 Welcome Designers of Cycle 7 to your first task!
We want to get to know you all better, especially how you like to be referred to
and some of those kinds of things. So this thread is a place to introduce
yourselves to us and lurkers watching this cycle. Think of your favorite
competition show and the little interviews they do to introduce themselves,
that’s the vibe we’re going for here. You can include as much as you want, in
any format, but below is the stuff that you have to include.
Name: Your name/what you want us to call you. Also include if there is a nickname/shortening of your username that you do not want.
Age: How old are you? Can be vague if you want, say you’re an elder millennial or baby gen z, whatever. Give us a vibe.
Location: Where are you from? If nothing else, just tell us which timezone you’re in.
Favorite Design Styles: What do you like to do? Favorite Color Schemes? General vibes? The people want to know!

Hello, very nice to meet you!
My name is Jared, username Endless Endeavors (and you can call me whatever strikes your fancy). I'm 29 years old, and I'm based in Northern California!
I've been on Gaia since [REDACTED] and honestly, the best thing about this site, to me, has always been the ability to design cute lil' avis.
I remember the days of TekTek where I would spend literally HOURS crafting the perfect avi that fit my desired mood / aesthetic / feeling (assuming I could afford whatever I made, lol),
and I guess you could say that my love for creating is what led me to this guild and to this audition cycle.

I tend to gravitate towards fantasy or the macabre. So, I love rich, dark colors, a moody atmosphere, and / or something that you could see in an MMORPG.
However, I don't like to limit myself, and I'm definitely no stranger to brighter colors and themes. I kinda just go with the flow, and my style changes depending on the day!
Some of my favorite color schemes are Breezy, Dupione, and Decay.
Or, I'll go with something a bit more monochromatic with a touch of contrast.

In college, I studied English with a concentration in creative writing, and I have a feeling that I'll be using that to make some unnecessarily elaborate stories about the avis that I design in this runway cycle.
I love videogames and have been playing WAY too much Baldur's Gate III and Hades II (early access). Videogames have always been a huge source of inspiration for me.
I'm a musician, and I play at wineries around my city. Looove me some in-depth conversations about favorite albums, artists, songs, etc.
I'm an amateur tarot reader, and am actively trying to learn the craft. Emphasis on amateur, lol.
I own about 40 house plants in my apartment, and I could go on and on about my plant collection.
I love backpacking, and I go on weekend trips once a month. My friends and I really care about the planet, so we try and backpack in a way that is environmentally conscious.
I'm really excited for this cycle, and I'm curious to know how this will all shake out! Love u!

Heyyy, everyone!
On Gaia I'm mostly known as Rai, but my real name is John. Call me either one!
I may or may not be 32 years old. burning_eyes
I'm from New Jersey! I lived in Los Angeles for a few years and then moved back. Now I live in a cute lil apartment with a cute lil dog.
When it comes to design I always gravitate towards these three things: Armor/Medieval, Rally girl, and some sort of monster inspired by Frankenstein's creation.
There are even times when all three concepts come together! Whether or not it looks good is a different story. crying
I also obsess over backgrounds. Lighting, cropping, layering; It can elevate any avatar significantly and I love helping people make new ones.
I also love talking about music! Giving and getting recommendations is my favorite kind of conversation. If you have a musician you're obsessed with and need someone to tell, I am that person.
Lastly, congratulations to all of you who made it, and I look forward to competing with you!

I don't mind nicknames, I go by he/she, and I'm pretty freshly an adult. I still consider myself a kid :gu_sweats::gu_sweats:
I'm western Canadian, & my timezone is mountain daylight/MDT (UTC-07:00)!
I'm fairly new to Gaia. I created an account when I was younger but never actually got into it until recently--as in, like, two months ago :gu_hehe: I'm still kinda learning things but have a pretty good handle by now! I have a long history with art & design and have been having a lot of fun with a dress up game as expansive as Gaia.
If you couldn't already tell, I am a BIG fan of warm hues, especially red! My favourite palettes are usually monochromatic or triadic, think primary colours. I think my favourite schemes I've found here so far are kurudo, ornate, goldenlocks, & express. I love anything frills, oversized sleeves, or angelic!
Some more about me, hm. I have a darling kitty (her name is Lucky heart ), I love sweets, and am most brands of neurodivergent... so please do tell me if I misinterpret anything while interacting sweatdrop
My latest hyperfixation has been Ensemble Stars & Gaia, but I also love drawing, writing, embroidery, coding, 3d modelling... pretty much anything creative. Including games like minecraft & acnh ^^ Though sometimes (most times) I'll get way too in the zone and accidentally end up working on one thing for entire days straight.... whoops...

Hello everyone!
I'm Steph, my username on Gaia is a random username I generated, so you can just call me by my real name 3nodding
I'm Malaysian but I'm based in Canada atm, and EST is my timezone. I'm in my late 20s!
I'm still discovering what kind of designer I am, but so far I find myself drawn to "cleaner" looks, as I like being able to see the outline of the items when I'm making my avis. I find that sometimes I can be a bit conservative when it comes to designing, and I often stay in the non-fantasy lane, so this is an area I hope to work on challenging myself this cycle.
There are so many awesome schemes on Gaia, it's honestly quite hard to choose my favourites! Some schemes I adore off the top of my head are Demure, Alexandrite, Charred, Catharsis, Accursed, and Filigree!
Some other stuff about me -
- I studied Cell & Molecular Bio during my undergrad, but took some time off after graduating bc of health issues and I'm looking to get back into science atm.
- Video games I like include: Stardew Valley, ACNH, the Don't Starve series games, Oxygen Not Included, Pokemon (ORAS has a special place in my heart!), and Balatro.
- My other hobbies include bridge, photography, travelling on my good days, and learning about other cultures (I enjoy learning stuff in general, depending on what I'm currently into).
- I'm not a fashionable person IRL at all, I prefer playing dress-up on Gaia XD
I'm incredibly excited to be here, I look forward to the upcoming challenges this cycle and can't wait to see what everyone will be making (including myself)! Good luck to all ^^

