To begin, pick up to three Models (1 — 3) that you'd like to design for from the Project Catwalk Cycle 7 main competition thread, located HERE.
Next, simply recreate your selected Model(s) in the Avatar Builder, and design from there a canvas-wide ensemble outfit. It is essential that your overall design incorporates the entire frame, so make use of backgrounds and/or decor where fit. There are no themes you must adhere to, but your PC6 crew still expect original, comprehensive, high quality creations.
Once you've achieved your desired aesthetic, post your submissions in this thread, including: An image of your outfit, Designer name, Model name & an equipped list (pose included)
Auditions are open Jul 19th — Aug 10th, after which time the thread will be locked, and moved to the Archives subforum. Subsequently, the Head Judge will begin deciding who the successful candidates are immediately after Auditions close.
PM's will then be sent out to all the successful Auditions candidates, offering a permanent spot in the contest (which must be accepted). Failure to confirm a spot will result in it being given to the runner-up.

Please heed this message, whether you're a guild newbie that's hoping to get into their first cycle, or an old PC veteran, looking to get back into the game: There is a perfectly good reason that we allow our perspective Designers the opportunity to audition with up to three (3) Models. The reason being that a Designer can only join the competition with a Model they've tried out with ... and three chances are better than one!
To put it another way, if you audition with Models W, X and Y, you cannot join the competition as a Designer for Model Z, even if your design skills exceed that of those who've auditioned with Model Z. Your only competition would be from other perspective Designers that have submitted auditions with Models W, X, and/or Y. And comforting to know that if you were to bomb one submission, it wouldn't ruin your chances of making it into the competition.
Additionally, every hopeful Designer benefits from their competitors submitting multiple Models. Think about it: If one of your submissions is second best, and the Designer whose submission is above yours is chosen as a candidate for a different Model they submitted for, that would make your entry the new best option.
And finally, be sure to keep an eye on how many other hopeful Designers are vying for your desired Models, as there are always a few Models in every cycle that Gaians flock to, for whatever reason. And while those few Models collect 20+ entries each, others get only one or two entrants. When your odds of making it into a cycle are 5% or 50%, your smartest move is to take the better deal, and at the very least, get your foot in the door.
Securing a place in the contest with a Model you're less than fond of doesn't have to be the end of your Model-pair desires, as the contest does contain an opportunity to switch to a Model you may desire more: Top Designers of a challenge get the choice of changing their Model with the eliminated Designer's Model. So, with a hefty amount of talent, and just a bit of luck, you could find yourself paired with your dream Model after all.
Remember, there's only one Designer per Model, so use your entries wisely.

Solveig's Look: Iron Thorn
At first glance, Solveig's hairstyle really jumped out at me! Personally, I'm a huge fan of alternative fashion so I felt she really embodied that style. Initially I wanted to do a Viking Metal inspired look, but I thought: what if in space?
Heavily inspired by the game Mass Effect, my Solveig is a galactic vigilante known as Iron Thorn. She sports rugged clothes, her top and pants having cutoffs that reflects a life on the go. Her blood-like tattoos is a message to all: the Iron Thorn promises a swift retribution. I imagine that she has an array of weapons in her arsenal, but she favours blunt weapons like her spiked bat.
Overall, I chose Solveig's colour scheme as dark maroon pinks. Space is usually depicted in blues, but I wanted to portray that wildness in her high risk world. Watch out for the Iron Thorn, as she may appear in your nightmares from beneath the fog...

Marilou's Look: Visions of Sugarplums
I was quite captured by Marilou's sweeping locks and soft eyes. She has that romantic feel to her, like someone who goes to art museums for hours and listens to classical music! I decided her audition look to be styled after two of my favourite fashion subcultures: larme kei and balletcore.
Definitely, florals are a part of her world! Mauve pink and soft offblacks are my key visual colours. Marilou's outfit is greatly inspired by the Rococo era, I did a lot of playing around with the layering instead of just one single dress. Instead of actual ballet shoes, I gave her a pair of cute matching flats. Her makeup is subtle, with a smidge of blushing glow on her cheeks!
As she walks across a park of blossoms on her way to the newest art exhibition, Marilou holds her floral parasol to shield herself. Despite her look, she is actually quite a shy flower herself! She averts her gaze after catching your eye...

