re just making this worse for yourself once I get out of here!” With a scowl, he rolled the die a second time.

As a dense fog rolled in Bacchus felt his heartrate increasing, he couldn’t tell if . “Of course, why not!” If anyone outside of this strange pocket of reality could hear him, they gave no sign. He raised both of his middle fingers in what he understood to be an insulting human gesture, holding his arms out in the hopes of ensuring that any observers could see his disdain.

Bacchus released a startled hiss as something flew past him and immediately clenched his jaw in disgust that he would allow anything like this to get to him.

The arrival of a cloud of screeching little shitheads could have been amusing if Bacchus wasn’t trapped in a square with them. Did things actually live in this midden heap? Swatting them away as best he could without slapping them out of the air, he ignored the series of scratches on his neck and arms as he rolled the die once more.

Mercifully, the flying assholes didn’t follow Bacchus as he progressed along the stupid path through the stupid darkness. Something as mundane as territorial animals was almost a relief in the face of invisible assailants. Whatever reprieve the place might have granted him in the form of angry little beasts ended sharply with the sound of an otherworldly howl. Then another. Then another.

Bacchus had smelled a lot worse than this green gas, but that didn’t mean that he enjoyed the experience. If that and a bit of cold was the worst this square had to offer, he had it easy. He liked the cold, at least he normally did. It was certainly better than the oppressive wet heat this city greeted him with all too often. Still, his arm and hand ached worse than usual in the chill and he absently rubbed his wrist in the hopes of banishing the pain. A gleam of white through the grey of his skin was enough to draw an entirely dignified and courageous not quite shriek from within the senshi. The horrifying possibility that he’d somehow brought it with him. That it had somehow lain dormant for months. That being on Earth had stripped him of his immunity. His lungs felt as though they were collapsing in on themselves within his chest. It wasn’t ******** fair. All this time and now? He rolled the die and almost prayed that leaving the square would save him.

Then, somehow, it was over. Engulfed by light, Sailor Bacchus found himself back on the street from which that stupid little cube had snatched him. Though there was no sign of the person who had set all of that up, that wouldn’t stop him from searching the bloody place to be sure.
