And yet, here they are–in hoards. They can be found near any water source–and far from it. These starfish seem to be a unique species that are eager to travel and don’t seem quite bound to water, though they will seek it out. The starfish will latch onto just about anything they can to hitch a ride, even though they’re fast. They secrete an itchy, oozy slime after they’ve latched onto something, and though it seems as though they can absorb nutrients from any living creature, these starfish have an odd penchant for blood. You might as well have a colorful leech stuck to you as soon as you think one of these things crawling your way. Their bites are sharp and will leave the nearby skin itchy and painful. They are a bit difficult to remove but they can be killed; as soon as they have perished, they will rapidly dry out and crumble. However, it’s far more likely that they’ll escape before you can get your hands on them. Be vigilant; these things are pests–and smart enough to cling to people and vehicles alike if it means getting to where they want to go. "S***!" Bell said as he looked down at his leg to see what had attached to it. He was surprised to find one of the, many, starfish in the area had decided to attach to his leg and somehow had pierced his boots and... stung him? Did starfish sting? Whatever it was, it hurt and it seemed to be very attached to his leg right now. He had only been looking around to see if there was a good spot for sending out his wraiths to drain some energy and instead found what appeared to be a giant starfish migration. Or whatever it was called, he didn't expect them to be so far from the ocean, or to come up and drag his leg. He tried moving his leg a bit to see if it would fly off, but in response it seemed to clamp itself down even more and Bell could feel pain shoot through his ankle. "Get off!" He yelled at it, though it probably didn't understand human speech. And now he was vulnerable to attack from anyone who may have wanted to hit a DMS.

Tempesti had been patrolling, trying to track down a Chaotic energy signature she’d sensed in the area, when an exclamation rang through the air. The senshi couldn’t tell if the voice was pained, alarmed, or just annoyed but she decided to play it safe and hurried over to ensure that nobody needed help. She didn’t smell any of those unholy chickens, so hopefully this wouldn’t be the one member of the flock who chooses to bathe. As she rounded the corner, the source of the elusive energy she’d been tracking presented himself, apparently another victim of a starfish attack. A Dark Mirror Senshi, from the look of him. Unless there were Negas who also used those bracers. But he didn’t seem to have any of those…holes…in his skin that Negaverse senshi did. Not wanting to give the impression of another assailant, she held her hands up in a peaceful gesture. She wouldn’t start a fight here if he wouldn’t. “Trying to shake them off doesn’t work. Those things are stubborn.” She approached slowly but stopped a few yards away. “If you’re alright with it, I could be an extra pair of hands. To help get it off your leg, I mean.” She really hoped that it didn’t sound like a trap, the last thing he needed was to get startled and stumble into more of the things.

Bell finally sensed the Order aura in the area and turned to face the Senshi who had addressed him, but before he could say yes the starfish pierced him again. "Y-hnngh!" He said, flinching as the thing apparently tried to dig into his leg. He had a pained look on his face. "Ye-yeah. Damn thing has pierced through my boot and as -sh*t!" Again! He just wanted it off! "Mypowerisfire, don'twanttoburnmyleg, anyhelpiswelcome." He managed to get it out before he was pierced again. "When I get you off you are fried starfish!" He said to the starfish that probably didn't understand words.

Tempesti winced sympathetically as the dark-clad senshi shouted and struggled to dislodge the stubborn starfish. “Alright, hold still for a sec.” Dropping to a crouch beside him she inspected the creature latched onto his boot. “I’m going to take a multitool out of my subspace, alright?” It was more a warning than a question and the small silver object materialized in her palm. “Ah, here we go,” the senshi flicked out a knife, “OK, you really need to stay still for this part. I don’t want to stab your boot.” Carefully wedging the point between two of the starfish’s arms she pried it loose, letting it fall to the ground. “It’ll itch for a while but if I use this, it should close up the wound.” Tempesti gestured to a small round compact mirror hanging from a golden chain around her neck. “I mean, if you want me to.” She’d hardly be able to blame the stranger if he didn’t want an Order senshi touching him with any kind of magic. SSBrosB Mirror of Minor Healing: When Tempesti uses the mirror to reflect light onto a person outside of combat it will heal minor wounds and partially slow bleeding in moderate wounds, buying time for more effective healing measures to arrive.

Before he could cry out again, and before the starfish could stab him again, Bell silently nodded and let the Senshi do, whatever it was to get the starfish off. He let out a breath when the thing finally came off though where it had stabbed him hurt a little. He was just glad that he had managed to stay still long enough that he didn’t get stabbed again, accidentally this time. He let out a sigh, but winced as he felt the pain of the hole in his skin hit the air. “Uh, sure, that would be great.” He said a bit hesitantly, wondering how it would work. He had no doubt that the Order Senshi was trying to help, he just wondered what was going to happen. “I’m Bellerophon, though I usually just go by Bell. Thanks for helping me.” He knew that some Order Senshi were quite against the Dark Mirror, but both sides just wanted what they thought was best, even if it didn’t erase the Dark Past that both of them had. It was just the Negaverse now that seemed to want to cause pain. He didn’t mention that he was here to see if he could drain anyone. Even if the other was being nice to him now, that could change in a moment.

Tempesti nodded as she unclasped the mirror from around her neck, relieved that he was willing to accept help. Even if the starfish didn’t leave life-threatening wounds she knew that the pain was enough to be a significant nuisance. “Sailor Tempesti.” She gave him a reassuring smile. “I’m just going to take my mirror and use it to reflect some light on you. It’ll just take a second and you’ll feel better. You’ll still probably be itchy though, sorry. But that only lasted a few hours for me. Calamine lotion helped.”Summoning her phone from her subspace, she turned on the flashlight before flicking open the mirror and aiming the reflected light onto the punctured boot. Obstructed view or not, it had worked in the past so hopefully it would at least mitigate the dark mirror senshi’s problem.