Delilah's Look: Solar Academic
Will admit, this is quite a wildcard! I didn't initially pick Delilah, but her redhead and green eyes combo is winning. Personally when I think of any redheads, I think of Anne Shirley, haha. Thus for her look, I decided to go for a tomboyish type. Something like a cute bookish witch? I played around with a few colour schemes and ultimately landed on a sunny yellow and brown palette.
A witch cannot be seen without their signature hat! I imagine that Delilah customizes her hats depending on the seasons or as she feels. For her current audition look, she is feeling that autumnal vibe. Delilah is an academic, through and through. Her typical witch uniform look is her signature collar vest and puffed out pants. She sports some youthful freckles behind her golden glasses.
Delilah is currently using her light magic to help tidy up her space (which typically is messy) to get ready for more books coming in soon. Listen, a witch is only as good as her knowledge!
I was inspired to make a set of looks after seeing how some of the other contestants connected their entries, and decided to use time as my central theme. All 3 of them have the same pocket watch, as a sign of their connection and bond with one another. Together, they maintain order in this universe.
Model: Tamara - Ashes and Origins Description: Tamara's soft features inspired me to cast her as the Guardian of the Past, she represents a moment of reflection. When we remember things, there's often a fuzzy layer that softens or beautifies the memory, even the things we once hated can start to fade. Nostalgia is a powerful drug after all, and it makes us want to hold on to the "good old days".
But time is the only constant, and all things pass, memories included. That's what makes the past comforting and bittersweet.
Tamara was there at the very beginning of it all. I leaned into her almost mythical presence and chose a background that featured the galaxy, as she is a witness to creation itself. The egg can be seen as a metaphor for lives that came after her, or simply as a symbol of her nurturing nature.
Model: Vanity - In This Moment Description: I was immediately struck by the elegance and glamour exuded by Vanity, so I thought she was fitting for a look on the runway & the magazine cover, featuring a contemporary design as the Guardian of the Present, representing a moment of power. I leaned into her features and chose byzantium and deep/darker reds to complement them.
People often say "one should stop and smell the flowers", or to "live in the moment", and I think Vanity is the living embodiment of that. She's so beautiful that she stops a room and makes you forget your train of thought. She doesn't ask for your attention - she just takes it.
And in that moment, when everything else disappears, her complete capture of attention breaks the spell of routine. She is a reminder that change doesn't start in the past or the future; the present day is where all transformation begins, and is the only time that truly counts.
Model: Solveig - All That Awaits Description: Solveig was such a challenge to design for - to me, her hairstyle suggests that she might not be someone who plays by the rules, but her eyes and her mouth shape somewhat soften her rebelliousness. Either way, she's most fitting to be the Guardian of the Future, representing a moment of hope.
I knew I wanted to make a sci-fi/futuristic base for Solveig as the Guardian of the Future. I also chose to incorporate some elements that make her look curious and contemplative. To me, she is a captain, a pillar of support for people who need it. She is a leader that isn't afraid to break rules and she is willing to step up when the universe needs her. The future is uncertain and scary sometimes, but it can also be full of possibilities and full of hope.
Willow gives me the vibes of a gentle spirit. She is a naiad living amongst nature, blessed by the fairies and the whispering waters. Forever loved by the forest and all its creatures. Her clear, sweet blue eyes reflect nothing but the pure, boundless love of the natural world she inhabits.
I looked up what a willow tree is, and omg, I fell in love. It looked so magical, like not out of this world real? Weeping willows are usually found near lakes or water, too. I wanted to capture that kind of moment!
The name Sunny suggests a bright & radiant disposition, but I wanted to show that even the sun casts its shadows. She holds secrets, and she's the last you'd expect to do what she dares. What she hides behind closed doors is hers to keep, and only time may tell if she's willing to let you peek.
I was immediately drawn to Sunny because contrary to her name, she had this sort of mysterious aura. But deep inside, she's just a sweet girl who's a little bit shy to socialize and spends most of her time with her cats.
Moxie, to me, is the embodiment of courage and spirit. She's a dryad born to wander, guided not by maps but by instinct and wonder. For her dreams are beyond the trees, she chases every winding trail and leaps at every chance. Not even the wildest waterfall can wash away her will.
Moxie is someone I aspire to be. I'm really introverted irl, and more expressive in text but sometimes I want to be able to just live life without overthinking too much. Moxie gives me that energy, she is definitely someone I'd want to be friends with. Her happy energy would be so contagious.
To name a muse is to let her bloom. In my head, the three of them are friends. The kind of friend group where everyone is a bit different and whimsical, yet they work so well together.
I am a big fan of fantasy, poetry, and nature. Flowers is one of my favorite things in the world. Fairycore & cottagecore are my favorite aesthetics, that might have reflected a lot in my entries hehe. Thank you for the beautiful opportunity to share their stories through my eyes.🌷

Cycle 7 Audition - Status: Complete, 7.24.2025
This is my first time auditioning for Project Catwalk, and I finally overcame my self-consciousness in shooting my shot here. I want to express how grateful I am to have received an invitation, and for the opportunity to participate.
I will warn in advance that I'm not particularly confident about my description / theme concept abilities, but I'm going to give it my best shot.
In thinking about the three models I selected, I felt compelled to theme each model with a piece of music that means something to me, or in someway been a part of the soundtrack of my life (music I've recently gotten into, songs from my childhood, etc.).
Most importantly, I wanted to correlate a song I know with each model, and how that inspired the design. I put my entries in quotations, just to make it easier to keep them distinct.

