Poultrygeist (15) : As Destiny City is a bustling metropolis, it’s not unexpected that there should be some strange animals running the streets. Sometimes it’s a tiger, sometimes a monkey, sometimes a chicken. Sometimes it’s something worse. Strange egg clusters have appeared in Destiny City’s parks and officials aren’t really sure what they are; these eggs have nothing inside of them. Though it’s an anomaly, they are chalking it up to teenaged pranks. However, they have advised to just leave the eggs as they are. Nobody wants to say why, but if you’re out late at night, you’ll find out. In the darkness, whispered between the sounds of the city: a guttural, rasping cluck. The creature stands on stilt-like legs, rooted to the ground with razor-sharp talons. It wears a cloak of long, oily feathers that drag on the ground with a sinister scraping. If you stare into the darkness, piercing red eyes stare back at you. That’s all it takes for a confrontation: a mangled bird, maybe a chicken in another life, comes barreling out at you. It stands easily as tall as a person, but the proportions are all wrong. The smell of sulfur follows it as it lunges, pecking and screaming and scratching as it attempts to chase you away. Maybe, from the nests full of empty eggs. The battles are fierce, but fleeting; it will viciously try to chase you away but the effects are always the same: at some point, the eggs are crushed. As always, there’s nothing inside of them, but with one final wail, the bird will vanish into a plume of foul smoke.

Note: If you choose to encounter one of these bird-like creatures, your character will recognize they are not youma. It is impossible to tell if it is a single entity or if there are many. The bird does not seem to understand or care to listen to human words. It will always disappear in a malodorous plume of smoke and leave nothing but a foul odor and a clutch of empty, broken eggs behind. This RP can be used as a battle requirement as long as there are two powered characters involved; you must be interacting with another player’s powered character. This does not count as the one youma battle per stage for growth so characters can still use an NPC youma battle as well as this one for growth purposes. This can only be used as a battle requirement once per character, but there is no limitation for how many times a player can use this prompt.

Odainsaker hadn't really expected there to be some crazy hen-periment running loose in the city. From the reports it sounded like something out of Jurassic park. The squire stood looking at one of the parks where the eggs were reported. She'd picked one of the smaller ones to investigate since she was sure the major parks were all crawling with magical beings trying to figure out who let loose the magical chicken ghost thing.

"I really hope this doesn't bite me in my a**." She muttered as she walked slowly further into the park. Watching for any egg clusters that might be hanging around. Ideally, the squire wanted to bust one but be far enough away she could keep a look out for the demon bird. Granted that would probably be harder said than done since most of the eggs seemed to be too far from trees or any decent hiding spots.

"What to do??" She said softly thinking.

Destiny City got weird this time of year. The entire latter part of the year, in addition to youma and the usual bad guys, entirely unrelated monsters would crop up. And Aruna? She was not excited about it this year. Last year, she had the most unfortunate Halloween season, though at least winter had been slightly better. This year, it was shaping up to be about as she expected. So far, she had dealt with energy sucking starfish creatures, and a decidedly demonic bird. She wasn't looking forward to any more awful creatures, but she knew that she did, in fact, have cosmically awful luck in that regard.

Making her way through a small park, the Eternal Senshi took note of a Squire she didn't' recognize, and made her way over. Making new connections was high priority on her list of things to do, so at the very least, she could introduce herself, she thought.

"Everything alright? You seem like you're having a hard time deciding something." Her voice was soft but easily heard as she came closer, hoping not to startle the other too badly.

Odainsaker had felt the energy signature closing in as she was studying the eggs trying not to disturb anything until she was ready. There was a chuckle when the voice pierced the night, "I've heard about some sort of feathered fowl that smells of sulfur."

There was a soft turn as she smiled, "I was debating the best way to summon it where I had cover but it seems as if the feathered fiend has other plans for the unsuspecting."

Odain gave a chuckle and dropped some of the formality, "Sorry, I really wanted to do that. But in all seriousness I came out to check out these reports because I was curious what actually was causing these eggs to appear."

She shifted softly, "I guess the only best way is to actually do something to summon the fiend."
