Okenite had been running since the senshi had let him go, not exactly sure how far he’d have to run before he was sure there wasn’t going to be another fight. Everything hurt, all those bites through his suit from the starfish, and he didn’t know how he was going to explain things. This wasn’t anything like he thought it might be, but he didn’t want to turn down the pay or disappoint the higher-ups.

By the time he stopped feeling the one senshi, he thought he was feeling another, and stopped running so he could look for a place to hide and maybe power down. There weren’t really many places to do that, but he needed to take a minute to sit regardless and decided to tuck himself into the corner of a bench beneath a tree. There was at least some shadow there, so he got a moment to look over the damage.

There had still been a few starfish stuck on his legs, trying to get through his pants and socks to his ankles, so he shook them off and pulled his knees up onto the bench as the things dried up and flaked away. The sight of his own blood had him pale as he sat there and tried to catch his breath through hiccuping sobs. This was the last thing he wanted to deal with, and he didn’t even exactly know where he had ended up in the city; none of it looked familiar.

---------

Trying to find the perfect flower for the crown that she was weaving at the Bell's home was proving to be difficult. Eventually, Kasi found a place to transform into Aiolos to continue her search at night so she could supposedly have more protection. If she were honest with herself, she didn't believe that would help much considering her power was acting weird.

When she finally found the perfect flower, that was when she felt the sickness often associated with chaos. Her immediate reaction was to run and hide after powering down, but the sound of sobs caused her to pause. Worrying her lip, the senshi slowly made her way to the source of the sobs, blinking when she found the familiar outfit of Okenite. Ever cautious, Aiolos made her way to the sobbing man, trilling softly.

“O-Okenite…..Hurt?”

She stood before him then, at a distance while debating on whether or not she should offer to heal him. “W-Why hurt?” This was the first person other than the bells and Emain to be nice to her since coming here. Fidgeting with her hands, she shifted from foot to foot before making a decision, “I…I can…Heal? Help you?”

---------------

He’d had his head tucked into his arms as he sat on the bench, hurting and pretty tired of each time things had gone wrong and left him injured. It left him feeling stuck between the need for this job and the uncertainty if he really was fit for it.

Another senshi seemed to be getting closer, but he couldn’t really get up and run right now, not with his legs as chewed up as they were from the things. Curling up a bit tighter, he froze when he heard a familiar bird sound and then a voice.

Peeking up, his eyes were red from crying, and he didn’t know exactly what to say. They were technically a senshi, much as the other one that had knocked him down earlier, but they weren’t crazy violent like the others.

Hearing that she wanted to help, he rubbed his eyes and nodded. “Someone beat me up, and those weird starfish things ate through my clothes.” Pulling up a bit of his pant leg, he showed where he was still bleeding from. Even though that action hurt and he let out a pained noise as he looked up at them.

“Please help if you can.” If she could, that really would be nice, not that he expected them to help exactly. He knew that they at least wouldn’t hurt him more.

—-----------------------------

He got beat up?

Why?

Starfish? What were those?

The sight of his leg caused her to pale a little. If that was done by a starfish then she didn't want to encounter them anytime soon. Without hesitation, Aiolos came closer and tapped the jewel in the middle of her forehead, pulling out a baton and handing it to the agent before her. She felt a bit tired, but smiled gently, “T-Take. Make…Hurt go.” She hoped he would.

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Do you Accept?
Sailor Aiolos touches the purple stone on her forehead, and pulls out a baton of light. She would then offer the baton to the target, who will feel compelled to accept it. Once they take the baton, it dissipates and envelops them in a warm light. They will feel a wave of acceptance wash over them, often accompanied by a sensation of relief, calm, or peace. Her magic will heal all minor injuries and targets may get a slight second wind. This can be used three times and lasts for 30 seconds. This magic has no effect on severe or life-threatening injuries.

-------------

Blinking in disbelief at the baton of light, he hesitantly reached out for it as he nodded. If she was trying to help, even if he wasn’t sure exactly how this object would help, he had no issues accepting it from her.

It didn’t last long once he took it; instead, it dissipated, and he felt relieved for the first time this evening. Sinking back slightly to lean on the bench, he felt that pain and hurt easing up. It was unbelievable, but he was glad it did something.

“T-thank you, Aiolos.” It took him some time to stretch his legs down to the ground, but even though his clothes were still worse for wear, the bites weren’t bleeding anymore. They still itched and stung, but he wasn’t feeling as scared as he had been just moments before.

