Personal Raincloud (11) : It’s a beautiful, sunny day in Destiny City–for everyone but you. There’s not a cloud in the sky–except for yours. No matter where you go, a dark cloud seems to hover, casting shadows wherever you go. It’s been raining since you woke up today, and it’s like bad luck and bad weather just follows you. It’s a constant downpour, always exactly where you are. The raincloud is usually big enough to easily cover a full building, so if you stick around for too long, your misfortune will turn into someone else’s too. The raincloud might follow you for a few hours or for the whole day before slowly fading; there’s no escaping it, or the strange, sombre mood that seems to follow you.

He woke to rain a few mornings after Waru climbed through his window. He heard it clatter against his window and blinked at his ceiling. Rain? In July? Then again, this was Destiny City, it probably was a quirk of the weirdness around the city. Hopefully it would clear up and not make the entire day a damn depressing sight.

Jayce rolled out of bed and swung his legs over the side with a sigh. He had no clients today; it was his day off from his day job, and he was meaning to do his work out and then find somewhere to train. He’d probably do his daily draining quota too, but the whole prospect of doing just about anything today left him feeling like crawling back into bed. He pulled on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt, wandering out into the kitchen. He saw no sign of Baz or the dads, and sorted himself out a brunch of an omlete and prework out.

He didn’t quite know what to do with Waru right now. Hearing that not only was the man running from his entire team and trying to drown his feelings in other men, but that at least one of his husbands had no idea that Waru was sleeping with Jayce? It left a bad taste in his mouth. Jayce knew he was an open lover; he wanted to make men feel good and give them a good time. By Odin, he did cam work because it was sometimes safer than just constantly having randoms over at the house. Plus it made bank compared to his personal training, and he didn’t feel like it was work. It was fun, and he got a lot of enjoyment pleasing his viewers.

Something that Jayce always prided himself on though, was his open dialogue with his partners. He didn’t have a main squeeze these days, though he did have casual partners. Primarily Waru, though that now included Eles, and a few guys from the gym who wanted to let off some steam. Everyone kept each other safe - protection, preventive screenings and meds, that sort of thing - and it was all in good fun. If Jayce ever did get a main squeeze, he’d tell his other casual partners and there would be a whole discussion about it.

He’d thought that Waru would do the same - especially given that he’s <******** married. Except no, it appeared he just left one husband completely out of the loop to protect himself. That was the real issue at heart. Waru was trying to protect himself from Cassian’s response, under the guise of trying to protect Cass. Except Cass was going to be hurt either way; either by Waru avoiding him, or when he found out that Waru was sleeping with literally everyone but him.

A part of him wanted to call up Cass and tell him that Waru had been spending time in his bed. A greater part of him told him that Waru had to do that, and hearing it from Jayce wouldn’t end well at all. He cursed Loki under his breath and let out a sigh. A ******** mess this all was.

Jayce cleaned up his brunch and left to head to the gym. The rain followed him. Quite literally, actually. This giant rain cloud just… floated above him, and left a path of rain water all the way to the gym. The rain lingered while he was at the gym, and then followed him all the way back home before he decided to say screw it, and teleported into the castle to use the training spaces there instead.

The rain did linger over Baz’ house until he returned several hours later, sweat drenched and exhausted.
