Tempesti had chosen this spot for its seclusion. The relative isolation of a clearing within a densely wooded section of park would provide decent cover for her nocturnal activities. Even if the bobbing wisp that trailed her made certain that her solitude wasn’t quite complete. Her intentions weren’t sinister, of course, but she’d much rather not have to answer questions about her choice in exercise. Claims of parkour practice might fool some, but only if they didn’t see the leaps that cleared buildings and sent her sailing into the upper branches of trees. The privacy also came close to guaranteeing that she wouldn’t have an audience during the inevitable misses and misjudgments that accompanied training like this.

The sky’s abnormal clarity contributed to this sense of seclusion, the curtain of the city’s light pollution drawn aside for the evening as jets of light and color streaked across her field of vision. A beautiful distraction, but a distraction nonetheless. She stretched her legs and shoulders, preparing to make another jump.

Secluded spaces were some of Anser's favourites for training. She knew she hardly needed it, at this point. A burst of confidence had followed her Transcendence followed by her gaining her extra wings that hadn't quite worn off yet. It helped, honestly, that she had more power as this than she ever could as a barista. It helped further that she was actually making a difference.

Well. Maybe. Anser might've needed to crack some more skulls first. What Cybele and she had done to Faustite had certainly helped, but from what she understood, it wasn't like his influence was gone. And he had that whole damn team around him when they were fighting that ******** sky dragon snake thing-

Whatever.

When she had strolled into the clearing with the expectation of being alone with beautiful colours in the background. It was too bad she couldn't use any of this as a streaming promo. What she found was someone else, in the end.

She could work with this. A super senshi, not an enemy. "Hey!"

Tempesti turned around at the sound of a voice in the clearing, surprised to see another senshi, one even more thoroughly bedecked in feathers than she was. The other young woman pulled if off well at least, her fuku was a decidedly pretty one, its design enhanced by the lovely glowing markings spreading across her skin. She’d seen similar patterns on other senshi before, and had seen them appear on Sailor Asmodeus but she had no concrete idea about what they were or why they glowed.

“Oh, hello! She felt a bit self-conscious, both because she had been so focused on what she was doing that she hadn’t noticed the energy signature and at the prospect that the other senshi might have seen some of her exercises and/or failed attempts.

Anser chuckled a bit at the embarrassed response. She supposed she should have warned the other feathered senshi. But also, "No shame in practicing. I do the same actually." Anser giggled. "I mean, it's how we level up in the first place, right? How can we kick a bunch of chaotic a** if we haven't honed our own skills?"

Her eyes twinkled at the idea of kicking more chaotic a**. To a degree, it was what she lived for. It was what drove her forward in all this s**t. Maybe, finally, no one else would have to fear what was behind them in a way they couldn't articulate.

She bounced on her toes.

"Besides, I think the colours in the sky are a fun backdrop for these things anyway. Kinda motivating right?" Well, some people just wanted to stop and watch, but she wanted to kick more a** so more people could see these sights for years to come.

A smile crossed Tempesti’s face, the younger woman’s enthusiasm was disarming, even if she still felt a twinge of embarrassment. As though someone had walked in during a particularly unpolished rehearsal. “I can’t argue with that,” her eyes flicked upward in the general direction of the Calamitous Hollow’s prison, “Or a bunch of…non-Chaotic a**, if need be.” She shook her head, trying to chase off anxious thoughts of the Dark Star and its horrible planet eating friends that were probably just waiting to pop into their dimension for a visit.

“The sky really is beautiful though. Did you come out here to practice too?” It would probably be more effective to practice with another person, agility training aside.

Oh, right, whatever the ******** the sky dragon snake actually was. Anser, for her part, wasn't fully convinced it wasn't a force of chaos, just not one of Earth. The forces of Chaos didn't necessarily get along, did they? Anser was fairly sure the Dark Mirror Court and the Negaverse only really got along because they were stuck with each other anyway.

That and the Dark Mirror Court probably didn't stand a chance otherwise.

Regardless, Anser pulled her head out of her musing as she bounced on her toes some more. "Whatever dares to stand against us Order people, right?" Anser cracked her knuckles. "But yeah, I'm out here to practice! Why not right? Gotta keep myself prepared for whatever this bullshit throws at us next."

She grinned.

"Is there something you're working on?"

Tempesti raised her eyebrows slightly, fighting wasn’t something that came naturally to her. At least not enough that she would have such a blanket opinion on all potential opponents. She certainly harbored no love for the Negaverse, what she’d seen of them anyway. It wasn’t like she could sit one of them down and bombard them with questions about their ideology, the logic behind it. That would be the ideal situation, if she could understand why they did what they did maybe she could dissuade them. Even through her idealistic haze the senshi knew that was a pipe dream. The Dark Mirror Court for their part was largely a mystery to her. The ones she’d encountered hadn’t seemed especially violent, one had mentioned wraiths but she’d never seen one. Regardless of her feelings about individual factions, anger wasn’t a strong enough motivation. Protecting people on the other hand, that was something else entirely. That was why she wanted to get stronger, to keep innocents safe from people like that disgusting woman she’d seen at the battle against Harold.

Reminding herself of that was enough to bring her back to the conversation at hand. “Agreed. I was mostly working on agility tonight but if you wanted to spar or something I think that would be helpful.”

The other senshi seemed stronger than she was, likely rendering any sparring match a test of endurance more than anything else.