Seeing that she looked tired, he patted the bench next to him and nodded. “Sit, you look tired.” Maybe it was because she’d helped him, but he still didn’t really know how it all worked though.

—----------------------------------------------------------------

After he took the baton, Aiolos swayed a bit before stumbling outright. Using her powers has never caused her to fatigue so why now? She smiled weakly at the gratitude, “W-Welcome. Oken-n-nite better?” She tried to get to the seat, but she ended up falling onto her hands and knees, wondering just why the pavement wouldn't stay still. This was troubling…No Aiolos has ever encountered this state, nothing that she could remember from the library on her planet. There was a soft trill followed by a distressed chirp that came from her while she tried to keep herself upright.

Did….Maybe Okenite….Drained her?! Like that other, horrid senshi she encountered when she came to Earth? With shaky arms, Aiolos did manage to sit up, but she was more weary than ever. As much as she wanted to believe that this seemingly kind person didn't take her energy…

Which if she thought about it really hard…

Didn't she grow tired when using HER power? Thats correct.

Instead of running off like she wanted to, Aiolos managed to get up on shaky legs to sit on the bench next to Okenite, keeping a bit of distance since this was the second time they've met and he was on the opposite side of things. However, she was a bit more tired than she thought because the moment her body relaxed, her eyes closed and she slowly tilted to the left side till she met some resistance. The alien bird was fast asleep.

---------------

Reaching out carefully, he noticed her stumbling and falling to the ground. “Aiolos! Are you okay?” He’d almost gotten up to help, but she’d already started up and moved to sit. It was worrying that by helping him, she was so drained. This wasn’t like when he drained people; they didn’t just collapse or anything like that.

Thinking through things, he’d been working on pulling out some more seeds and berries from subspace when he noticed the weight on his shoulder. Blinking in surprise, he tried not to jostle her much if she really was that exhausted.

It was awkward, he’d never dealt with something like this before, but hopefully getting some rest would have her perking right back up. And when she did get up, he had some high-energy seeds, fruits, and berries for her to help.

It did have him conflicted, though. She was on the enemy side, apparently, but he’d never really consider this bird-like woman one of those crazies like earlier this evening. Leaning his own head back on the bench, he wasn’t opposed to resting as well now that things felt safer and he wasn’t wounded and scared anymore.

If this one wanted to help him… maybe he should do as the crazy one had said and grow a spine. At least if it meant maybe he could make sure none of the other agents or senshi on his side did anything to harm this one. She seemed like him, not really wanting to fight or really get involved in any of that violence. It made him feel bad about how she’d found him, but for now,w he just focused on feeling if anyone else showed up from either side.

—-------------------------------------------

It was only a couple more minutes before Aiolos started to come to, letting out a soft yawn. She knew she was outside, but when was the bench so…Squishy? Hard? What was she laying on? As soon as her vision cleared, she saw dark blue with some sort of pattern…Then it hit her. O-Oh!

With a small squawk, Aiolos sat up, looking a bit red in the face. “S-Sorry…D-Didn’t…” The bird woman twiddled her thumbs. Was he going to get mad? Her heart started to race a bit…What if he got mad and hurt her?! Chaos does that right?! Just because he was nice to her for a little bit doesn't mean that he would always be nice.

She really didn't want to get hurt today.

As if she were going to literally take flight, Aiolos began to look around frantically, sitting up on slightly shaky legs. “Didn't mean! D-Don't…No hurt please!” God she would have to learn the Earth language at some point, she hated sounding so….Uneducated.

—-------------------------------------------

Aiolos’s sudden movement had him tensing and leaning his head back up to look. Concern was the main thing on his face as he looked at her. “Oh! Are you okay?” Worried because she still looked shaky, he scrambled with the snacks for her.

“I hope these might help you…” Then, when she seemed to grow more frantic, he found himself half lost on how to proceed. It wasn’t hard for him to notice she looked like she was about to flitter off like a scared bird, but he wasn’t sure what might help ease her worries.

“No, I.. well, I didn’t mind, you helped me.” It wasn’t like she’d drooled on him or had been terribly uncomfortable. It had been nice, in all honesty, but he wasn’t sure if that was something he should say considering things.

“Why would I hurt you?” Now more confused than anything, he started to wonder if he’d done anything that might have seemed like he would, aside from just being chaos. Sitting up a bit more, not getting up but at least not being slouched and half asleep on the bench, he looked around as if someone might pop up and cause trouble.

“If anything, I would have strong words for someone trying to hurt you. Please sit though, I’m worried that you look so tired after helping me.”

