Quote: Poultrygeist (15) : As Destiny City is a bustling metropolis, it’s not unexpected that there should be some strange animals running the streets. Sometimes it’s a tiger, sometimes a monkey, sometimes a chicken. Sometimes it’s something worse. Strange egg clusters have appeared in Destiny City’s parks and officials aren’t really sure what they are; these eggs have nothing inside of them. Though it’s an anomaly, they are chalking it up to teenaged pranks. However, they have advised to just leave the eggs as they are. Nobody wants to say why, but if you’re out late at night, you’ll find out. In the darkness, whispered between the sounds of the city: a guttural, rasping cluck. The creature stands on stilt-like legs, rooted to the ground with razor-sharp talons. It wears a cloak of long, oily feathers that drag on the ground with a sinister scraping. If you stare into the darkness, piercing red eyes stare back at you. That’s all it takes for a confrontation: a mangled bird, maybe a chicken in another life, comes barreling out at you. It stands easily as tall as a person, but the proportions are all wrong. The smell of sulfur follows it as it lunges, pecking and screaming and scratching as it attempts to chase you away. Maybe, from the nests full of empty eggs. The battles are fierce, but fleeting; it will viciously try to chase you away but the effects are always the same: at some point, the eggs are crushed. As always, there’s nothing inside of them, but with one final wail, the bird will vanish into a plume of foul smoke. Note: If you choose to encounter one of these bird-like creatures, your character will recognize they are not youma. It is impossible to tell if it is a single entity or if there are many. The bird does not seem to understand or care to listen to human words. It will always disappear in a malodorous plume of smoke and leave nothing but a foul odor and a clutch of empty, broken eggs behind. This RP can be used as a battle requirement as long as there are two powered characters involved; you must be interacting with another player’s powered character. This does not count as the one youma battle per stage for growth so characters can still use an NPC youma battle as well as this one for growth purposes. This can only be used as a battle requirement once per character, but there is no limitation for how many times a player can use this prompt. Things were very different here, so many sensations and different ways that the people here lived and worked. Some of his questions had been answered, but after they had parted, he found himself wandering again and still confused. Though he was warmer and no longer hungry. For someone who had been very against being friends, he was still confused about that, but things must be different on this planet when it came to such a title. As per that man's advice, he kept to the trees and out of sight for now so nobody would be startled. Even if he wasn't Feronia, he would still have the things that stood out on this planet so he'd have to figure something out. Maybe a hat? Or maybe some sort of veil if that would be acceptable? But he would have to ask someone more knowledgeable than him on the matter. Stepping through the next patch of bushes into a clearing, he gagged slightly at the horrible smell and looked down at the cracked egg beneath his foot. Horror and confusion warred in his mind as he looked down. It was an egg, but even though he had crushed it, there was no yolk or young to be crushed within it. But regardless of that, an even more horrifying sound came out from the bushes further ahead, and he found himself worried and wondering what to do. If this was part of the wildlife here, was it right of him to attack it?

Antisana did his absolute best not to power up anywhere near his home, if he could help it. It was secluded enough in the forest, so there weren't many visitors or many threats, but that Youma curse still plagued him. He could sense them even as Indra now, but he still couldn't stop them from seeking him out. He had to do what was necessary to keep himself alive, no matter how often it seemed like he was walking a thread of treachery.
When he felt them pressing on the periphery of his senses, no matter the time of day or night, he moved as far away from his home as possible. If an agent happened to be with their creature, he didn't want them to know his cabin even existed, let alone the fact that someone lived in it.
This time, after he'd led the Youma away and dispatched it back to the Rift, something else tickled his aura sense. Not something that felt of Chaos, just... a Senshi. It wouldn't have been strange, except that this area was not really populated enough to be on anyone's patrol route? So, in that regard- it was actually strange. Even though Antisana didn't sense an enemy tailing them, he still decided to head in that direction just to make sure nothing nefarious was going on in his own territory...
Antisana spotted the boy first and nothing else.
And then he smelled- Something. No idea what, but it was putrid. Would've sent him backpedaling in the other direction if he didn't need to be curious about anything happening close to his cabin.
Then third- a sound. Also something unlike anything he'd heard before, and he wouldn't have attributed it to any creature he thought lived in these woods. And when he caught sight of it, with the Senshi between Antisana and the... thing, he could definitely confirm that it wasn't anything that was supposed to live in these woods. The Squire moved on instinct, as he often did when faced with the various creatures he had to combat with so much regularity.
He overtook the Senshi- horns and ears... someone from the wider cosmos?- and held his staff defensively in front of him. It was hardly a weapon for fighting physical combat, but he could use it as one if he must.
"Are you hurt? Is that... something that came with you? Do you know what it is?"

