With many of the season's cubs growing beyond the requirements of a nanny, Ayana had suddenly found herself with quite a bit of extra time. It was a welcome change. Though she loved the youngsters, caring for them every day took every bit of her attention. It was nice to not have to think about anything more than her own desires as she wandered alone towards her favourite spot.
Here the wildflowers grew in abundance, a joyous splash of bright colours. Ayana arrived with the midday sun and found a nearby acacia tree to sprawl beneath, lazily flicking away any inquisitive insects as she admired the view. Just a little piece of paradise.
