WC: 2014

It had been a while since Tea had went to explore her homeworld. The super senshi stretched as she stepped on the soft ground. The weather had quieted down quite a bit since the storms from Harold.

Looking towards the sun the senshi smiled softly and walked towards the places where the huts were and city buildings. She needed to explore those more and figure out what she was doing. There was a pause though when she thought she heard something.

The senshi looked around, eyes narrowing. It had been so quiet the few visits she would have surely noticed if there was something causing a stir, would she not? Yet she could hear it. There with the occasional call, it reminded her of crickets? She was just on the outskirts where the grass had grown some of it up to her waist.

Surely she had not missed anything? She started looking around and following the noise. When something suddenly took off and made the senshi squeal. It's wings were loud. Her eyes even though she was startled tried to follow it and eventually moved to where she thought it landed.

Carefully she looked for it and found what looked like a creature that mimicked the blade of grass. Only it had a pinkish hue underneath it's wings. It chirruped like a cricket when it jumped she could hear it's wings beat. When did her home world get a creature like this?

The whole time she explored it while she was a chibi there was not anything living here. Much less a six inch cricket. Her nose wrinkled as she studied it. Well, maybe something was going on she couldn't see or maybe Harold had woken something up?

The senshi was not sure but she sighed and decided to head into the village to finish what she'd planned on working on. There was no point in following bugs all night. Not when she needed to start by sweeping and dusting the museum and the homes she could get to. She set a timer on her phone. "This is going to be boring, I should find someone to come with me to help." She sighed, it would be nice to have someone to talk to as she worked.

After all besides herself were the ghosts of her past self and that was not any fun to try and to talk to either, since it seemed she could not interact with them just watch what was going on. Especially when all they did was walk around and throw memories at her on the random. Some of them were useful but not all of them and it sometimes irritated her that the ghost just seemed like an old tape playing in the background.

Tea hummed as she walked to the museum to start dusting and cleaning off the artifacts that were there. Not everything was, it seemed, all in tact. She had a feeling she was about to be Indiana Jones trying to find all the lost artifacts and stories about them. Because heaven help her if the ghost did not like telling stories about the old artifacts. "Hm, I should reach out to a museum back home and see what kind of cleaning solution they use."

She was looking at some of the stone and bone pieces that needed a bit more care. Tea knew they needed to be cleaned up but, how was the question. She didn't want to hurt anything while she was cleaning as it would be counter intuitive to what she was trying to do. Which was restore what use to be here. She was looking at some of the linen that was clearly made with animal hide and linen that mimicked cotton she was not sure what the material actually was but it was something that needed to be washed to get the stains out. "I hope they are willing to help me without asking too many questions."

She seemed thoughtful as she swept the floor removing layers of dust from the building though it seemed just to stir it up more. There was a frown as she looked at the state of things. "I am going to need better tools. Maybe I should look into a small solar generator that I could carry and some fans and air purifiers. That should help I think." She seemed thoughtful. She might have to bring them one at a time in different trips but maybe it would not be too difficult to get something up here to fix it so when she cleaned it would not be so dusty.

"Could use some better lighting too." She mused looking around the museum was fairly dark and while that was okay, she wanted to light the exhibits better, and she was trying to figure out how to do that without causing issues. "Maybe I need a cat to help me."

It would not be hard maybe, to get a cat to help wire up some little LED spot lights that could shine on the exhibits right? And those would not take a ton of power to run so a solar generator or two would be perfect she thought. Thankfully it did not seem that the museum needed any air conditioning and the way it was built kept it pretty cool inside but she wasn't sure why it stayed cool as such.

"I wish I knew if it was how it was built or if it was the insulation - whatever it might be - that keeps this place not being an oven. It is very odd to think that it is so cool here." She knew it was not underground but something about the structure led her to believe it could be a hundred degrees outside and it still be a nice cool place to hide. There was no evidence of air conditioning or modern amenities. The senshi seemed thoughtful as she moved around the building looking.

