He'd been getting better with understanding the language, the books Pippa had gotten him helped alot, as he'd gotten good at going about the city unnoticed so he could observe and listen to people. He let people think his ears, and his tail, were some sort of fashion choice...a bad one according to some people. Anything which would allow him to wander about, not powered up, so he could work on his language skills. It seemed his poor language skills, and tendency to use his hands to communicate, had encourged people to think he was just some odd child and not some threat much less what he really was - an ancient alien. Lucky for him though, because apparently some people knew about alien senshi being here, he'd learned to keep to the shadows as much as he could so he wasn't noticed by many.
Tonight was another night out, this time he had a hat on his head, his ears weren't pleased as they were pressed down to his head. He knew he needed to cover his ears though, he'd been hearing that lately, buit he didn't like staying in at night. He was comfortable at night, he was used to it, he just wished he was doing something which would build up a sweat so the chill wasn't so bad.
Sighing as he moved around dark alleyways his ears flickered, tail twitched, he was on alert as usual while moving about the city. This place was slowly becoming more and more familiar...it was just taking time. All things took time however and tonight he was powered up, maybe he could finally deal with a youma...he had heard about them, from that little senshi.

Keeping his ears hidden under his little shawl, Feronia looked around and explored further from the forest where the cabin was. While he could hide as a human, he still didn't like that kind of deception just yet. At least while he was out looking for things, too. Noticing what felt like something similar to Antisana, he followed behind until he spotted a man in a hat, but as he got closer, he noticed they had a tail. "Oh! Hello." He piped up as he closed in and stood near them. "Are... you from somewhere else too?" Asking quietly as he pulled the shawl from his head to let his ears poke up. They twitched with curiosity as he looked up at them.

He'd felt them like they'd felt him so he wasn't surprised by the approach, even if their appearence did surprise him. His tail moved, and his hat was removed slowly. Fluffy ears flickered once free, they were not comfortable under a hat, he doubted he could convince Pippa or her brother to cut up some hats for him.
"Yes." Because of course he was, and he understood the question now, having been asked similar a few times now, he also was certain the other was not from here...not with those ears. Though they also looked like some animals here, he himself did as well though, but the colors were wrong. He looked closer to an animal on this planet, which he still felt odd over, it was so strange knowing an animal with his features exsisted somewhere else...and yet it wans't human and couldn't talk and walk like he did. Was it just a matter of them not having the evolution chance that his people had gotten? He doubted it, he didn't htink his people could have evolved so much....plus nothing in the histories said as much.
In the time spent alone he'd done a lot of work on bettering himself, including reading and learning, and he knew his peopels history now...inside and out really. He'd put all the time he'd had to good use, to help himself, he was the only one left after all. Though he still wasn't sure what he thought on that matter...this emotions and thoughts were so mixed and muddled.

Watching with curiosity as they took their hat off, he offered a little bow of introduction. "I'm Feronia. What's your name?" Another flick of his tail as he looked them over, his eyes caught on the complicated pattern of their outfit. "Have you been here long? Oh, is that rude to ask?" Fretting slightly as his ears drooped. "You don't have to answer that if you don't want to." After all, they had been hiding their ears much like he had been doing, so it was probably to keep others from bothering him or thinking him odd.

Between the words, the question, which he'd heard before and the bowing the ancient senshi understood what was being asked easily. Nodding his head he managed a barely there smile, something that only just turned the corners of his lips upwards. "Athebyne." The word, his name, came with ease though it wasn't a name he'd ever used in the past...not when there were others alive on his planet, no one had ever called him that. He was Rowan, and that wasn't even always used address him. He was getting used to his senshi name though, had been using it, had used it here and there when alone on his home planet even. He'd been testing the name out for a while now, on and off, though honestly he did prefer Rowan...it was more comfortable and perhaps a bit more personal? He didn't feel like Athebyne./..there was no connection to the name really.
"No...new here." He answered slowly, staring at the other. "Few...ummm...weeks?" Weeks right? He was getting used to the passage of time here, how thigns ran, as well as the words he used. Few meant one thing while couple meant another, though people used couple in place of few and didn't seem to notice, it was hard to understand at times when he couldn't tell if people meant what they said. There were pitches and tones to take into account as well as words thrown around, like couple for more than two. Pushign the thoguht aside, for now, he would figure this language out if nothing else. It just needed time - he needed time. He'd do it, he was good at leasrning.

"Oh! Athebyne, I'll remember that." With a quick little nod, he perked back up and listened to them as they spoke. He noticed the slowness and pauses, but didn't interrupt or bring anything up about it since he knew every other planet could differ in language. Thinking about the amount of time, he tried to gauge the amount of time he'd been here as well. Things were different here, and he wasn't quite used to the passage of time exactly, since it seemed so much faster than back on his planet. "I believe I may have been here only a little bit longer than that? I hope you have someone to help. Have you found a mauvian yet?" Looking around, he was glad nobody else had shown up, but he still wanted to be cautious just in case.

"Help yes...mauvian...." Mauvian....had someone mentioned them to him? He didn't think so, didn't think that was a familiar word. "No." After a moment of compilation. He'd heard Negaverse and youma though, would the other have heard those terms? Was this mauvian just asimportant and in what manner was it important? Were they something to avoid, or a someone, or were they good? Another thing to find out about, a piece of an ever growing pile really.
"Little longer...ok. So new too." His English was stilted, at best, and jerky but at least when he spoke the words made sense, even if he might be missing some words here and there. He was hesitant, getting used to the mouth feel of the words, but it wasn't too bad. As he noticed he wasn't messing up, through each conversation he had, he was getting more confident in himself. Soon he'd have a better handle on the language. The books were helping - a lot. But he was still working on it, some words were just not so easy to form....some letters difficult on the tongue.
And to think this planet had several languages, from what he could gather, he'd heard what he knew were other languages from the common one spoken here in this city. He would be avoiding that, learning any other language, because that would simply be too much for him.

Tilting his head and ears as they spoke, at least one of their issues had been solved. "Help is good, mauvians can help more, ask who's helping you about them, okay?" With that, he nodded to himself and tapped at his chin slightly. A sound nearby had him startle slightly, though, and he nudged the other lightly on the arm. "Walk with me? In case someone sees us?"
Then they could also continue talking, which might help the other figure things out. Keeping his ears up and listening, he wanted to make sure he heard anyone coming, just in case. So far, all the humans he had met were alright, but that didn't mean there weren't ones out there that were mean.

Nodding his head, slowly, the brunette knew help was good and he needed as much of it as he could get. This planet, this city, kept just shoving more and more things at him which he needed help with understanding and continued to point out things he needed to learn. There was a near endless list of such things. He just wished there wasn't so much. Nodding his head to the request he followed at the others side, taking the time to look them over, there was something there..something interesting and settling.
This planet was a busy one, lots of things going on, and he kept picking up on the various sounds. If his hearing was at it should be, which it was far from, he knew he'd be distracted and looking all over the place. This was one moment where he was glad his hearing was dulled.
Stuffing his hands into the pockets on his shorts he followed.
