Good morning everyone! As you may have already been aware, today is Saturday. Which means it's The Sabbath, the seventh day of the week! This also marks our first Sabbath together in the history of our guild/church!
As is custom, per God's Written Word; The Sabbath Day is a holy day meant for rest and fellowship with our beloved Creator And Father, Yahweh. Let's take a moment and acknowledge our God and challenge ourselves to do something today that honors Him to show our appreciation towards Him!
Perhaps go out to eat somewhere and pull a chair out for The Lord and have a meal with Him in spirit. Or do some random act of kindness for someone.
When your intentions are to please Lord Jesus; an act of kindness towards someone is like giving Jesus a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
One day, Jesus' Disciples were picking corn and the pharisees questioned Jesus why they were doing so on The Sabbath and this is what He Told them:
And the Pharisees said unto Him, "Behold, why do they on The Sabbath Day that which is not lawful?
And He Said unto them, "Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
How he went into The House Of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?"
And He Said unto them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for The Sabbath: - Jesus, Mark 2:22-27