Description: Jae is a complication and contradiction rolled into one person. She's a conductor, leading with a beat only she can understand but which everyone can enjoy. I realize everyone is doing a little intro at the beginning and for some reason I didn't think of that. So I'm going to follow suit cause otherwise I seem so serious and like I only am here for the competition (insert a "I didn't come here to make friends" gif, but that's not me).
This is my second time auditioning. Last season I was selected and I had loads of fun, though I felt quite challenged by my model (her default face was razz and that can be hard to work with). I also didn't really know how any of it worked so I was in the deep end somewhat.
This season I'm going to work harder. And remind myself we're catwalk designers! Which is why for my audition I went with "What would the models wear off the catwalk".
Model 1 - Marilou
About the Look: yum_strawberry Marilou has gone for a decora look for exploring around Tokyo while avoiding paparazzi. She went with purple, because it really compliments her skin tones. She spent all runway season brushing up on her Japanese so that she could finally do Tokyo solo (Takeshi, her tour guide and ex, started dating a different model and she won't let it get to her). Once she's done in Tokyo she has a remote bath house around Mount Fiji booked for some relaxation.
For this look I wanted to go for a soft punk decora look, because I feel it compliments Marilou's dainty beauty. I am a sucker for leg mods, and specifically one's that involve bone motifs. I went with the despair colour scheme because I do find that the purples go well with Marilou's skin tone.
About the Look: yum_strawberry Vanity is currently on vacation in the South of France between runway seasons. She's not avoiding the paparazzi, in fact, she's hoping they get photos of her in her self designed summer dress. It's the perfect publicity just before she launches House Vanity, her self titled fashion brand.
I wanted Vanity to look summer-y and flowy, her hair really lends itself to that. I also went for softer pastels to give it a lighter look. I tried to focus on getting a nice layering for items for the dress, to give the design a bit more depth.
About the Look: yum_strawberry Tamara wanted to take some time off between runway shows, but when Save the Pollinators reached out looking for a new face for their next campaign, she couldn't say no. She was definitely relieved that they didn't have her dress like a bee like they did in last year's campaign and was more than happy to dress like a flower.
For Tamara I thought she looked quite soft and elegant, so floral seemed to match her natural look. Originally I was thinking about dressing her in only flowers, but layering the floral items I was looking at started covering some of her silhouette and face, so I went with flowers incorporated while wearing a dress.
Hello again my BEAUTIFUL Project Catwalk peeps, I hope everyone is as excited for the next cycle as I am!! For this round of auditions I kinda scratched my head a bit on my character designs. All the models are stunning, and each one presents her own set of challenges and strengths, and as I sat here, pouring over every possible idea....I settled on bringing Music to life! Specifically songs that have had me in a chokehold recently!
So here I am, presenting to you all, my gloriously musical girls!
Entry 1, Emerson Heels, nails, blades, mascara! Fit check for my napalm era!
If it wasn't already obvious, K-Pop Demon Hunters has me in a chokehold! While browsing this seasons glorious models, I kept coming back to Emerson. Her vibrant and colorful hair poses quite a challenge, and one I was very excited to tackle! I went for a vibrant and bright K-Pop style fit, accented with bright greens and pinks, with the black coming in so she wouldn't look like a giant glowing ball of color. I was trying to find a decent skirt or belt to pull her bottom half into the fit better, and while working with the opposites of her hair color on the color wheel, so I layered 2 of the same skirt from different color sets to get a yellowish pink that I think goes well! Emerson is a girl who isn't afraid to shine. When she walks into a room, she makes it her personal mission to bring life with her, a walking party if you will!
Her song inspiration is "How It's Done" from "K-pop Demon Hunters"

Entry 2, Olivia I'll embrace this Wonderland crown, I only paint in red now!
Back to song inspiration, i'm sure you see a theme going by now xD Olivia's hair and contrasting eyes made me instantly think Alice, so I went with my version of an Alice who embraced the Wonderland madness and became Queen. The pale blues are her signature color, one she won't let go of so easily, but the red's of Wonderland are slowly becoming her favorite color. Having stolen the Queen's throne, her first order of business was to rid Wonderland of those who had tormented her on her journey.
Her song inspiration is "I Only Paint in Red Now" by "Lydia the Bard"

Entry 3, Tara The Moon will sing a song for me, I loved you like the Sun
Tara was already beyond stunning with her gentle face, and those darling curls! I fought with a style before going for the deep yet bright blues of the "Starry" color pallet. As she came together, she indeed looked like a night sky, shimmering with stars and the light of the moon. Her song inspiration is a sad one, "The Moon Will Sing" by "The Crane Wives". Specifically the version by Annapantsu. With that in mind, despite the circumstances, Tara is determined to shine on her own!

Picture the perfume ads you used to see while flipping through BAZAAR or Allure magazine. All of them create this glamorous mood to try and imagine what a person with that smell would look like.
1. Model #1: Willow
Description: Overall, I think Willow's features lend well to a mature look with a sensual mouth and smoky eye. She's strutting on a balcony in the stars, showing herself as the untouchable angel.The silver details on her head and arms are reminiscent of starlight and royalty, while the belt accentuates her hips and helps provide more movement in the dress.
