Totoro had been heading home when he felt an aura of another order senshi. He wasn't sure why but he was quite curious to see who it belonged too because it felt like the energy signature was in a construction area.
The super chibi paused looking around outside the alley way that lead to the area. Should he take a chance and go check it out? Or assume it was an adult and it was fine, they knew what they were doing and since he was a kid he should probably stay out of it?
Granted there were no other energy signatures around that he could feel. So he inhaled sharply before making up his mind and hopped over the fencing meant to keep people out of the alleyway and any of the construction area to see who was there. Maybe they were tracking youma?
When he stepped out of the alleyway into the construction zone he looked around and then called out, "Hello? Anyone there?" He wasn't sure quite where the owner of the aura was.

Ears flickered as Athebyne wandered around the construction site. He'd found himself here purely by mistake, he understood where he was and what was going on here, but how he'd gotten here was almost a mystery. He knew he'd walked here but he'd just been walking without purpose really, there hadn't been a real reason.
He couldn't smell, or hear, as well as he once could. It seemed that arriving here had robbed him of both senses, as well as having better eye sight, but it was stil decent he thought as he sniffed about. This place smelled of the usual building materials, no surprise there, but nothing else really. Stepping out from behind some pillars, glancing about, he could feel something...it was like that knight but it wasn't the same...not really.
With a curious tilt of his head he stepped out into the open to see if he could find the source of it, see who else was here, and wandering a bit and kicking a few bits of rock led to him seeing a figure. "Senshi?" He questioned, calling out for the other to hear him, the word was forigne to him and a bit akward on the tgongue but he knew it was right. His right hand came up and held to the scarf about his neck lightly, a comfort thing, as he stood there watching them and waiting for a responce...even if he was liekly to not understand it all.

Totoro heard someone and turned to find a senshi that was interesting. They had asked senshi and he nodded, "Yes!" The chibi said with a smile.
He wondered if they were new, because it seemed like they were one of the deep space senshi he'd met before, or at least the ears and tail seemed to make him think that's what this senshi was. "I'm Totoro. What's your name?" He asked he was curious did all deep space senshi speak English? Or was he in for something he'd have to try and figure out ways to communicate but just in case he made sure to point to himself when he said his name and then point to the other when asking their name.
He shifted in his racoon themed fuku and debated on pulling down the hood so the other could see his face better. He looked around the construction site and wasn't sure why the other was here either -- but at least it didn't seem to have any youma in the area so it was safeish to talk.

Watching the figure the dark haired senshi moved closer, cautious, as he stepped over rocks and avoided a bit of metal laying on the ground. He didn't want to trip, or somhow fall, the ground didn't look all that safe as there was no telling right might be right under the surface level...bits of metal or other things. Nope, he'd like to not risk getting hurt.
Pointing to himself he spoke out, not having to raise his voice as he gotten close enough so he wouldn't need to. "Athebyne." An ear flicker as a fly went by, just close enough to graze his ear, it was a nice warm night tonight and he had to hope this was normal weather for this planet. If it was, and he did hope it was, he'd be comfortable living here at least. He couldn't imagine if it was colder, he'd like it if it was warmer infact, his home planet was rather hot and often lacking in rain and water of any sort...unless it was taken from deep under ground and piped up for people to use.
He could only guess, based on what little time he'd been living on this planet, that water was far easier to come by. He'd yet to see rain though...but maybe that was common here? Maybe not. It was one of many things he had to learn about this place. He also had to get used to the bugs here...like that fly, it had been rather large.

Totoro smiled when the other came over to him and introduced their selves, "Nice to meet you Athebyne." Totoro stumbled over the name slightly and wrinkled his nose.
"Were you looking for something here?" He asked curiously, wondering if the other had followed a youma or something here. But then again he didn't feel any youma present, he shifted his weight before posing the next question, "Can we go somewhere safer to talk?"
He then pointed towards an area that looked like it away from construction debris. While he didn't necessarily mind talking here the chibi was concerned with all the construction debris around and didn't want to accidentally end up ambushed by some youma.

Not understanding the words, not really, the hyena did understand when they pointed somewhere. They wanted to go somewher, though for what reason he didn't know, but he understood the gestures. Soon enough he'd be a pro at reading facial expressions and understanding gestures on this planet. Things were not the same as they were on his home planet, the lack of ears and tails made understanding harder.
Maybe that was why humans talked so much and why they had those devices they talked into? The whole message, it's full meaning, was able to be spoken alone. How utterly boring...and simple. Though maybe that would make things easier? It would be just one language he needed to learn, not what ear posistions and tail movememnts meant, just the words and what they each meant once strung together.
"Yes, there." Nodding his head he pointed to where the other had pointed. Stepping away from the other, slowly, he kept his eyeson them whilst heading in the direction they'd pointed.

