Athebyne had been stuck alone for so long, he’d lost track of time, at first it hadn’t been bad. But he supposed all good things came to an end, at least he thought so, and the alone time away from his oppressors which had been much enjoyed had soon enough soured. There was no one…and nothing.
He’d never had much, only what he’d been permitted, but even that was no longer available to him. He’d found ways to pass the time, pillaging homes for materials, he’d spent his time melting down gold so he could make new jewelry while stones were removed and refitted to new pieces. He’d honed the skills growing up but now he was mastering them, looking at pieces made by the hands of others, he copied designs and changed things as he saw fit. He wasn’t idle in any respect as this wasn’t the only thing he spent his time doing.
Wood carving was another skill he’d had, only so he could fit gemstones into carvings, and now he’d had to time to make more intricate work and fit those redone pieces with new stones and in new places. He’d worked on tables and chairs among other things. There wasn’t a moment spent awake that he wasn’t busy doing something to improve himself.
Books, once off limits to him, were gone through and poured over as he learned and taught himself things which he’d have never had access to - because he was male. He read about his people, about their history, and about deals with other planets. There were stories, stories mothers told their daughters, and more which he filled his time with.
It was a normal day, spent working on a bracelet for himself, he had made himself plenty more at this point, the metal was just being removed from its mold when Athebyne felt it. A wave of energy unlike anything he’d ever felt, something not from this dead husk of a planet, and it spoke of promise. His ears perked up and a smile appeared on his face, the first in some time, something big had happened and it whispered promises to the ancient senshi.
Grabbing things off his desk as he stood he started throwing things into a bag he grabbed. It was what he normally carried around with him when looking for jewelry in homes that he could repurpose. Now he flung his tools into it as well as what he was working on, the stones he planned to use as well, before gathering more things.
With his bag full to the point he could barely close it, it was bulging with items he’d thrown into it, he finally reached with all his might and hope for that energy. Let it do what it wanted, take him away from here, he couldn’t continue living here. There was nothing left here on this dead planet.
Where he arrived he didn’t know but falling through the night sky, plummeting towards the ground, was not something he was expecting or how he wanted to escape from his own home planet. Rather than scream, because he did want to, he bit down on his bottom lip hard enough for it to bleed. Held tight to his chest was his bag, not that it would matter when he was going to die, but he wasn’t going to let it all fall from his bag either way.

Chillingham had been out on patrol and was more interested in looking up at the night sky and all the bright stars than looking at the ground nearby. Usually, it was something she might get scolded slightly for since she had her sights on something not directly nearby, and things could get dangerous if she wasn’t paying attention. But tonight she thought maybe it was a good idea for her to be looking because out of nowhere, she thought it looked like a silhouette was falling and blocking out stars in her sight as it came down.
They’d blinked into existence almost, something she didn’t think on now as she started moving. Whoever it was seemed to be falling fast, and she needed to see what she could do to help them. At least it looked like they were coming down in the thick of the trees, something she hoped might help them not splat on the ground. Just that idea made her shiver and had her face turning green, but she hurried faster and took her coat off to sort of use it as something to catch them in on the way down.
Nothing felt bad about them at least, so it wasn’t one of the bad businessmen but she didn't get much time to think more on it as she heard the first crash through the tree tops and paced in the area she thought they might end up in.
“Ah!” I’ve got ya! I think!” Calling out as she kept at the ready to move, she looked up and scanned the trees.

He could feel something, he didn’t know just what though, as he hit the first tree and yelped in pain, and even some surprise, the branches gave with more ease than he expected. The trees of his word, the one he was named for, was far more solid and less likely to give even when hit with such weight falling on its branches. The tree was sturdy and ashy gray in color, it looked like it was what remained of a burnt tree, it was found all over his homeworld standing strong and sturdy.
As more branches, twigs, and sticks broke under his body the male tried to curl into himself while his arms made to cover his face. Shouting, yelping, as things poked into him and scratched at his skin. A curse, something in his own language, as he felt one particularly thick and sharp branch stuck at him. He could feel some blood as he heard a voice, someone shouting something…to him maybe? He wasn’t sure, didn’t understand the language, but soon he saw a person and they had some fabric out to try and ease his landing.
And then he hit the fabric and them…and he was shouting again.

With the little bit of a boost she had while powered up, Chillingham managed to sort of catch him, even if it ended up with her on the ground under the now screaming person and her coat. She couldn’t really get up but she leaned her head up and tried to blink away the stars.
“Ow… are you okay? Shhh, Shhh, someone might hear you!” Trying to keep calm, she noticed the blood and scratches and things stuck all over him. There were leaves and branches stuck in their hair and clothes, and she wiggled slightly to get enough of herself up to sit and look at them.
Already, she was pulling the little first aid kit out of her subspace as she tried to settle this person down. They had a bump under some of the leaves stuck in their hair, but she didn’t wanna touch anything just yet. “You’re okay! I promise, please calm down, or one of the bad guys might come, and I don’t want to get in troubleeeeee.”

While he didn’t understand a single word she spoke the tone, and way she spoke, said enough and he did go silent. Though he was still breathing harder than was normal, the rush from the fall and sudden landing, he was on some strange planet that seemed to be filled with people if what he’d caught glimpses of were anything to go by.
Noting he was on top of the figure, though still unsure what he was sensing from them, he shifted to get off them. A whispered apology while he kept his head bowed and eyes on the ground. The senshi had, despite pain and protesting limbs and body, made himself small as sat on the ground with his hands folded into his lap while waiting to see what would happen next. He had landed on her, and it was most certainly a female, and he’d likely hurt her as well. That wouldn’t go well for him, he was certain of it, and silently he waited to see what she’d do next.
His tail hung down, touching the grass behind him, ears tilted as he sat there looking as small as he could manage.

