After finding a quiet and hidden spot to transform, Polarite and Villon were getting ready to spar. He’d done this with Saleeite before, but with Villon he didn’t think he’d have to hold back as much. He was already pretty skilled as far as Polar was concerned, so maybe he would be able to pick up some moves from his patrol buddy. He did wonder how the hell he fought with all that hair, though. Didn’t it get in the way?
Okay, he had to know. “How do you fight with all that hair?” he asked as he stretched a bit. It always felt good when he transformed into Polarite, letting go of the inhibitions that kept him from killing people in his day to day life. Well, that and knowing that he’d be sent to jail with his father, not to mention Noa would probably leave him and never let him see Haji, and Ainsley would be put in the system until she aged out.
Yeah, he definitely felt freer as Polarite.
It was always nice transforming into Villon. The chaos that ran through his body was thrilling, and highly addictive. It's why he tries not to transform TOO often, lest he cause trouble for his cousin and his general. Either way, he was happy to be free and fighting an opponent that was going to give him some grief. When Polarite asked how he fought with long a** hair, Villon snorted, “One stupid order tried to use it as a weapon against me.” He could still feel the phantom pain in his nose from that ******** knight.
“Doesnt really work too well. Pain isn't something that deters me.” That stupid panic senshi found that out the hard way. He cracked his neck and stretched as well, feeling a bit limber and loose. “I don't have a set fighting style. Want to treat this as an actual spar? Or go all out? Means you would have to deal with powers and I would have to deal with your weapon.”
Polarite snorted softly. Was Villon a masochist? Though Polarite was plenty used to pain thanks to his upbringing with his father. Maybe his friend had been through something similar. He thought about Villon’s next question and shook his head. “Spar this time. Not sure I’d like to be on the receiving end of your nightmare tentacles,” he said. He had plenty of nightmares without subjecting himself to more willingly.
“Maybe another time,” he said unconvincingly, flexing his fingers and rolling his wrists to loosen them up in preparation for this fight. It would be nice to fight against someone he knew could hold his own, and wouldn’t hold back just because they were friends. “You want first hit?” he asked.
Had Polar voiced his question outloud, Villon would have corrected him. No, he was not a masochist, sadist is more like it. However since he didn't voice the question he wouldn’t get the correct answer. Giving his friend a maniacal grin, Villon allowed the ink to flow through his teeth and out his mouth, “You sure?” He cackled, making the ink disappear before watching Polar getting ready for their spar. Offering the first hit was nice but…Thats not how an actual fight would work yeah?
“Nah, I'm okay.”
After that, he teleported behind the agent, going for a kick in the back. He was more of a wild fighter so there wouldn't be much coordination to his attacks, but he was sure Polar would be able to pick up on it fairly quickly.
The ink seeping between his teeth and out of his mouth gave Polar a tiny bit of the heebie jeebies, and he cracked his neck to get rid of the feeling. Villon vanished the ink as he declined first hit, but then he was gone and Polar had a boot in his back. “s**t!” he cursed as he took a step to catch himself, whirling around to meet Villon head on instead. Right. No fighting style. Polarite would have to be ready for anything. Definitely a good idea to keep powers and weapons out of things for now while he got used to Villon’s fighting “style.”
He didn’t waste time then, moving to one side and throwing a punch aimed for Villon’s kidney.
Since this was a spar, Villon knew he would have to let some of Polar’s hits land [even if he knew in a real fight the man would probably kick his a**], so he took the hit to the kidney and promptly hissed in pain. However, he allowed the pain to fuel him instead of stopping him, which meant that he was starting to get feral. Giving Polar nothing but a smirk, Villon went forward with the intent of giving the other a headbutt. If that didn't work, then the kick to his side would. Either way, he was going to try his damndest to give his friend a run for his money.
A feral grin curved Polar’s lips as his hit landed. This was going to be fun. He jerked backward in time to avoid the headbutt, but that left him open for the kick to his side. A grunt of pain left him, and then he thought he would try Villon’s trick. He teleported behind his friend and kicked the back of his knee to knock him down.
Oh!
It's nice to know he was fighting someone that was quick on their toes. Villon stumbled forward, then turned quickly to try and deliver a backhanded punch, crouching low for a sweeping kick if that didn't work. Wither would have fun sparring with Polar, maybe he should suggest it next time…If he could get away from his children long enough. Not that it was their fault, Ryan was just…A mother hen when it came to his kids. Villon knew he would need to get some sort of distance between them but he had to figure out how he was going to accomplish that. For now, if he tripped Polar up then that would be the opportunity he would take.
He thought he’d been prepared for backlash, but that punch Villon gave him had him stumbling back a step. Just far enough to miss the kick he swept at his legs. Maybe he would have to get Saleeite to spar with Villon, once she was able to transform again and was healed enough for that sort of thing. There were plenty of scenarios they could work out, and he thought she would have fun sparring with Villon. Once the blur in his vision from Villon’s punch had cleared, Polar came in close enough for an uppercut just under Villon’s jaw.
He was NOT taking a hit to the jaw, especially from Polar who out weighed and out muscled him. So, he teleported again but to put distance between them, huffing and chuckling. “Almost got me there.” Like he admitted, he did not have a set fighting style and it showed. He kinda just…Went with whatever worked, which was not going to be effective against a seasoned fighter like Polar. It was why he made the hard decision to cut the sparing a bit short. “Clearly I need to take a self defense class to keep up with you.” He chuckled breathlessly. “This means I have to cut it here…You're going to give me bruises that won't be easy to explain away to the wife if we keep this up.” He dehenshined and shook his head once he was back to being just Eli.
“The night is still young, we could go home or go find some trouble. Up to you though.”
Damn, the senshi was too quick with that teleportation s**t and Polar missed landing the uppercut. Villon had put plenty of space between them with that move and he straightened as the senshi spoke. It was almost disappointing that he wanted to cut their session short, but he chuckled at his reasoning. “That’s understandable,” he said and smiled as he transformed back to just Idri. He was lucky that his girlfriend knew about his alter ego, and he only had to worry about keeping bruises and s**t hidden from his sister.
Idri rolled his shoulders, contemplating Eli’s offer. With a smirk, he teased, “I don’t know, wouldn’t want you to get bruised up too much if we went looking for trouble.”
Well he supposed he deserved that one.
Eli snorted and rolled his eyes, “Ha ha ha good one Idirian.” He shook his head, rolling his shoulders as well. “I mean…fighting order is easy. They’re really disorganized apparently.” He made the following motion with his hand, “Follow me, I'm sure we will be able to find trouble easily.” With that, he henshined back into Villon and took off for the rooftops, figuring his friend would be able to keep up.
Idri smirked as Eli rolled his eyes. Yeah, that had been his impression of order so far. He transformed when Eli did and followed him up to the rooftops easily. Man, it was good to have power like this. He couldn’t imagine what kind of power he’d have once he reached General status. Some more battles with these order morons and he was sure he’d level up. With Villon, finding more fights to get into would likely be easy.