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to her panic, her head wings had covered her face while shaking. Aiolos slowly uncovered her eyes, spotting the fruit and seeds that the young me held out for her. He gave her seeds last time right? He didn't hurt her then…Slowly sitting down, still fumbling with her hands while her head wings visibly shook, the senshi stared at the offering before looking up at the agent. “B-Big…Erm…” she raised her arm in the air to represent the mean senshi's giantess in regards to her smaller stature. “I…I try to….Heal.” she tapped her jewel before continuing, “But no work.” Her hands started fumbling again, “T-Then…Pain, t-tell me to…Do. C-Comanded. I no do, but pain.”

“I d-do…Don't want pain.” She knew this wasn't the best description of what happened between her and that awful senshi she encountered before Emain came to her rescue, but that was the best she could do. “C-Chaos…Hurt.” She whimpered, chittering softly. “B-But, O-Okeenite…You no hurt.” Which was strange given the fact that he was chaos but nonetheless she was happy. She looked at his offering, trying to be polite, “C-Can has?” her head tilted while she waited.

The berries smelled delicious and there were more sunflower seeds this time!

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Waiting as she got out what happened, he couldn’t exactly understand all of the details, but he got the gist. So not only did healing make her tired, but it also sounded like it didn’t always work. It also seemed like that wasn’t something she had control over, so for someone to do that made it sound almost as bad as the senshi who had ended up beating him up over and over again at this point.

“I wouldn’t hurt you if it hadn’t worked…” Though he probably would have still been in a dreadful state, which might have upset them more. “I don’t hurt anyone, but it doesn’t seem like others believe me.” It’s not like he started fights or drained people too much. Just doing his job and gathering energy, nothing more for now aside from filing reports.

Nodding and offering the snack mix to her, he hoped it might help her calm down. “I made sure to bring more of the ones you liked. I hope that’s okay?”

—-----------------------------------------------------

Taking the snack mix slowly, Aiolos looked down and took a berry, eating it slowly as if to savor the flavor. Her face instantly brightened up, and she promptly ate a bit faster, swallowing before talking, “T-Thank you.” She smiled at the agent, then reached into the bag, pulling out a sunflower seed, “You…Take? Is good~” sharing was caring after all and since this is the second time they've met and he hasn't tried to murder her, she figured she could afford to let her walls down now. “Can….O-Okenite tell Aiolos about Earth?” She nibbled on her snacks while waiting for an answer.

Maybe he could teach her a lot of things!? Like how to read their language!? She really wanted to find a library with a bunch of books to immerse herself.

—-----------------------------------------------------

Glad to see her munching, noticing that the berries seemed to be a hit with her, Okenite was going to pull out one of his own snacks when they offered him seeds. Smiling, he nodded and munched on the sunflower seeds after cracking the shells open with his fingers. “They are pretty good. I like pistachios, but the shells are hard to deal with without making a mess or leaving waste around.”

The next question had him a bit puzzled, not because of it but more because he wasn’t sure where to begin. “Oh, well, what would you want to know? It’s a planet covered in a lot of water, even if it might not seem like it here in the city.” Thinking on it, he pulled his pocket bird guide out, since it did have maps of where birds were. Flipping through some of the pages, he held it open for her to look at.

“See, all the blue is water and the brown is land. This is the book someone I know worked on when researching migration patterns of tropical birds.” He couldn’t say it was his parents, just in case they might put two and two together and it might get to someone like the woman from earlier.

“I never traveled far, though, only stayed here really aside from a few family trips.” It was too expensive, and he never wanted to rely on his parents for money. But hopefully soon, if he could manage to not get injured, he was planning to use some of the savings he had from the Negaverse to travel a little bit if he could.

—--------------------------------------------------------------

"Pi-sta-chios?" What kind of snack was that? "Can has pi-sta-chios too? Want to try." Anything in a shell was tasty to her, except maybe eggs. But that was because she couldn't bear the thought that she was eating young that belonged to an animal. Aiolos listened carefully as Okenite explained that Earth was a planet covered in a lot of water, which was quite different compared to her home planet. "A-Aiolos....H-Home, is....Erm..." She tried to make motions with her arms and hands, but she figured it wouldn't work, "No....Water like E-Earth. Is float." Damn it! Describing her home would be a lot easier if he could speak their language but that wasn't happening. "W-We...Make water." in fact, it flowed off of the islands of her home, making fountains that ended in the abyss.