Once they got off her, she made sure to look over them as she started to carefully pull the twigs and branches from their hair. Noticing the ears, she blinked and then rubbed her eyes. “Oh! Oh! You’re like Tianyi! Oh, cripes, you’ve come from somewhere far, haven’t you?”
Something about them seemed like they were sad or scared, which, if they’d really fallen from space, made perfect sense. “Oh! Uh…. I’m Chillingham! Can you talk?” Trying to keep the quickly growing bubble of questions at bay, she focused on trying to dab at the scrapes and scratches she could see as they seemed to shrink more in on themself.

The fact a person was tending to him was unexpected, to add to it they were female, and it had him nervous and seriously considering pulling away and apologizing. For what he’d be apologizing he didn’t know, but did he really need a reason to apologize? He was certain he didn’t and so he did manage an apology, and a bow of his head, though he was certain she wouldn’t understand what he was saying. But when words passed her lips, what he thought might be a name, he nodded his head a bit. It wasn’t in answer to the question, as he didn’t know what it was, but rather to acknowledge what he was certain was a name of some sort.
“Athebyne…” Came the whispered response, and he did hope he was right in assuming what she’d said. If he was right then it was more than proper, and expected, he give his own name in return.
Reaching up to pull some leaves from his hair, a twig from his tail, he let the bits of nature fall to the ground behind him. Slowly he lifted his head, hoping he might be able to communicate with looks and gestures, as he pointed around them whilst giving a curious look…and shrugged his shoulders. A jerk of his head before tilting it, hoping again to get the message across, where were they? What planet was this. This wasn’t going to be easy, he knew, but he was hopeful that maybe he’d get told where he was at least. He wasn’t expecting much, he was certain he didn’t deserve much anyway, but at least knowing where he was should be understandable and reasonable.

The name they’d said had been spoken so quietly she’d almost missed it between the sound of crickets and night birds. But when she realized he had in fact said something, she tried to mumble the name back. It sounded odd but then again maybe wherever they were from wasn’t someplace that spoke a close enough language. It was only the second time she was meeting an alien so maybe not all of them spoke what people here spoke.
When he finally looked up some and started to gesture and look around, she tilted her head in response as she tried to puzzle out things. It took her a minute or two to guess that he was asking where this was and when it hit her she pressed a palm to her forehead and laughed. “Oh! This is Earth. You really aren’t from here are you Athebyne? Is that where you’re from too?” Speaking a little slower so he might be able to understand, she finished up with the wipes and bandaids before dusting her hands off on her pants.
“I can help you out if you want? My brother and I have a biggggg place so it’ll be okay!”

Another curious, if not confused, look settled onto his features before he repeated his name, the name of his home, and pointed up to the night sky as he did so. His home was up there - in space. Here though, he pointed towards the ground and spoke softly. “Earth…” He hadn’t heard of Earth, but that wasn’t a surprise, he didn’t know about other places in the cosmos. He’d never been taught such things, he’d only ever learned skills he needed, but at least there was a name to put to this place.
Pointing to his own mouth he tapped his lips before shaking his head. He could have, should have, pointed to her mouth but he didn’t…he couldn’t, it would be rude and offensive even. But he needed her to know he did not speak the language she did…that he couldn’t understand much of what she said. This wasn’t going to be easy, none of it would, and he knew that He just needed to make this as easy as possible, so he could get help and learn what he needed to, he would need to survive here…on Earth.
Pointing around them, to this planet and this city, he shook his head then…and shrugged for good measure. He had nowhere to go here…would she understand that? Or did he even need to tell her that, she knew he wasn’t from here.

With more confusion on their face, she scrunched hers up in confusion as well. This was going to be harder if she wanted to help. So for a moment she leaned back and looked up at the sky as she thought. With the gestures he was making, she got the idea that he didn’t know where things were or where to go, but it also seemed like he hadn’t understood what she was saying either.
After a moment, she snapped her fingers and brightened back up with a smile. Pulling her little homework notebook out of subspace, she set it down between them and started to doodle. It wasn’t great, drawing wasn’t something she did much other than scribbling but she drew two stick figures, one with ears and a tail, and the other looking like her with her hair up.
Pointing down at the stick figure that was meant to be him, she then pointed to them and said.
“You.” And then she pointed to the other person, who was her before pointing to herself. “Me.” Then, with a nod, she drew an arrow pointing towards a little house and another doodled figure that was her brother. “Home with me and brother?” Looking back up after her scribbling, she hoped he might understand.

Watching her, curious but also with a large amount of caution, as she pulled something out of nowhere the senshi watched her work. It wasn’t until she was done, and pointing at things while speaking, that he took the time to mimic her. “You.” He said, with some hesitation on the word, before pointing to her. “Me…” And pointing to himself. Learning the language here was going to take time, he knew it, but he was more than willing to put in the work…it was needed as far as he could tell.
“Home?” He questioned pointing to the house, assuming things by the order in which she was pointing to things. “Brother.” Then he pointed to the figure. The way she spoke said maybe it was a question, something she was asking him, and deciding it seemed ok he nodded slowly. The word home wasn’t what his people used, for the same thing, but the picture gave him an idea of what she meant. “Home.” He’d let her lead the way, as he let every female led him, and he’d hope for the best…because what else could he do?
Whatever this home was, wherever it was in this gigantic city, he would follow because he couldn’t be on his own. He could learn from her, at least it seemed like that, and he could hope she would help him…even if she had no reason to help him.
