Jaina had been curious for a while. Malory had been happy and she had wanted to know why and it turned out that there was a boy, and that…he was getting married and it was all a lot and now she was worried and curious and horribly nosey...
So of course she had made it her mission to follow the two of them whenever possible, and while it wasn’t possible often, she was able to do it tonight…and, lucky for her, Malory slipped off to go somewhere else and The Weird Boy was left alone. Which.
Perfect!
She followed quietly as he walked, pleased that it was in the opposite direction as Mal had taken, and finally, when she was sure that they were at least mostly alone, she moved.
Quickly.
Reaching out and tapping the blonde’s shoulder and then standing at her full height, which…made her almost on par with this guy. “What are your intentions with my Malory? I heard that you were getting married? I hope you know you have to pass all of my tests and questions in order for me to allow that.”
Jaina folded her arms across her chest and tilted her head back just slightly. “Are you prepared for this?”

Eles's thoughts were already on work that night. It wasn't his scheduled night, but continuing to sit on the news of his engagement would be doing a disservice to his coworkers. They shared their lives and their raunchy gossip with him, so it was only fair that he share some of his own in return. He just hadn't decided yet if he would call Malory his half-brother, but he still had some time before he reached the club.
He'd been musing about Chrissie's reaction when he felt someone tap him, and as he turned, he narrowly avoided pulling a punch on the girl that had spontaneously appeared behind him. Though, when she started to speak, he wondered if it would've been more respectful for him to punch her?
Oh, he mouthed. As he signed, his lips conveyed the shape of his words. Are you one of his exes? I think I get it.
We're supposed to fight to the death, right? Then whoever wins marries Malory and the ceremony is anointed in the blood of the fallen. That made a lot of sense, the more he thought about it. It seemed an appropriate way to honor Malory and his trail of breathless exes. It fit the mausoleum vibe, too.
Go ahead. Ask away.