Swivelling his ears first, then his head, Feronia saw someone with a large staff approaching. Eyes widening, he hadn't seen someone with one before on this planet. Were they one of the few who carried out things? But then the words they spoke registered, and he looked between this new human and what had started to climb out of the bushes. Dripping a black substance that smelled of rot worse than he had ever experienced, he shook his head thrice and stepped back towards this new person. "I'm okay. What is that? Is it some sort of earth creature?" Speaking quietly as he scooted a little further back as the frankly terrifying creature moved closer. His ears drooped as he covered them when the thing made that noise again, squinting and cringing from the sound. "What do we do?" This wasn't his planet, so it wasn't up to him what could and couldn't be fought or what he was allowed to do as a visitor here. Thinking about what the other man had said, he then tried to keep both his ears and horns covered with his hands, even though there wasn't much he could do about his tail.

Apparently neither of them knew what they were looking at, though Antisana sent the Senshi a bombastic side-eye at the questions that were remarkably similar to his own. 'What is it? Did it follow you?' 'Is it from here? Have you seen it before?' Thanks for the freaking help.
Whatever.
Ultimately it didn't matter if neither of them knew what it was because what Antisana did know was that it couldn't stay here, causing a stinking scene too close for comfort to his cabin. Those sounds and that odor were beacons for trouble. If it had drawn one Senshi in such close proximity, it might draw others. He couldn't have that. And nothing he'd seen of this putrid creature spoke to him in a way that seemed 'friendly but misjudged!'
"We send it packing," Antisana answered quietly. And for as often as he had to make the first move in a confrontation, this time wasn't going to be different. The bird-like creature let out a sharp, grating noise as it barreled through the trees at them, and it was big enough to not be deterred by any of the shrubbery in the way. His staff wasn't the most fantastic weapon- a blade would've been better- but he had to work with what was available.
And birds generally did not have particularly powerful bones... He swung the bottom end of his staff for its neck, dodging a beak, but only grazing feathers. "Magic," He demanded of the Senshi. "Do you have any? What is it."

Feronia didn't notice the look from this new person, but that new phrase they said had him confused. Did they mean packing like shoo it away gently? He wasn't sure if the creature would take kindly to anything like that. Jumping slightly, he made a little noise as they went and swung out at the thing. Okay, so maybe this wasn't a normal earth creature, and it needed to be removed. Fretting again he looked between the new person and the creature as he wasn't sure what he could or couldn't do. Nobody had told him what was alright other than the first man, and they had said not to draw attention to himself. Flinching slightly at the demand, he blinked and nodded. "Yes! C-cherry rain!" He reacted quickly before the rest of the question came out, so he hadn't gotten the chance to explain, but they'd wanted him to attack, right? At least it would hopefully spook the creature away and maybe not draw anymore closer. But for some reason, everything seemed to spin as he watched the magical groundcherries fall. Something shifted, not that his body and brain felt like they were getting the memo for a moment, as it felt like all his energy had been siphoned. Why was the ground getting closer? How long had it been since he'd used magic again? All he knew was that it felt like he needed to close his eyes for his moment to try and let himself catch up on what was going on... Indigo_Plateau Feronia throws his arms up as he calls for his magic and a rain of some magical unripe groundcherries follows the arc of his tossing motion. They pop with a magical little spark and if they hit someone, it can cause the sensation of light blunt force damage, and will release a sweet-smelling plume of toxic smoke that mimic the poisoning that comes with eating unripe groundcherries. This might include breathing difficulties, trembling, weakness, and slight paralysis. The effects will fade when the magic ends unless players decide to take lasting damage.