Totoro frowned as it seemed the other had trouble understanding him but when they said yes there and pointed as well Totoro nodded. He moved over to the spot that was more open and safe.
When he reached it he stood with his hand on his chin thinking, wondering how best to communicate with the deep space senshi.
After a moment he pulled out sidewalk chalk out of his subspace, he honestly hadn't expected to need sidewalk chalk but maybe it was a good thing he'd shoved it into his subspace.
The space was nice and clean with room to draw, he'd just have to figure out how to clean the sidewalk. Totoro drew a stick figure with ears and tail and wrote Athebyne over it with a little arrow and then did his best to draw the area they were in with a big circle around it and a slash though it.
He then drew another stick figure of Athebyne trying to relay he wanted to know if the other senshi was looking for something by drawing a hand up and dotted lines to indicate sight. "Okay, lets try this..." He said sitting back on his heels.
"This is you, Athebyne." He said pointing from Athebyne to the stick figure. "This is where we are, it's dangerous we shouldn't be here." He said pointing to the picture then to the area and crossing his arms shaking his head no.
Then he pointed back to the stick figure and Athebyne, "Were you looking for something?" When he said looking he raised a hand over his eyes and moved his head so he was scanning the area. He then looked back to the senshi waiting to see if he understood that.
He also wondered if he should learn sign language if that would help him in this particular situation.

Perking up, ears standing at attention, the senshi of monsoons watched the other work on the sidewalk. When it was done he took the time to look it over, to listen to them, before he took the chalk and made a series of dotted lines going this way and that, all coming from himself, and added question marks.
"New here..." He needed to learn his way around the city, to find where things were, and he couldn't go out during the day light hours. Apparently his appearence was not normal, not to mention he was used to being out at night more often than not, so he was doing his bes tto wander about the city and figure this place out.
Motioning around himself, about the city, he shrugged his shoulders slowly. "New, need....knowing..." He would get a handle on the languiage here, he had to, he knew he would. He just needed time and experience, he needed to watch and listen to people. The books Pippa, he knew her name was Pippa, had gotten him helped but it wasn't just that. He knew he'd get a handle on it though...he was a fast learner.

Totoro watched as there were lines and questions marks drawn all around and he nodded studiously. "Ah I see, welcome to Destiny City!"
He sat seeming to think before pulling another chalk out of his sub space so they both had one. He drew himself beside and slightly in front of Athebyne, and then around some of the question marks he thought about what was in a few of the directions and over one he drew a swing set with a bench and trees, a few boxes that he wrote store names on and some other things. "I can help!"
He said with a grin, "I can show you places that are good!" He put check marks over the images when he said that.
"Oh do you know about youmas and the negaverse?" There was a pause and then he doodled a bloby monster with what he thought was evil eyes and a big mouth full of teeth labeling it youma, and a stick figure he tried to make look scared. "You have to look out for youma!" He said pointing, "Youma are bad! They like to fight."
He also drew to the best of his ability someone in a uniform with a mad look and another stick figure that was a normal person and then drew the same one with a diamond shape in their hand and wrote negaverse over their head. "This is a negaverse agent. They're bad too. Some of them take starseeds." He wrote starseed over the diamond shape. "Not all but careful trusting them!"
While he hadn't seen it personally he'd learn through the database that they did this. He thought and paused, "Oh do you have a senshi phone?"
He pulled out the phone from his subspace and showed the other the phone. "A cat can give it to you." He moved a bit so he had a clear space and drew a cat with an arrow to a phone then another stick of Athebyne.

Smiling he nodded his head to the other, he did understand that. He'd been welcomed to this place before, so he knew the words, at least they seemed to understand what he was getting at with his doodling on the ground. When the other started drawing, with a new piece of chalk, the hyena nodded his head and smiled brightly at the words they spoke.
"Yes! Help." He wanted, and needed, to know what was around this place. It wouldn't do well for him to not have a clue of this cities lay out, especially if he got in trouble, his magic was not strong and he very well knew it. He still was building himself back up as well, the diet he'd just managed to survive on was not the best for him. "Please...." He'd heard that word uised, had an idea of what it was used for and meant, so he went with it.
Now he was staring at the other before holding up a hand and making a motion of yes...and no. He knew the word and had some idea...but he'd never seen one or felt them. It was hard to know much about them when he hadn't seen them, hadn't experienced what they could do, and that other word...he'd head that one as well. But he'd not run into them either. "Heard...not seen." Maybe it was good though? His magic was weak, it always had been, he'd never been more than he was now.
"Have teeth too." Pointing at his own, including the dull looking fangs he had.

Totoro thought when the other said yes help and gave a nod. "Of course!" He then said brightly "I'll take you on a tour!" He pointed at the picture of him walking around.
Totoro chuckled a little at the other saying they have teeth too and looked awed at the fact he did actually have fangs. "That's so cool!"
He moved and motioned for the hyena senshi to follow him. "Okay come on I'll show you good places to be!" He started leading the way to the shops that were nearby so he could explain kind of what they sold and that money needed to be exchanged in order to get the items. His next planned stop after this would be the park.

As the other indicated taking him around the ancient senshi, who still felt young in some ways, nodded his head and smiled brightly. He really hadn't had the best of lives, not that he knew that really, but he'd also spent so much time alone and on his own that he hadn't had to do adult things. There was a lack of responsability which he'd had in his long life, and a lack of many things which others were exposed to, so he was in many ways innocent and young and at times he did feel it - did feel needy of someone else to guide him.
"Cool?" Questioning the other, wasn't that a tempature description? At least he was certain it was...so why was it being used now?
Nodding his head, as topics changed, and moved to follow at the others side. This city offered a lot, it was large, and full of noise and life and he needed to get a handle on things and this would help handle that issue faster. Takign in what the other said, or what heunderstood anyway, he would nod his head here and there and follow. Looking into shop windows, curious, his tail would..wag every so often.
This was a good night for him, well worth it.