I'm a Malaysian zillenial, and I'm a creative at heart! You'll find me listening to all sorts of things while I'm doing anything - indie music, true crime, random online drama of people who I've never even seen or heard from 😂
As you'll probably expect from someone who works in the animation/ creative industry, I dress just as unconventionally as the entries I make for this guild or Runway. I'm particularly inclined towards street fashion ala Jet Set Radio and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk at the moment. But as you can tell by my current avatar, huge fan of Japanese subcultures like Tenshi Kaiwai too. Identity issues lol.
I think my signature trait for all the avatars I make is I tend to gravitate towards striking colours. Layering is also a huge factor in my final looks. Now everyone knows why it takes me so long to create an entry, haha.

I’m Gen Z, but I grew up in the early 2000s with older sisters, so I think I am closer to being a zillenial.
I joined Gaia to play with my sisters back then, now I’m the only one still left playing. emo
I’m from Southeast Asia (UTC+8, 12 hours ahead of EST, give or take daylight savings).
I love love love cottagecore, on gaia as well as irl. I end up making my dream outfits on here!
I do like breaking from my default with challenges, especially on Runway, which pushes me out of my comfort zone.
I love earthy color schemes - Tranquil, Natural, Rosette, Kingly 𖹭 and even Parched despite its few items.
Brown is my favorite color, tho I also enjoy pastels, neons, and bright-colored avis when inspiration strikes.
I’m in uni pursuing a degree in the healthcare field, and Gaia is my only creative release right now.
Avatar making has always been a favorite pastime. Millions of items = a quadrillion of possibilities!! It is so so fun whee
I do enjoy reading fictional stories as well, and I absolutely adore world-building, especially in fantasy settings.
I’m really excited to join as this is my first time here and can’t wait to see everyone’s beautiful avatars.

I'm a homemaker and mother of two from the San Joaquin Valley in Central California. I'm forever young, as I was born on a leap day!
Like many of you, I’ve been around Gaia for quite some time, though my first account is now lost to the ether. I remember saving my lunch money for monthly items, and I *still* have the IRL Kiki plush I bought back in the day ~ the kind that fastens to a headband so you can wear it Gaia-style. Let me tell you, it’s *precious* seeing my baby girl adorned with that cat!
These days, Gaia remains my go-to creative outlet, especially in this season of life where I’m not painting like I used to. I’ve tried to quit (with the occasional long hiatus), but I always end up back in my closet, tinkering with outfits. I especially love building scenics.
I adore floral and foliage items and tend to lean into the Blooming and Demure color schemes ~ though I like to diversify so I’m ready whenever an inspiring Runway theme appears!

Howdy! I'm Arielso, if you want to shorten it, Ari is fine. I go by she/her pronouns, but they/them is fine too. I'm new to the clan and just want to say thank you! This is a really cool thing to run and it has unlocked memories for me. I totally forgot I used to watch Project Runway with my mom when I was younger. I can still hear Tim Gunn's voice, "Designers, for this challenge..." I even remember when Christian Siriano won and they put some of his designs on here - Gaiaonline! Anyways, just made me so happy remembering after so many years. I'll have to give it a rewatch cat_3nodding I will be turning 28 in October. I've been on and off of Gaia for a long time. I grew up with two older brothers and unlimited, unsupervised internet access (not great). I always did whatever my brothers did. So, I also play a lot of video games. I recently got Dolphin and have been replaying gamecube games. Fire Emblem to Animal Crossing to F-Zero, I'll play kinda anything. My most hours played of any game is definitely Guild Wars. I'm currently living in Colorado, Mountain Standard Time. My boyfriend and I are always on the hunt for quartz crystals or other minerals. I also love taking photos of nature. My favorite vibe is no doubt Baten Kaitos. Just the whole game in general but specifically the island of Mira. I could sit on that island screen for hours listening to the music. The whole soundtrack slaps. Is the world in imminent danger of being destroyed? Maybe...but it's sooo pretty. My Gaia style is all over the place, but my fave things are monochrome or matching different schemes through which gold/silver they have in them. My favorite gold right now is tarnished gold and if I HAD to choose a favorite color - peritwinkle. Thanks for reading cat_cool

My username is Acid_Free. You can call me Acid, AF, or Caitie! I am 30 years old, my pronouns are she/her.
I live in Arizona, so my current timezone is MST (UTC-7). I work during the week, so I'm way more active in the evenings. When I'm out and about, you can find me exploring museums and art galleries, or eating delicious food. When I'm home, I love watching improv or competition shows, reading, and gaming.
And heyyy fellow gamers~ ✿ ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ Ya'll sound like so much fun! I'm in Act 3 my first ever run of Baldurs Gate III, and have also been playing Hades II. The sequel is beautiful so far, and it makes me excited to see what the full launch will be! I also play way too much League of Legends, especially with their auto-battler, Team Fight Tactics... sweatdrop
My own preferred style is a classic take on regency/romance costumes-- Think big skirts, sleeves, gloves and layers. I weak for slow-burn romance so I think it comes out in what I design for myself. This may sound silly, but I only recently discovered the magic of specific color schemes! It has opened up a whole new world of design, so I have seen my style changing.
I have the honor of working with the model Emerson this season, so I look forward to seeing how this season will go!