She looked at his book with interested eyes, scanning the pictures. "Travel?" Oh! Like how the explorers used to do on her planet! "Aiolos...Uh...W-Weeeee have...E-Explorers...They t-travel, bring things back." Oh! That was a good sentence! "S-Sorry...I no...Not speak Earth w-well yet." She would have to figure out if someone at the Bell's house could teach her the Earth language so she could communicate better. "Can...Take you to Aiolos...O-One day?"

—--------------------------------------------------------------

“Pistachios, it’s another type of seed or nut. I don’t have any on me right now but… I can bring some next time.” Since it seemed likely they wouldn’t run if he happened upon them again or if she found him while he was out. Though this time had been a fluke which he wasn’t sure he wanted a repeat of, with the senshi before and those starfish.

Trying to follow what she said, he wasn’t sure he understood. “So water isn’t in an ocean? It comes from something that is made on Aiolos?” How it floated was beyond him but considering she seemed bird-like enough it might just be a way for saying it was high up. While her speech wasn’t fluid, he wasn’t completely thrown off from it. In the community of mathmeticians, many of them didn’t speak the same first language so he had heard many varieties of broken english before and this wasn’t the worst even if he didn’t understand some of the context.

“Yes! Oh yes, birds migrate, they travel to get food and nest in other places then come back with their young. Explorers I think would fit people more but yes, I think that makes sense.” It was a more complicated string she’d put together and there must be many differences between here and there.

“It’s okay, I’ve heard lots of other Earth languages try to speak this one, which is English. I know a little of a few other languages as well.” Since his parents had taught him German and some French, not that he used either much out side of family visits with the older generations.

At the mention of being brought away, he was torn between excitement and worry. While it sounded nice, he wasn’t sure how he felt about being whisked away somewhere. But considering she had helped him he nodded for now. “Maybe one day, I’m nervous to travel.” Which was true in general but there was a lot to consider and he doubted Laven would like to hear that he was pulled away to a senshi’s world.

—----------------------------------

So pistachios was another type of delicious seed?!

Aiolos was definitely more interested in having pistachios! After hearing that there would be a next time that Okenite would come visit, there was a feeling of…Excitedness. Had she made her first friend?! She hopped so! Frowning, she tried to explain what she meant with the water, “N-No ocean….Ummmm….F-Floating! Uhhhh….I-Islands! W-Water go down from there!” She wished she could draw what she meant, that would be easier. “I-Islands in clouds….A-Aiolos….No land on….Erm…Planet.” Aiolos is a gas giant…. Maybe there used to be land in the past but she would have to check the records in the library and she wasn't ready to go back yet.

“Y-Yes! Make water on islands~” At least he was starting to understand some of what she was saying and that was a plus! “More…Earth language?” like different dialects?! Oh! Maybe she could learn all of them?! How many were there?! She really wished she could speak better. “Okenite speak…Other Earth language?” Her eyes were wide with excitement and curiosity. “C-Can teach Aiolos?” Her head wings were flapping with the excitement she was feeling while her tail started to literally vibrate. “O-Okay. One day will take Okenite. Will be safe, no hurt.” she looked down at her hands, fiddling with them while she looked at her new friend with a smile.

—----------------------------------

While it didn’t exactly make sense, given it was another planet maybe that was just how things went. And as she explained there was no land, he wondered if that meant it was something like one of those planets that were all gas that he had learned about in science class. That really didn’t bode well for him considering he couldn’t fly but he couldn’t deny that he wasn’t at least a bit curious about where she had come from.

“I see, it sounds very different from here and much better suited for those with wings. At least if there’s no ocean there aren’t any starfish.” Joking lightly as he rubbed at his sore leg. While he was healed and everything and in a much better state of mind, he knew he would still be a bit sore for a few days at least which would be fine. He’d play it a bit safer if he could.

“Oh yes, there are many languages on Earth, some of them have different dialects of their own as well but that can be really complicated for some languages.” It had been something his mother had dabbled in alongside her research on migratory birds. In his opinion it made sense considering how many places she traveled and how it would help make her job easier and more efficient if she knew the local language.

Smiling at her obvious excitement, he nodded. “I can try in the future, the languages I know are a bit hard to learn. I can help you with English first though, most people use that before anything else.” And hers wasn’t bad, just choppy and without the context and understanding of things that came from someone who lived here.

“Okay, one day I will go to Aiolos, when I’m a bit less nervous to travel.” And once he was able to find out from Laven in a roundabout way if it wouldn’t have him ending up in trouble or that some weird magic space thing would harm him that might be out of his or Aiolos’s knowledge.