There was however small holes that she had missed earlier. She placed a hand over it to see what was there, and she realized every so often there was one here or there. When she held her hand over it, there was a soft feeling of a breeze. "Odd." She said softly to herself as she placed an ear near the hole. It sounded as if there was running water somewhere.

The senshi tilted her head, maybe there was some sort of air conditioning? But how? The more she looked the less she could find evidence of any sort of underground room. Maybe there was an underground spring? Could it cool the place in the summer? What about the winter?

The senshi seemed conflicted as she picked up her cleaning tools. "I think this is a mystery I am going to need a cat for." She said softly as she moved to one of the smaller buildings. She knew there was some sort of aqueduct attempt as she could see the ducts here and there and there was obvious plumbing in some of the huts she had stuck her head into. Maybe it was helping keep the places cool too?

Tea was dusting and wiping down old rickety tables and chairs in the new location she was working on it. It seemed like a small single family dwelling. No obvious bedroom but there were futon looking mattresses stacked on the floor in a corner. Perhaps they all slept in one room? She noted the what looked to be a stove made of stone and clay with a pipe that would led the smoke outside above the roof. It was pretty fancy Tea thought as she inspected it and cleaned the inside of old ash. She was not sure what sorts of things it could be used to cook but it clearly was a cooking stove. It seemed the top had a thinner layer of clay. She assumed that perhaps was for a kettle or some sort or something.

The dishes that were in this one as well as the other pots and things seemed to be made of fired clay. The colors were vibrant and she wondered how they had managed such since it did not seem like there was much here currently that could produce bright colors. "I wonder if it was bugs or fruit and plants that made this color."

It seemed almost like an unusual shade of pink. It reminded her almost of the cricket she had just seen.

Suddenly she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. "You see, this is how we dye the plates." There was a woman with the senshi showing her a set of small containers one of them had the insect. The others held things she did not recognize from here, currently at least. Though there were shades of pinks, blues and yellows it seemed like. Tea tilted her head as the woman spoke and demonstrated that before the plates were finished they had added the powder color to them.

Then they moved, and Tea followed her past self outside to find there was suppose to be a kiln in a shed. She made a mental note to come investigate when the vision had not glamorized the current state the kiln was in. She watched as the plates were fired and brought out. "See how pretty it turns out?" The woman said with a smile offering it to tea's past life self.

The senshi had thanked the woman and took the set of plates when they were finished and offered to her. Present day Tea looked curious and seemed thoughtful, "I wonder if those are still in the hut I was in a while ago.

It was starting to get a bit later than Tea had intended on staying, however the senshi could not leave just yet, since she had come to finish up a job with a goal. She picked up her cleaning supplies and moved towards the hut she had figured out was hers in the past and sat everything down to go look for the hand crafted dishes. It did not take too long to find them but she did find them.

"Ah this is cool." She said softly turning them over in her hand as she inspected them. "I wonder if the pink is from the creature I saw earlier outside." If it was, maybe there were enough she could try to make a plate. If not maybe she could find enough to allow them to multiply so she could do it later on.

Tea smiled, it might not be the normal way to revitalize a home world but surely it could not hurt to try and learn the old ways of how to make the pottery and build the buildings so she could be more efficient at restoring everything. After fantasizing for a bit on how she would like to bring everything back. Tea went to sweeping and cleaning her hut up so she could come back soon.

"Maybe next trip I should bring a couple of small bug traps and see if I can figure out what kind of bug these new creatures are and if they are usable in any way."

The senshi shrugged and looked around observing her work on the hut that was hers. Afterwords she decided it was time to pack up and go home. There really was not a lot more she could do anyways since the sun seemed to be setting and she really needed to get back to Destiny City. She could not wait to tell her sister about the bugs she found tonight.

"I bet Byakko is going to be so jealous that I have bugs living on my home world." Tea chuckled at the mental image of Byakko being distressed that her home world was not as cool as Tea's since there were already living critters on Tea's home world.

With that being the last fleeting thought Tea headed back home in order to tell her sister what she had found tonight!
